The Devil knows his time is short. So, he is full of wrath.

The son of perdition is out there, among us, like a wolf in sheep clothing.

He is full of wrath. He is the Son of Satan.

Discuss.

Test me, as you please... just trying to get people to think. (Besides whatever alterior motives I may have... hehehe... ;-) )

Good question.

The first woe is described in Revelation 9.

The second woe is described in Revelation 11.

I can not just throw out pearls and diamonds easily. We must speak about such matters in caution.

So, let us do so. What do you think the first and second woe were?

As for the two witnesses, I will warn you, they could be just one person. And, I can prove that, too. This, I can prove by Scripture. Quite easily.

If you know the Book of Zechariah.

Or, are willing to look.

And, maybe start there... or, you can start with the first woe, if you wish... I can tell you what it was.

I'll be glad to look, but it might also be good for you to realize that, I, as a fellow Christian, have been at this hermeneutical and exegetical "thang" for quite some time myself. I'm not a newbie.

With that said, I'll continue to claim that I'm not sure what all of the various motifs in the Prophets and/or from John of Revelation amount to. I'll only claim that I think I have two or three intuitions about some.......i.e. a few.....of the various symbols and metaphors we find in the books of Daniel and Revelation. So, what are the first woes? I can't be sure, although I think that I can perhaps agree with you that [maybe] the first two woes are already past. It's just that I don't know this for sure. ;)

Right. LOL. That’s why they are called “two”.
I think you need some serious counseling.
Is that any way to start a fruitful discussion?

Ok we’re waiting.....
The church will be here until the great tribulation is done.
She is here till the day of the Lord, and that won't start till the moon has already turned to blood/6th seal.
Joel told us that the moon becomes blood before the great and terrible day of the LORD.
The church is to be found blameless in that day -the day of the Lord.
Paul will rejoice and get a crown in that day....the day of His appearing.
2 Thessalonians 2
tells to - let no man deceive you
that day - shall not come
till what?
the man of sin be revealed - sitteth in the temple
till the day of Christ
till the day of our gathering unto Him
the day of Christ
We are to be blameless till this day. It is the same day as the day of the Lord.
He still hasn’t told us what the first woe is.....
Guess he is going to keep us waiting. Here is my humble view.

The 1st woe appears to be at the 5th trumpet:
Revelation 8:13
Woe, woe, woe
to the inhabitants of the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!

Revelation 9
1 And the fifth Messenger trumpets and I saw a star out of the heaven having fallen into the land and was given to him the key of the well of the abyss.

6 In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.
REVELATION 9:6 'MEN WILL BE SEEKING THE DEATH, DEATH IS FLEEING FROM THEM"

11 And they had as king over them the Messenger of the bottomless pit, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon, but in Greek he has the name Apollyon/Destroyer.

12 One woe is past. Behold, still two more woes are coming after these things.
================
The 2nd comes after the 2 witnesses are killed and are "raptured" at the beginning of the great Harvest:

Revelation 11:

7 When they finish their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit will make war against them, overcome them, and kill them.
12 nd they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “ascend ye here!.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.
13 In the same hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell. In the earthquake seven thousand people were killed, and the rest were afraid and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14 The second woe is past. Behold, the third woe is coming quickly.
--------------
I believe the 3rd woe is after the 7th trumpet could be the bowls of wrath poured out on 1st century Jerusalem/Temple [IMHO}

THE SEVEN BOWLS OF WRATH IN REVELATION STUDY

Revelation 16:
1 And I hear a great sound/voice out of the Sanctuary/Naos<3485> saying to the seven Messengers "be going!<5217> and be pouring out! the seven Bowls<5357> of the fury of the God into the land.

The final bowl 7th Messenger:

17 And the seventh Messenger pours out His Bowl upon the air<109> and came out a great voice out of the Sanctuary of the God saying "it is done!"

Revelation 9 Commentary

The woes are connected to Islam per the reformers

9:1-2 The Fifth Trumpet, The First Woe: Many Christian expositors, including Martin Luther, the great Reformer; Sir Isaac Newton, the famous scientist; and the historian, Edward Gibbon; have seen in the fifth and sixth trumpets the rise and progress of Islam. In view of the tremendous military, religious, economic and cultural impact Islam has had on the Christian world in the nearly fourteen hundred years since its rise in the 600s, this interpretation deserves our serious attention.

Islam, the religion of the followers of Mohammed, originated around A.D. 612.

As we have seen before, a “star” represents a leader. The “bottomless pit” comes from the Greek word “abbusos,” where we get our word “abyss,” and it means a desolate empty place; similar to the word “void” in Genesis 1:2. This star or great leader was Mohammed, the founder of Islam. The “bottomless pit” applies here to the vast desolate wastelands of present day Saudi Arabia, from which “the smoke,” the religion of Islam, issued forth, darkening the light of Christ and Christianity in all the lands that come under their control.

Whatever they see is off kilter. The Seals are opened at the Midway point, therefore no Trumpets came be upon us. Islam will be destroyed by the Beast and his 10 Kings. The number 10 can mean the FULNESS of the Kings as 10 sometimes represents a full number of an unknown quantity.

Satan is busy trying to confuse the masses with many interpretations, but there is just one.

oh how interpretations have digressed from the protestant reformers.

I will go with their interpretations not yours.

Your last sentence is so true.

Interesting.
That makes sense since the Muslims did attack Jerusalem.
Revelation 17 mentions the 10 kings attacking the Harlot Great City [which I view as Jerusalem].

Revelation 17:
15 And He is saying to me "These the Waters which thou saw, where the harlot is sitting, are peoples and multitudes<3793> are being, and nations and tongues.
16 And the ten Horns which thou saw and the Beast, These shall be hating the harlot, and They shall be making Her desolate<2049> and naked, and the fleshes of Her they shall be eating<5315> and shall be burning<2618> Her in fire.
17 For the GOD gives<1325> into Their hearts to do<4160> the mind<1106> of Him, and to do One mind and to give Their kingdom to the Beast
until shall be being finished<5055> the words of the GOD.
===========================
First the Babylonians, 2nd the Romans, then by the Muslims.....interesting history.
