Unforgiveness is a damnable sin.
Unforgiveness is a damnable sin.
But.... If your a Calvinist it does not matter... As the Lord’s grace will preserve you.
I met a lady who is in her fifties as well as I. This lady was Baptist, single, never married, and I thought we were the perfect fit... But the more that woman talked... Come to find out that she sees nothing wrong with the party and sex scene. I finally, after enduring much talk on carnality, said to her, "You know I don't believe you can do those things and get to heaven." Almost immediately she replies, "Are you trying to threaten my salvation?"
It is distressing, to an extent, to realize some people will put their reasons in place of what Jesus says or does not say.
Clearly, yes.Can Christians divorce?
Yes, clearly.Clearly, yes.
unforgiveness is in the form of holding a grudge, not leaving the person who is destructive. God gave everyone a life and it is also our responsibility to take care of it physically, mentally, and spiritually.First marriage divorce = unforgiveness. Separation is expected in abusive marriages. But forgiveness is always on the table. No forgiveness = a damnable sin.
You must forgive to be forgiven. You must separate from violence as Christians in the NT did without exception.unforgiveness is in the form of holding a grudge, not leaving the person who is destructive. How can it not be unforgiveness if a Christian initiates it?You are correct, but it is your opinion that divorce is unforgiveness. Scripture doesn't say that divorce is unforgiveness.
Saved people don't live in sin.But.... If your a Calvinist it does not matter... As the Lord’s grace will preserve you.
Nope, that's works. We are not saved through anything we can do. We are saved through grace. You must forgive to be forgiven.
How can it not be unforgiveness if a Christian initiates it?
“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,” (Hebrews 10:26) (KJV 1900)Nope, that's works. We are not saved through anything we can do. We are saved through grace.
To say otherwise it to declare Christ's death unnecessary.
“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,” (Hebrews 10:26) (KJV 1900)I ask again, where is the scripture?
“For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,” (Hebrews 10:26) (KJV 1900)
Is divorce motivated by love? If not it is sin.Try again?
Nothing in there says that divorce is unforgiveness.
Is divorce motivated by love? If not it is sin.
