The government employees, who have been working for almost 30 days without compensation, have decided to make their dissatisfaction known through song.

According to travelers at the airport, the TSA has been blaring hip hop classics with uncensored expletives from artists like Travis Scott, Kanye West and Drake. A spokesperson for JFK Airport told Business Insider that TSA employees are allowed to choose the music that plays at several of the airport's eight terminals. The airport, reportedly, has no intention of disciplining the agents.

Right . . . send them home with pay during an investigation.

I'm sorry if I threw things off. In case this makes sense >

I meant this as an expression of irony, maybe sarcasm > they already are not getting paid; so if they send them home while they are investigated, they aren't getting paid, anyway.

Plus, I now think of something else > are there any workers available to do investigations or to enforce regulations and standards?

The current government shutdown, the longest shutdown in US history, affects an estimated 51,000 TSA agents, who are among the 800,000 government employees who are expected to work without pay.

I guess we need another couple of planes flying into buildings before we take the government shutdown seriously?

Wait... Travis Scott, Kanye, and Drake constitute "classic" hip hop? How old am I?

It's ok, I'm old enough to wonder how any Hip Hop can be considered "Classic." In fact, I was a bit disturbed when I saw a "Classic Auto" state license plate on a 90s Toyota yesterday.

How about Golden Age and Silver Age like in comics? I would consider 80s and 90s to be two distinct eras before hip hop truly became a fully mainstream genre.
