Insecurity is a terrible dark which hangs over the heads of a whole lot of people, myself being included. Whether being insecure about petty things like, looks and/or self image or insecure of oneself worrying about if they r “ good enough” for other people. I have dealt with insecurity since I was 14 and I still do till this day. I have never felt “pretty, cute, or beautiful” I’m constantly judging myself, when I look in the mirror I see nothing but my imperfections, whether it’s from me having an odd nose to have chubby cheeks, I’m always picking on something about myself. I always think everyone is prettier than me. I have always been one to see beauty of everyone else except myself. I often get tangled up in the webs of beauty videos online, and often google”how to look pretty” “ how to look like a model” realize it’s the enemies lies and that he try’s to make me forget that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I realize how petty this feeling of being insecure about my looks is when poor people around the world are dealing with terrible health conditions, grief, pain , suffering, and I’m over here worrying about my crooked nose? No that is not the way to live that’s exactly what the devil wants us to think that we aren’t good enough, many people deal with this but I think girls more so. The devil has corrupted the media and the media promotes a certain “ way” we r “ supposed” to look. We have to all be model material according to the media. Beauty is within who cares if your the most gorgeous woman on planet and you have a nasty ugly heart. In the end outside beauty does NOT matter. It’s the inside that counts.

Everyone is beautiful in their own unique way , and I truly believe this. I just want to tell all my brothers and sisters who struggle with these” you’re not good enough” “ you’re not attractive enough “ thoughts, you are not alone but God does not want you thinking these things. Jesus crafted you with his hands! If you are insecure about you talents, don’t be because every true believer has a God given talent, some may find theirs quickly and others it may take a little longer to discover. Just like Indiana Jones trying to find an artifact, it may take time to fine ur artifact( your talent) don’t give up searching for it. Don’t be harsh to yourself. Jesus loves you so you love yourself. I’m praying for you all❤️❤️❤️ May the Lord bless you all.

it is important to remember that we all have our own idea of what is beautiful. One person may think one thing is beautiful while the person standing right next to them thinks the same thing in not at all beautiful. We do not all like the same things. that is why we have so many different things made available to us. We do not all drive the same kind of car or the same color car, we do not live in the same kind of house, we do not like the same kind of work, or food, or you name it. Whatever you have that you think is not beautiful someone else thinks it is the most beautiful they have ever seen. God designed you the way you are and God loves everything about you. Blessings

Oh yes, we can see ourselves and each other in the wrong way: as if we're competing, and we're always alone against each other, not growing and coming together. Then we look at love as a transaction, or as something that we should deserve by obtaining certain abilities, traits or achievements - and we get even more disillusioned.

God's love on the other hand penetrates hearts and makes them grow, is freely given, and once we understand our need for it, we can never get enough of it. Every bit of faith placed in His love brings true joy, and enables us to love each other better, and to accept our (and theirs) weaknesses.

You are very welcome brother and thank you ! Praying for you

Just because there are people suffering more than we are doesn't mean we are not suffering and we each have our own burdens to bear. I try and shut myself off from anything that will not promote Godly thinking. I use to really be into a lot of sports blogs but now I'm not because they promote worldliness and I've found it's helped to keep me focused on Christ and not on the world. I pray the Lord helps to release your from this burden of fretting about your appearance and that you turn your thoughts to God instead.

Wow Thanks so much,I am an insecure person and your post just really spoke to me.
Aw my dear sister, this brings me so much joy to read, Praise Jesus. I know it’s easy to feel insecure but you are a treasure to God, I often remind myself I am a princess because I am a daughter of the King(Jesus Christ) and so are you my beautiful sister❤️
