Here's what Rachel Stephens believes:

STATEMENT OF FAITH

“Jesus Christ is my personal savior and the one true Living God. I am a sinner and God’s grace through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ, not my own good works, is what saves me from spending eternity apart from the Creator and Lord of All.”
– Rachel N. Stephens

The Scriptures
The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, is what we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine (I Thessalonians 2:13, II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:21).

The Godhead
Our God is one but is manifested in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit being co-equal (I John 5:7). God the Father is greater than all, the Source of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 1:14; 14:28; 16:28). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 15:26).

Man – His Fall & Redemption
Man is a created being, made in the likeness and the image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the work of the devil and to give His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (I John 3:8). Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the Law, which is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God (Ephesians 2:8).

Eternal Life & New Birth
Man’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The new birth is necessary to all men, and when fulfilled, it produces eternal life (John 3:3-5, II Corinthians 7:10, I John 5:12).

Water Baptism
Baptism in water by immersion is a direct commandment of our Lord and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matthew 28:19, Acts 8:36-39, Romans 6:4, Colossians 2:12). The following recommendation regarding the water baptismal formula is adopted: “On the confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and by His authority, I baptize you in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.”

Baptism of the Holy Spirit
The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is the acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal savior and the receiving of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the new birth. This experience is accompanied by the evidence of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. As Christians, we are to produce the fruits of the Spirit, as evidence of our faith, which can be produced through the various gifts and talents, including, but not limited to, speaking in tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance (Matthew 3:11, John 14:16-17, Acts 1:8; 2:4; 2:38-39; 19:1-7).

Please note that there are THREE different types of Speaking in Tongues.

Sanctification
The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the doctrine of sanctification as a definite yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation (Hebrews 12:14, I Thessalonians 5:23, II Peter 3:18, I Corinthians 1:30, II Corinthians 3:18, Philippians 3:12-14).

Divine Healing
Healing is for the physical ills of the human body. It is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ and is the privilege of every member of the Church today (Isaiah 53:4-5, Matthew 8:17, Mark 16:18, James 5:14-16, I Peter 2:24).

Resurrection of the just & the Return of our Lord. The angels said, “This same Jesus…shall so come in like manner…” (Acts 1:11). His coming is imminent. When He comes, “… the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air…” (I Thessalonians 4:16-17). Following the tribulation, He shall return to earth as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Then, together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign for a thousand years (Revelation 20:6).

Please note my position on when the Rapture will occur in relation to the tribulation.

Hell & Eternal Retribution
The one who physically dies in his sins without Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the Lake of Fire, and therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The Lake of Fire is literal. The terms “eternal” and “everlasting” used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the Lake of Fire carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the presence of God (Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 19:20).

I’m a baby Christian so I don’t know if I should watch.

Interpreting the scripture or merely repeating it? If you seek answers do you want scripture that answers you? Compare it to this channel which merely animates each chapter and you decide which format is more helpful.

Why you would recommend a hate filled man like pastor Anderson to anyone is beyond me. He is about one step down from Westboro. He hates all Christians that aren't within his exact theological beliefs and slanders them with quite literally lies.

Luke 12:51:
Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:

Jesus came to divide, not unite with the world.

We should try to live at peace and help each other have a strong faith. -Romans 14:21
The you tube bible project serìes is good. It was a good suggestion from the person who recommended it.

I would stay away from most online preachers for the time being. Read prayerfully for yourself.

Write down any questions and ask a more mature Christian who shows the fruit of the Spirit. Remember that people get things wrong but God doesn't. Trust Him above all.

Good night

Check Grace To You. They have lots of sermons online for beginners and John MacArthur is by far the greatest bible teacher of our generation.

It doesn't matter what you say about the pastor, what does God say?

There are 2 types of enemies: Your personal enemies and enemies of God.

We shouldn't be yolked up with the world...we will end up following them.

You think a man who tells his congregation not to pray for someone's salvation, but to pray that someone dies and goes to hell is an ally of Christ?

Did God of the old testament stop being God of the new testament? It's the SAME GOD.

Did you not read what God did to exceedingly evil, wicked and vile people? Did you not read Leviticus?

Did you miss the entire new testament?

Agreed. Why rely on the opinions of others when everything is in the words of Jesus. HIS motive is pure.

"Lets not pray they are saved lets pray they go to hell"

Wow... did someone actually say this? A pastor no less? That's sòooo bad. Run the other way.

I would recommend Robert Breaker who is a Baptist missionary and evangelist to the Spanish and English speaking people. His videos have taught me quite a lot about endtime prophecy if your into that sort of thing but he also is very informative and uses KJV

Hello Bipolargirl!

You are pretty humble by asking for help and to make sure your on the right track. Being humble, much like a child is going to help you with your walk with Jesus more than you know!

Checking out Rachel Stephens and her Youtube channel. At first I was a little concerned, but as I got into it more. I can see what she is doing. Trying to tell parts the scripture in dramatic form. I can't say she is 100% accurate in her interpretations of scripture, but not enough that I be angry if I had a daughter watching her.

Bipolargirl I want to make you aware this your walk with Jesus is a journey. You recognize that you are at the start of that journey. You are going to make mistakes, a LOT of mistakes! That is very much part of the walk! Beautiful thing is that it will all work out to God's glory as he trains you up and build you up! Even when you been at this for 10+ years, you are still making mistakes and learning the truth. Best part is that you will change, the Lord God will make you new and you won't be the same. =)

I also want to make you aware that men and women have struggled for last 2000 with how to interpret and understand the Holy scriptures. Today that are so many theologies or lines of thinking or competing theories. Like Rachel touched on the argument of Old Earth vs Young Earth as an example. Don't get lost with everything that is out there. Start with where you are at and take your time to come to your own conclusions. Read the scriptures yourself and don't be afraid to ask for clarity on difficult parts. There are many with this gift of teaching to help build up the church.

Lastly, I want to encourage you to believe that Christianity has a very rich history and a wonderful heritage! Like with anything in human history, it had very dark moments as well.

I pray this helps you with your walk!

So... regarding the topic... I have watched every single video Rachel Stephens has done on her YouTube Crack Your Bible channel and would highly recommend watching. She hasn't corrupted me yet... she has brought many things to my attention to consider.

You are going to encounter all kinds of beliefs and opinions in the world... why not explore and let your brain practice some discernment.

Then surely heaven is empty, except Christ himself... I hope I can be his +1. Perhaps this is a greater reason to befriend or be-neighbor those who fit this list (maybe they can be his +1 too)
Poor point - as if you did not even look in the Bible to see what it says....

Let me know AFTER you read the Apocalypse (Revelation) who IS IN HEAVEN,
before thinking it is so empty, or that someone has made it or not - the list is simple, and accurate - it is God's Word, remember.

I'm confused what we are talking about. I'm missionally driven in the here and now. Are not all not found in the book of life our mission?
What did Jesus say in Matthew thru John, The Gospels ?

When He Said WHO He Prayed for, and WHO He did NOT pray for ?

Learning what to watch, and who to listen to, entails a lot sometimes....

Adamant With Lisa Bevere - What is truth? Culture is buying the lie that truth is a river, ebbing and flowing with the passage of time. But truth is not a river—it is a rock. And in a raging sea of opinions, this plan will help anchor your soul—giving you a clear sense of direction in a wandering world.

"When we receive God’s love, the most natural and necessary response is for us to give love. We should love fearlessly, triumphantly, and endlessly. The true evidence of someone who knows they are loved is that they love well.

God doesn’t have love; He is love. Love is His very nature. And because God is love, you cannot stop Him from loving you. His love is invincible and immovable, unshaken by your ebbs and flows.

But because God loves everyone, He cannot love everything. Since God is adamant in love, He must also be adamant in hate.

This may seem like a contradiction at first glance, but that is only because our culture has idolized love. We know that God is love, but have we made our idea of love god?

The truth is, God hates what unmakes love. He hates what tears apart those He loves. This is why God must hate what distorts our identity.

Scripture also tells us God hates: everything that compromises justice and truth, when widows and orphans are oppressed, the abuse of the elderly and the neglect of family, what perverts His goodness and taints His gifts, when love gets twisted into selfishness and friends become enemies, what changes His image and distorts ours, when evil is called good and the innocent are killed, and when arrogance and pride degrade us. In short, God hates all that undermines love, for everything that debases love debases us.

We cannot have genuine love if we “love everything.” God is adamant in both love and hate, so we must learn to love what God loves and hate what He hates."

Your responses are puzzling.
I think it would be easier if you were direct in your answers, especially in regards to scripture.
It would help in understanding each other in communication.
Just a thought.

I agree.
When the forum rules change to allow everything God's Word Says as He Says, we all can breathe more easily and talk more freely with understanding and with healing from His Word and in Truth for everyone.
