The preachers are telling us what to do, but how do I do the what to do?

Example: How do I keep Jesus commandments so that the life of Christ is manifest through the power of the Holy Spirit in me? How do I get a pure heart to see God manifest His life through me? How do I deny myself and pick up my cross and follow Jesus?

1. He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and [a]manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21

2. Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. Matthew 5:8

3. And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Luke 9:23

The first thing that came to mind is what Miriam (Mary), the mother of Yeshua (Jesus) told the servants at the wedding, "Do what he says". The written word spells out for us what to do, all we have to do is do it. :)

But the scripture says, "For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor." Galatians 2:18

In other words if I use my flesh (the law) and not the Spirit (grace) to accomplish sanctification I become a transgressor.

He wants to know "how", and what way is right and truly effective and not self-deceiving, ect... As many of us do...

God Bless!

Walk in the Spirit and you will not fulfill or give into or cater to, the lusts and unholy desires of the flesh...

But "what" is that...? (walking in the Spirit) and How do we know we are doing it or obeying this (or that)...? And how do or can we do this all without walking in (or being or acting in or out of) the flesh ever again or at all sometimes, and sin...?

God Bless!

When you were saved your spirit was born again. The new spirit you received has the divine nature. It is not divine, but it has the same nature as God. If you follow the inclinations of your reborn spirit, you will never sin.
If you walk in the flesh, that is when the trouble comes.
So the key is renewing your mind into the image of your reborn spirit. Once they match up, then you will know His will and will know how to do it. This takes time. It will not happen overnight. So do not be discouraged or let the devil bring you under condemnation. You start as a baby and you need to grow. Get in a church and under teachers that emphasize spiritual growth and how to become like Jesus. Confess sins and know that He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. Much of this is leaning on His faithfulness, not yours.
You can do it. I have been saved for 48 years and He is still working on me!

Have you ever felt love, compassion, the assurance of faith, the comfort of peace, the flow of joy?
These things issue from your reborn spirit. Doing the right thing will result in your spirit responding with joy, peace, as well as other emanations from your spirit. People want to make this more complicated than it actually is. It is the still and quiet spirit.
To walk in the spirit simply means to follow the inclinations of your spirit. Do you feel a twinge of conscience when you do something wrong? That is your spirit speaking to you. This is not you but Christ that lives in you. You have a spirit that is from God and a flesh. In the middle is your soul, the part of you that decides what to do. It is "you." There is a struggle to walk in the spirit or walk in the flesh. You choose. That inclination to do what is right is in there. Doing so is walking in the spirit.

How do we receive grace from God to accomplish this so I will not make Jesus Christ of no effect to me? (Galatians 5:4)
Believe what He says.

... how do I keep Jesus commandments so that the life of Christ is manifest through the power of the Holy Spirit in me? ..

It seems simple to me. 1 Cor. 14 says:

29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others weigh what is said.

So if we judge the prophets, then we MOST CERTAINLY must judge the apostles (like Paul to Peter), the evangelist, the pastors, and the teachers. -- We were not made to sit under a MAN. We were designed to sit under GOD. So you MUST judge what you're being told against what you perceive is the right thing. -- Just DO THE RIGHT THING.

Easy peasey,

Out of 603,550 men who were readied for war that came out of Egypt under the power of God (Numbers 1:44-46), only two took their inheritance; Joshua (a type of Christ) and Caleb (a type of the body of Christ) (Matthew 7:14). There is only one message that changes the body of Christ into the image of Christ, and that is Jesus Christ and Him Crucified.

Jesus Christ and Him Crucified alone is the only answer for mankind...not Christian disciplines.

I started this form to teach how to live for God. The only way the Believer can walk in the Spirit is placing their Faith exclusively in Christ (who He is) and the Cross of Calvary where the victory was won (what He has done), i.e., The Finished Work, i.e., The Blood of Jesus (Romans 8:2).

The Believer must stay in His death, burial, and resurrection and are, therefore, victorious (It is Jesus Christ life that brings victory - not ours). That is the only way they (we) are triumphant in Christ (II Cor. 2:14). And that is the only way He can work in them (us) both to will (change their desires), and to do (give them the power of the Holy Spirit) (Phil. 2:13)

God only awards imputed righteousness by maintaining Faith exclusively in Christ and His Finished Work (Romans 4:5). God only recognize the blood of Jesus on the door post of our hearts. That Believer is now under the strongest law in the universe, " The Law Of The Spirit Of Life In Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2)." This law is stronger than "The Law Of Sin And Death (Romans 8:1-2)." So when you do miss the mark and sin, you still have imputed righteousness. Which means: There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Sin has no dominion over you. (The Believer must confess their sins 1 John 1:9)

The Holy Spirit, He Works strictly within the parameters of the "Finished Work" i.e., "the Cross of Christ", which demands that our Faith be exclusively in the Cross of Christ. The reason is simple, that's were the price was paid, and the victory was forever won (Romans 6:1-14; 1 Cor. 2:2; Gal. 5; Gal. 6:14; Eph. 2:13-18; Col. 2:14-15).

Jesus Christ is the solution for mankind - there is no other! It takes the Power of God to set the captive free. The Believer Faith must be placed and maintained exclusively in Christ and the Cross to enter into the Lord's rest. Many bypass the Cross for their solutions and Grace is cancelled. These problems we face are too severe to be talked out of anybody. Bondage can be broken only by the Power of God. This is why Jesus had to come from Heaven and die on the Cross in order that the power of sin may be broken. Sin has a power behind it and his name is Satan. If we don't enter into the Lord's rest we die in the wilderness.

The question is, "How much value do we place on the Offering of Christ?" Do we feel that the Cross is the answer to every question - the solution to every problem, issue, and concern - the strength for every weakness - the life for every death - the salvation for every sin - and the health for every sickness, disease, and infirmity? How you as a Believer look at the Cross, is how you value the Cross. This is very, very serious, so we should think about it very carefully.

We enter into sanctification by placing and maintaining our Faith exclusively in Christ and the Cross, i.e., The Finished Work, i.e., The Blood of Jesus (Romans 8:2). The Holy Spirit only works exclusively between Jesus Christ and the Cross of Calvary where the victory was won. This is the only way the Believer receives Grace. Anything and everything outside of Christ and Him Crucified is the law of sin and death. This is why Paul said, "We preach Christ Crucified." Why would he say that? Because that is the only answer and solution for sin.

There are two kinds of peace with God the Father:

1. Justifying Peace - This is Peace with God, a legal standing (Romans 5:1, 8:7; Ephesians 2:14-15).

2. Sanctifying Peace - This is the Peace of God in the heart (Romans 8:6, 14:19, 15:13; Galatians 1:3; 1 Thessalonians 5:23).

The first is the result of a legal standing. The second is the result of the Work of the Holy Spirit. The first is static, never fluctuates, the second changes almost from hour to hour. The first, every Christian has, the second, every Christian may have.

Sanctifying peace allows the Holy Spirit to deliver the Believer into the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ, so that the life of Christ is manifested and lived through the Believer by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is a living sacrifice that is pleasing and acceptable to God (Matthew 5:8; John 14:21; Romans 8:2, 13; 2 Corinthians 4:11; Galatians 2:20-21).

Very - Very Important: If any Believer try's to do what the scripture says do in their own will-power, strength, and ability, the sin nature that was made dormant (not eliminated) when you where born-again, will be activated (the works of the flesh will manifest - Galatians 5:19-21). The Law says do - Grace says done. This is why I stated only the Holy Spirit can do what the scriptures ask of us and keep all commandments through Faith in Christ and the Cross of Calvary where the victory was won.

Many Believers believe they can do what the scriptures ask of us in our own strength, ability, and will-power. This is reverting back to the “LAW.”

“18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed (revert back to the Law), I make myself a transgressor. (To revert to any type of Law is a departure from God’s Prescribed Order of Victory [the Cross], and is sin).” Galatians 2:18

3. And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me. Luke 9:23

Ask your Father how.

If you have faith that your Father will hear you, and will answer you in due time, then you should ask Him in humility. He is your Father.

If you want to know how to do it, then ask Him that as well. Then, ask Him for the wisdom to recognize His teaching (et cetera: anything you believe you need with your relationship with our Father).

It is important that you ask Him first, instead of asking any of us, how to follow His Law, and His statutes.

You are unable to do nothing without Christ! No Believer can deny themselves or keep any commandments unless the Holy Spirit does it for them. Satan's is stronger than any Believers will power.

Every Christian trusts the Lord and believes Him in some capacity. The trouble is, most do not trust Him or believe Him correctly.

You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32

WHAT IS THE TRUTH?

The Truth that the Believer must have, is that the Cross and the Resurrection, which speak of the Finished Work of Christ, pertains not only to our initial Salvation experience, but as well to our everyday Victory over the world, the flesh, and the Devil. The Believer must understand the Truth that he was in Christ when Christ died on the Cross, was in Christ when He was buried, was in Christ when he was raised from the dead, and continues to be in Christ as He is now exalted at the Right Hand of the Father (Romans 6:3-5; Ephesians 2:6). Consequently, if Christ defeated Satan, that means the Christian has defeated Satan. If Christ atoned for all sin, then no sin can attach itself to the Believer, that is, if the Believer keeps trusting Christ. If Christ is a Law-keeper, than the Believer is a Law-keeper. If Christ is victorious, then the Believer is victorious.

The Believer must understand this, trust in this, believe this, and act upon it, even on a daily basis. This is what Jesus meant by us taking up the cross daily and following Him (Luke 9:23).

As far as trying to do something as it concerns taking up the cross daily, we are to do nothing. In fact, it was already done at Calvary some two thousand years ago. On a daily basis, we should reinforce our Faith in Christ and what He has done for us at the Cross (Rom. 6:3-5; 8:2, Gal. 2:20-21, Col. 2:10-15). This is the "Truth" which we must learn, act upon, and continue to act upon, which guarantees the help of the Holy Spirit.
