Trump reverses, says Dems to blame for shutdown
Trump in a televised Oval Office meeting last week with Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi(D-Calif.) said that he would own any shutdown over border security.

“I am proud to shut down the government for border security,” Trump told the Democratic leaders. “I will take the mantle. I will shut it down, I’m not going to blame you for it.”

The president is now attempting to shift blame to Democrats less than 24 hours before parts of the government would shutdown at midnight Friday.

What do they say about voting for a serial adulterer, who brags about getting away with sexual assault?

And is in his third marriage to his former mistress, who had an affair with a inappropriate content star and then paid her off to silence her, who derides and insults people he doesn't like, and who uses profanity.

Well the video seemed to put the kibosh on voting for either candidate running in 2016 1) candidate because they did bad things and 2) because he doesn't think Christians should vote for women. Ever.
He personally is against voting for any law that increases taxes. Of course I don't believe his church actually pays any taxes anyway. So...:sorry:
He's also not a fan of the "Lesser of two evils" school and he calls out the Republican Party specifically on that.
tulc(doesn't agree with about 90% of what the video says but suspects there's something to disagree with by people from every side of american politics) ;)

With Republicans in control of both houses, this is not plausible.

Yes, if Trump could even get his own party in line, he'd have what he wants. But after the mid-term elections, they aren't too willing to do what Trump wants.

First Trump was wrong in saying he would accept full responsibility and it was not mature for him to not own what he did say. But to be honest liberals own the shutdown. The people who got Trump in to office wanted the wall. So the fact Trump is fighting for the wall which the people want. It seems the liberals who are in office are the ones who are owning this as Trump is only fighting to fulfill his promises to the people. Most Americans agree that we need secure borders and better security to keep out illegals.

Roughly 80% of all voters say U.S. needs secure borders, including 68% of Democrats: Harvard poll

Secondly to show the hypocritical stance that is happening in this country in 2006 Democrats voted for a fence that included Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Hillary Clinton. Today since it's Trump talking about better security they are making a big deal at something that previously they would of voted for.

In 2006, These Democrats Still in Office Voted to Build a Wall

Thirdly let's remember a couple good quotes from former Democrats presidents that today sound a lot like Trump today:

"All Americans, not only in the States most heavily affected but in every place in this country, are rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country.

The jobs they hold might otherwise be held by citizens or legal immigrants. The public service they use impose burdens on our taxpayers.

That's why our administration has moved aggressively to secure our borders more by hiring a record number of new border guards, by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before, by cracking down on illegal hiring, by barring welfare benefits to illegal aliens." -Bill Clinton

"Real reform means strong border security, and we can build on the progress my administration has already made -- putting more boots on the Southern border than at any time in our history and reducing illegal crossings to their lowest levels in 40 years.

Real reform means establishing a responsible pathway to earned citizenship -- a path that includes passing a background check, paying taxes and a meaningful penalty, learning English, and going to the back of the line behind the folks trying to come here legally." - Obama

A republican Congress won't vote for the wall. The American people don't want the wall. Trump says he'll shut down the government until we give him his wall. It's his shutdown, as he admitted.

The people who got Trump in to office wanted the wall.

A minority of Americans. The minority doesn't always get their way. Sorry about that.

So the fact Trump is fighting for the wall which the people want.

The American people don't want the wall. That's why even a republican Congress won't give it to him.

Americans Oppose Border Walls, Favor Dealing With DACA
WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The majority of Americans (57%) oppose expanding the construction of walls along the nation's Southern border

Americans Oppose Border Walls, Favor Dealing With DACA

It seems the liberals who are in office are the ones who are owning this

The republicans have Congress and the WH, and they still can't get it done. So yes, they own this whole mess.

Most Americans agree that we need secure borders and better security to keep out illegals.

Yep. But they don't want vanity wall, which won't do it for them.

Agreed.
But to be honest liberals own the shutdown.
Incorrect. There was an agreement between the parties until Fox News pundits screamed at Trump for it and he did an about face and refused anything less than 5 billion. Trump and conservatives own the shut down

Not "the people" but the minority which voted for him. The majority of Americans don't want the wall, so conservatives are rejecting the will of the people in favor of the few.
Most Americans agree that we need secure borders and better security to keep out illegals.
Most Americans want secure borders but they don't want the wall.

There is nothing hypocritical about this. We have the fence which Dems helped secure. They never voted for a wall across the entire border.
Trump promised his voters a big beautiful wall which Mexico would pay for. He lied.
