The difference is that locks on the doors are comparatively cheap compared to the worth of the things inside of the house.

and other local news outlets. The individual in question is a real person, and his credentials are verified as that real person. Brian Kolfage is directly linked to this effort, and trending in the view of social media. He could not possibly pull off a scam without immediate repercussions.

I am of the mindset that it wouldn't. Personal agendas and opinions would be further exacerbated in my point of view. Now taxpayers would have to convince fellow taxpayers the necessity of paying a tax and so on.

For the most part, we don't have a lot of ways to hold politicians accountable for how they spend our tax money, so this would give the decision making and the power back to the people where it should be. So I don't see having more say in how our taxes are spent and needing to convince other taxpayers to support certain causes as being a bad thing.
