Hello Family of God,
I'm still quite new here; so I do apologize if this topic is in the wrong area.
As I was gathering information regarding False Prophets, False Teachers, and False Apostles . . . I came across an UNPRECEDENTED amount of False Prophets. Such as never occured in this manner. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands of false prophets today across the globe. Is it possible for a "false prophet" to accurately "predict" upcoming events in the future? Yes! Demons are disembodied spirits that can travel at lightning speed, and are able to collect enough data from the minds of unbelievers, and even in their homes. These evil spirits at times can give somewhat accurate details of what is to come ahead. Keep in mind that although these are "FALSE" prophets; their message is still considered FALSE even if they were to accurately foretell a future event. There was a damsel (or "a slave girl") in the book of Acts who had been given this ability. Being poor and indigent, she turned to the power of "sorcery" by "selling out" to Satan in exchange for her to be granted the power of divination so she can make a profit for her masters and for herself. You would be surprised at how many people in "Hellywood" have done just that in exchange for fortune and fame.
"And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination (Lit., Grk. "pneuma python"; i.e., "a python spirit") met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants (Grk. "doulos"; lit., "slaves") of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and [said to the spirit], I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. (Acts 16:16-18)"
Paul did not *rebuke* the damsel; he had rebuked *the spirit* (i.e., "said TO the spirit") which took possession of that slave (i.e., "a slave to Satan") girl. Also notice how this slave girl KNEW who the *Apostles* were, and even KNEW the *Message of the Gospel*. This is why there are MANY "false teachers" in the pulpit who preach and teach false doctrines; but they are NOT Christians at all . . . rather, they are demon-possessed men and women who know how to "twist and distort" Scripture in their attempt to deceive simple minded Christians (cf. 2 Cor. 11:13-15). These demon-possessed preachers and teachers BELONG to the Satan (e.g., v. 15 -- "his ministers"; *POSSESSIVE* pronoun). Some of these false prophets can be more deceiving than others based on how much they were willing to sacrifice to "the god of this world". As cited below: false prophets can at times "rightly" foretell an upcoming event so as to deceive others that they are indeed "true" prophets. However, these false prophets will sway MANY into following "other gods" -- especially if one is not *grounded* in the knowledge of Scripture. Many professing "Christians" are often deceived by such agents of deception because they have not taken the time to *study* it out, and to *test* the spirits to SEE if their "message" is TRULY from God (1 Jn. 4:1-6).
"If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or wonder, And the sign or the wonder [come to pass], whereof he spake unto thee, saying, [Let us go after other gods], which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. (Deuteronomy 13:1-3)"
This false prophet in the video clip is an OBVIOUS false prophet. His motive is to deceive *simple minded* "Christians" into handing over their money to him. This man is fleecing the flock for personal financial gain and filthy lucre. This is just one example out of hundreds or thousands of them.
"For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. (Matthew 24:24-25)"
What was the FIRST thing Jesus had said when His disciples asked what signs should they take notice of prior to His return?
It is written:
"And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, TAKE HEED THAT NO MAN DECEIVE YOU. (Matthew 24:3-4)"
"And MANY false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive MANY. (Matthew 24:11)"
In Closing:
As I mentioned elsewhere in other threads regarding this topic; there has been an *unprecedented surge* of "false prophets" in "Christiandumb" today. This is unlike any other time in History; beginning with the Old Testament; the Intertestamental Period, and to the end of the New Testament. Anyone who can *adeptly* DISCERN the *signs of the times* would be *aware* that in Today's Church Age, this is a *unique* SIGN than any other time in History.
"Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 24:42-51)"
God Bless!
