Our “bipartisan” Congressional orientation is cohosted by a corporate lobbyist group. Other members have quietly expressed to me their concern that this wasn’t told to us in advance. Lobbyists are here. Goldman Sachs is here. Where‘s labor? Activists?Frontline community leaders?
Tired of that Trump Train looking too much like the typical corporatist GOP? No?

I believe she is talking more about her own party not the GOP there. The fact that she was previously unaware of how the swamp works is not surprising. She seems to be unaware how much of anything actually works.

Sounds a little familiar... almost like there's a sitting president who gives lip-service to the concerns of the proles but both doesn't care or know how any of it works.

At least she's pointing out the swamp, calling out the swamp, and didn't sink in and hire it.

If you look at the world and think everybody else is the problem, you are probably the problem.

Don't you just love that kind of compassionate Christian witness? Doesn't it make you feel all warm and cozy inside? It causes me to want to become a Christian just like that. After all, that's how Jesus is described as being in the Bible, isn't it? [sarcasm] Did Jesus say love your neighbor as yourself or was it run your neighbor out of your country because their skin color is different than yours?

I have a feeling Republicans owners are secretly fine with illegals , when it helps their profits. I Also believe Republicans secretly fine with a lot of thing democrats try to keep legal.Since it come in handy for them. When they need such services. That they fight against.

I'm sure Republicans are just fine with it when it comes to making themselves money. If they were really serious about stopping the influx of undocumented immigrants, they would go after and punish the businesses who hire the undocumented immigrants. You know, even Trump is perfectly fine with hiring undocumented immigrants, even though he now rants and pretends he's upset about them.

Ted Cruz's wife worked/works for Goldman Sachs. You can't fool us with this nonsense....

2018 Election Cycle the number one recipient of their contributions was......
National Republican Congressional Cmte $314,700 $284,700 $30,000

This is the way it looked in 2016...
DNC Services Corp $675,438 $675,438 $0
Clinton, Hillary $388,426 $388,426 $0

Republican National Cmte $380,345 $380,345 $0

Goldman Sachs: Summary | OpenSecrets

Its pretty obvious that they give to whomever they think will be beneficial to their business, at a particular time.

Kind of a grudge-filled fantasy you have there, isn't it?

And why on earth for one second would cutting off people from pursuing a higher education via college be a good thing? Not talking about some kind of reformation on student loans, but cutting off all funding to colleges? I assume that means you want them to pretty much not exist anymore so .... wondering how that could ever be a good thing.
Dumbing down the voters gives more power to those in power.

Those Polish guys saved him and his dad a lot of money.

Oh, I bet He got a laugh out of it. He invented humor, you know?

I guess some people must be bored and have nothing better to do than insult other people on the internet while they cowardly hide behind their computer screen in anonymity. That's a sad life.

You can't imagine how happy that fact makes me.

I think we've given this attention-seeking person enough attention. Perhaps we should ignore them now and let them go find someone else on this site to insult and be extremely rude to.

Luckily the Constitution has provisions for dealing with such tyrannical behavior on the part of the Executive.

Yeah, just imagine all the bloodshed and utter chaos we're avoiding by not allowing some religious fanatics try to take over the federal government in an effort to enforce their religious rule.

Goldman Sachs, in particular, is a major contributor to the Democrats, not the GOP.

Goldman Sachs had a policy of not allowing partners to donate to the Trump campaign so they could avoid the appearance of "pay for play".
Goldman Sachs Just Enacted a Rule that Will Ban Senior Employees from Donating to Trump

On the Congressional side for 2018, they donated $1.7 mil to the Democrats, and $1.3 mil to the Republicans. That's hardly a major/not major difference. Also when you just look at the House, they donated more to Republicans.
Goldman Sachs: Recipients | OpenSecrets
Democrats (candidates) 129 (per candidate) $4,858 (total) $626,786
Republicans (candidates) 125 (per candidate) $6,658 (total) $832,302
