To me the most convincing proofs are when the apostles reference Old Testament verses about God and apply them to Jesus. But for a more comprehensive study on the matter see

Jesus' Deity
I love Him so much. He has to be God to be Lord and Savior. :D

I am so excited to meet Yeshua.

Col 1:13-17;
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.

And now, Gen 1:1;

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Consider/respond to the following scriptures from the book of Matthew-only.

Chapter 3:17 Is Jesus a ventriloquist?
Chapter 4:3, 4, 6, 7, 10 Explain how the devil-Satan understood the distinction between Jesus and the father
Chapter 5:16, 45, 48 Why is “Father” being used and not himself?
Chapter 6:1, 6, 8, 9, 14, 26, 32 Again, why is “Father” being used and not himself?
Chapter 7:11, 21 Again, why did Jesus say “my Father” and not himself.
Chapter 8:29 How is it that the demons referred to Jesus as the “son of God”?
Chapter 10:32, 33, 40 Do sinners need to confess to Jesus twice; and, did Jesus send himself forth?
Chapter 11:25-27 Is Jesus praying to himself?
Chapter 12:50 Again why do the scriptures say “my Father” instead of “me”-referring to Jesus himself?
Chapter 14:33 How is it the those in the “boat” understood the distinction between Jesus and his father.
Chapter 15:13 Did Jesus do the “planting” and “uprooting”?
Chapter 16:17, 27 How can Jesus be himself and then refer to another entity?
Chapter 17:5 Again, is Jesus a ventriloquist?
Chapter 18:10, 14, 19, 35 If Jesus is on earth, then who is the “Father” that he is referring to?
Chapter 20:23 Jesus cannot “give,” and who is the “Father”?
Chapter 23:9, 10, 39 Jesus infers that he is not the heavenly one. This denotes two entities.
Chapter 24:36 Is not Jesus contradicting himself here?
Chapter 25:34 How Can Jesus be his own father?
Chapter 26:29, 39, 42, 53, 63, 64 How can Jesus be a son/father to himself?
Chapter 27:54 How can Jesus be “God” and a “son” of himself?
Chapter 28:18 Who gave such authority?

What if denying Jesus includes calling Him something He is not,
contrary to all Scripture,
like saying instead of He and the Father are echad (one) as Scripture says,
saying wrongly that Jesus is the Father Yahweh ?

Here is another one that I just discovered showing that the Messiah is indeed YHWH of the Old Testament.

Hosea 12:3-6 In the womb he took his brother by the heel,
and in his manhood he strove with God. He strove with the angel & prevailed; he wept & sought His favor. HE MET GOD AT BETHEL & there God spoke with us— YHWH, the God of hosts,
YHWH is His memorial name. "So you, by the help of your God, return, hold fast to love & justice & wait continually for your God.”

What happened when Jacob met God at Bethel?

Genesis 28:12,13 Jacob had a dream about a ladder that rested on the earth with its top reaching up to heaven, & God’s angels were going up & down the ladder. And there at the top YHWH was standing & saying, “I am YHWH, the God of your father Abraham & the God of Isaac. Look, I am with you & I will watch over you wherever you go & I will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” When Jacob woke up, he thought, “Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was unaware of it.” And he was afraid & said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven!” ...And he called that place Bethel.

Genesis 35:3 Then let us arise and go to Bethel. I will build an altar there to the God who answered me in my day of distress. He has been with me wherever I have gone."

Genesis 48:3,4,15,16 Jacob said to Joseph, “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz (Jacob renamed it Bethel) in the land of Canaan & there He blessed me & told me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful & multiply you; I will make you a multitude of peoples & will give this land to your descendants after you as an everlasting possession.’

He blessed Joseph, and said, "The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has been my shepherd all my life to this day, the Angel who has redeemed me from all harm--may He bless these boys.

Now what did Jesus claim about Himself?

John 1:45-51
Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the One Moses wrote about in the Law, the One the prophets foretold—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” Nathanael asked.

“Come and see,” said Philip. When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, He said of him, “Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is no deceit.” "How do You know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus replied, “Before Philip called you, I saw you under the fig tree.”

49“Rabbi,” Nathanael answered, “You are the Son of God! You are the King of Israel!”

50Jesus said to him, “Do you believe just because I told you I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than these.” 51Then He declared, “Truly, truly, I tell you, you will see heaven open & the angels of God ascending & descending on the Son of Man.”

Revelation 1:8 New International Version (NIV)
8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”

Jesus says he is the Almighty in Rev 1:8

Ask JW's "who is to come"? It is clearly Jesus.

Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
Rev 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
Rev 1:9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Rev 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
