Oh, this should be good...
Nah, I'm only here to watch the fur fly.Do you have an opinion on which of the two mainstream American parties is more consistent with scriptural teaching?
Neither.
What is your opinion on the subject? Make sure to explain your views.
You say 'neither'. I and most others here agree.Neither, both main parties are so corrupted by the influence of money and power, I think they are beyond correction. Neither party is inherently religious in nature or exclusive to a religion, although evangelicals historically tend to be conservative. Do their allegiances have more to do with believing in the American ideal of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? I don't know. I do know the liberalism of our day is not the liberalism of the past, and I do not agree with the direction I see the leaders of the movement heading towards, for economic reasons mostly.
You say 'neither'. I and most others here agree.
So, now that we have a winner, what are we all going to do about it?

Libertarian.
The Libertarian Party is pro-abortion. Their views are therefore inconsistent with scriptural teaching.
Proverbs 139:13, “For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.”
Jeremiah 1:5, “Before you were in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as the prophet of nations.”
Job 31:15, “Did not he who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same one form us both within our mothers?”
Psalm 22:10, “From birth I was cast on you; from my mother’s womb you have been my God.”
The libertarian party (in large part) is not into forcing people into living the way they decide is right. I think that's much like God. He never forced me to anything.
Do I think abortion is wrong? Yes, that is why I don't engage in the practice. It's murder. There are many things I dont do because my religion tells me its wrong to do.
Does my religion give me the right to demand others, unsaved and unwilling, live according to the edicts of my religion?
Absolutely not.
Jesus would vote Republican if he were a US citizen.
The GOP is the pro-life party.
What kind of savior would Christ be if he were pro-abortion?
Unfortunately, he'd be prevented from entering the country, having lived in a nation on Trump's ban list.
They controlled Congress and the White House. Tell me about how they banned abortion. The fact is, Democrats usually favor abortion. Republican lie about it.
A Republican one, apparently.
