But it clearly says we are lower than the angels---that is a different "kind" from us. Some have 2 wings, some have 4 wings, and others 6.
It seems clear that there are some angels with wings. Have to see about that when we get to heaven. Some may have wings, some may not.

If you think you are going to heaven with a lack of obedience, think again. Obedience is the centerpiece of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Every page of the bible teaches us to be obedient. If you will not be obedient to what Jesus wants you to do, you will not be with him for EL.

Angels with wings were depicted as a way to provide mobility. There are angels with wings. But so far, the angels sent to men from God have not had wings. We know that because the men that saw them have not mentioned wings.

It is still taught that in order to become a God, you need an exalted body of flesh and bone and spirit.

The Holy Spirit will in time have a body of flesh and bone and spirit just like the other 2 members of the Godhead.

No one can become a God.

Isaiah 43
10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he:before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

So, IYO, the Holy Spirit is not God.

As for obedience, part of that is not contradicting the word of God.

"Nature" encompasses all of what you are.

The "nature" of God, is what we think God is made up of. You think His "nature" is divine and that His form is spirit.

I think His "nature" is divine, and that His form is resurrected flesh and bone and spirit like unto a man.

You and your friend have the same "nature" too. You are both mortal, but have a spark of divinity in you, and your forms are flesh and blood and bone and spirit.

So you are making my case.

Nature is not substance--nature is personality, character. I do not have the same nature as my friend, She is very emotional, highly changeable. God is Divine in nature and substance. God word says very clearly He is not a man.
Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

The scriptures do not say that angels are made in the image of God. But it does say that we mortals are made in the image and likenss of God. Big difference. Did you think the Genesis 5 scripture was interesting as the verbiage was the same as Genesis 1:26, so that God made Adam in His image and likeness, just as Adam made Seth in his image and likenss. At least that should give you pause to consider what I am saying.

Since we know what Adam and Seth looked like, and what they are made of, we should now know what God and Adam look like, and what they are made of too. Pause and take some time to think and pray about this.

Again you bring up scriptures that tell us that Jesus was MADE...... Is Jesus a creature too?

I suggest you take some time and think about this-

Num 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Jesus is the Son of God the Father-He is no creature---creatures are made--He always was. He became a man through the power of the Holy Spirit. Even is Seth looked li9ke Adam, his DNA was different.

The bible says we can become a God.
2 Peter 1:4 King James Version (KJV)
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

If by the promises of God, we can be partakers of the divine nature, having become as perfect as God is, (Matthew 5:48) we are gods also. Do you see that resurrectionr + perfection + having the divine nature that God has + sitting in His throne = godhood. Many other scriptures testifies to this reality.

If you say we cannot have the same divine nature as God has, then you will have to redifine divine nature. Besides, whoever God decides can be divine, He gets to have His way, and He is fully capable of giving anyone His divine nature. Or is He?

But the scriptures that you quoted used the word, "made"? What do you say about the word "made" in these scriptures? Are they wrong?

John 20:17 says that Jesus has a God, and a Father. How can that be?

God is not like mortal man. He was a mortal man, but was resurrected and now has a perfect body of flesh and bone and spirit (no blood). Thats the only way it can be in order to reconcile all the scriptues with the nature of God. I mean all of the scriptures, not just a few hand selected Trinity scirptures that fit the narative. All of the scriptures.

That is what I quoted. Are talking about another scripture? The bible says Jesus was made lower than the angels---He was made in Mary's womb--or rather--he was remade by the Holy Spirit. Well, lf course Jesus has a Father---always has--His Father is God the Father. They were both from everlasting to everlasting. How can that be?---That's why He is God and we are not!
Got to go to dr--later.

God doesn't create Gods. Something that has been created is not going to become a God. We never become God's essence. God never decides anyone can be God.

We don't need to keep posting Isaiah 43:10!

Don't expect rational answers. They teach that those who become equal to God will still be subordinate to him. Their Jesus is subordinate to the Father and their Holy Ghost is subordinate to their Jesus.

Doctrine and Covenants 88
106 And again, another angel shall sound his trump, which is the seventh angel, saying: It is finished; it is finished! The Lamb of God hath overcome and trodden the wine-press alone, even the wine-press of the fierceness of the wrath of Almighty God.

107 And then shall the angels be crowned with the glory of his might, and the saints shall be filled with his glory, and receive their inheritance and be made equal with him.

The question was not if God would create God's, the question was can He create Gods.

God's can't be created--they are God's because they are not created by anything or anyone.

Yes, always and forever. He is my God, He is Jesus's God (John 20:17) for ever and ever and ever.

My followup question being that since you believe you will be forever inferior to Heavenly Father, ought not we take that into consideration when we interpret Peter when he refers to us being "partakers of the divine nature."?

How then, if we remain inferior to Heavenly Father, do we become gods equal to him as Mormon teaching would seem to indicate? Jane quoted a particular portion of Doctrine and Covenants that seems relevant here and there's other early Mormon literature that speaks of such beliefs. One example is the King Follet discourse which indicates Heavenly Father was once a man like we were. There then would be no reason to assume we couldn't become exactly like Heavenly Father. Is it merely a matter of hierarchy, with our natures being essentially the same? How does that actually cohere with God's statement that there has never been a God before him and can never be one after him? Is God simply being technically correct in the Old Testament, meanwhile knowing his male children can essentially attain to his level?

The Christian teaching regarding these verses is that whatever we have is from God's own substance. That is we in of ourselves are not becoming gods by our own nature but by dependance solely on God. We literally partake in God himself, in other words Theosis. This retains God's uniqueness as explicated in the Old Testament and explains what Peter means by us becoming partakers of the divine.

We cannot partake in Heavenly Father's own nature in Mormonism but our nature is the same as his (we are the same species). Our nature has evolved or advanced to a certain degree to become on par with Heavenly Father's. I don't think Mormons can avoid the charge of believing they themselves (at least the men) will be on the same level as Heavenly Father even if technically they remain subordinate. This would then be out of respect and not out of necessity since at such a point of divination the newly divinised Mormon man is essentially independent of needing Heavenly Father.

Mormons introduce too many problems with their concept of divinisation.
