Is it on your list? A prayer list is an important part of effective prayer strategy.

I am requesting of Praying Christians everywhere to pray like you have never prayed before for your nation.

I am praying that the Lord will continue to raise up a multitude of praying Christians to intercede for the nations.

Continue to stand in the gap for your country, continue to intercede for your nation's elections, not only believing that the Lord can heal your nation, but that He will continue to do so--if we do our duty in interceding for our communities, nations and leaders.

Pray Christians, like you never have before. Pray for your nation's sake, pray for this 2018 US election cycle (ballots are already being cast in many states), pray for your children's sake.

We must remember to pray for the members of this website as well.

Mat 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

Mat 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

“Ye are the salt of the earth...” (Mat 5:13)

Salt certainly preserves.
Salt certainly make something more desirable.
Salt certainly is a vital nutrient and thus nourishes.
Salt certainly affects the entirety of that to which it is applied.

Christians have been charged with not only representing the Truth, but also to affect the whole earth. Salt affects the entirety of that to which it is applied.

Keep your staffs of intercession held aloft, children of God. Just as Moses received strength to hold his staff up until victory was accomplished, likewise Christ will keep your staff of intercession held high.

Victory, victory, victory in Jesus' name!!

Exo 17:10 So Joshua did as Moses had said to him, and fought with Amalek: and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill.
Exo 17:11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.
Exo 17:12 But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.
Exo 17:13 And Joshua discomfited Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

God bless and Amen!

I pray for our leaders each night. It is important, however, that we do more than pray. Which I have as I have already casts my ballot.

Here is some good verses that bear on the subject of the Saints praying for the nations. But before those, I have included a reference to the prayers of the Jerusalem Chruch that resulted in a miraculous deliverance of Peter from prison. That passage demonstrates just how effective targeted and persistent prayer can be.

Bible Cross References

Acts 12:1-17 King James Version (KJV)

5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
Act 12:11 And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

1Ti 2:1 I EXHORT therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1Ti 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

2Ch 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Genesis 18:23-32 King James Version (KJV)

23 And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?

24 Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?

25 That be far from thee to do after this manner, to slay the righteous with the wicked: and that the righteous should be as the wicked, that be far from thee: Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?

26 And the Lord said, If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.

27 And Abraham answered and said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord, which am but dust and ashes:

28 Peradventure there shall lack five of the fifty righteous: wilt thou destroy all the city for lack of five? And he said, If I find there forty and five, I will not destroy it.

29 And he spake unto him yet again, and said, Peradventure there shall be forty found there. And he said, I will not do it for forty's sake.

30 And he said unto him, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Peradventure there shall thirty be found there. And he said, I will not do it, if I find thirty there.

31 And he said, Behold now, I have taken upon me to speak unto the Lord: Peradventure there shall be twenty found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for twenty's sake.

32 And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.

All that you say is true. Prayer is essential, bu not enough. The Father gives us the formula for a healed nation: 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways then will I hear from Heaven and forgive their lands."

This nation is not repentant. To the contrary. I pray for repentance for this nation.

This nation is not repentant. To the contrary. I pray for repentance for this nation.
You say that you are praying for repentance and then say the prayer is not enough? Is it not enough to bring true repentance? Yes of course, and you also believe that apparently. The preaching of the Word and prayer effectively precede repentance in terms of our work as co-laborers with Christ in sowing and harvesting souls. So the OP is emphasizing prayer. Prayer has historically preceded great revivals and awakenings in Europe and America. They are the conditionals. We can in fact pray for repentance and that will come and is occurring.
It should also be noted that even if there is not true conversions in segments of society, the prayers of the saints will still have a positive impact on that society. For example, the godless men that were saved as a result of the Apostle Paul interceding on their behalf when they were in jeopardy in that ship as he was being transported. Positive Christian influence has a positive impact on the godless regardless of their lost condition. So the OP considers this and encourages prayer for the peace and stability of the US So that we can have and maintain a platform from which to preach and teach the Gospel. Of course we are also praying for true spiritual healing and that of course requires repentance.

So two things there, praying for true conversions, but also for the well being for our nation as a whole until the Rapture. God can and does prevent calamities even though the majority of a segment of society might be godless. But of course God can and has also declared that certain societies have crossed a line so that no intercession will save them from certain judgment. But God has made no such declaration concerning the US. Just the opposite in fact.

I believe there is not sufficient evidence to conclude the whole nation under non-repentance. There is ample evidence that repentance is growing in the US and elsewhere.

Also, the verse you quoted is not the complete formula for it references those individuals who are doing wickedly, and possibly also those who are genuinely saved but are failing in some area of their life. But what abut the influence and work of the righteous? If your formula is based primarily on that verse, then your formula is incomplete for it lacks one other important conditional, namely the presence of a great many praying Christians who are interceding for a nation, such as is occurring in the US. That conditional is not mentioned in the verse you have referenced. In other words, it does not specifically mention the work and role of a minority of intercessors. One single intercessor can make a mighty difference in a segment of society. An example would be Abraham interceding for Sodom and Gomorrah. If there had been just a tiny fraction of the population that had been righteous, and along with an intercessor (Abraham), then the destruction would not have fallen. So an entire society does not have to be repentant or converted in order for certain disaster to be avoided. That is being taken into consideration by the OP. That is why I said, "I am praying that the Lord will continue to raise up a multitude of praying Christians to intercede for the nations"

The godless have been benefiting from the prayers of the righteous for a long while now. Truly.

Agreed that it is the righteous in these places that save them. I do feel that certain parts of the country (states and cities) have certain sins endemic to them and that they need to repent of. For some its greed, others slavery, and so on. But there needs to be more work done on a state and city basis for corporate repentance.

I'm thanking God for directing His people on who to vote for, for compelling others to vote in line with God's will, and for somehow preventing the casting of wrong votes to whatever extent and by whatever means possible.

That is an admirable prayer and I am praying similarly. However more and more I tend to agree with the old Native American proverb, "The right wing and left wing are on the same bird." Nevertheless some are a bit more likely to support pro life policies than others so that's always my number one priority personally.
