It happened. I was strong in my faith and I have fell into doubt. I am doubting Christianity and the Bible. I see some many things speaking of false religions and I am wondering what if Christianity is really a false religion. Is Christianity the true religion? How do you know it is? Regions like Islam claim they are true. What if Christianity is really the deception, which I don’t think it is. I am trying to pray hard to get a confirmation from God that Christianity is true. Hopefully, sometime soon God can reveal the truth to me. Can someone help me.

Christianity is absolutely 100% genuine. God has been faithful to me and answering my prayers, guiding my life for more than 50 years.

Do some research on why the Bible is true. Then you'll know why the writings of others cannot be true. Read the book "Evidence That Demands a Verdict".

All of the false religions have one thing in common. You must do something to get right with God.
Christianity is the only one where God made us right with Him.

Religions of world - man seeking God
Christianity = God seeking man

I would highly recommend that book, also. By Josh McDowell.

If Jesus didn't rise from the dead feel free to explain what happened to His body.

God is true. Some of what people said about God is false. You may need to find a good Christian to witness to you about what Christ has done for him/her. Jesus has reformed people.

"Seek and you will find." Jesus.

this article sheds some light. Not sure if Its true though. I just want to know that Christianity is true and that I am living the right way.
It looks like you forgot to add a link to the article. As for religions, they all are some sort of a pursuit of the greater understanding of reality. So we have the same reality, regardless of the religion that a person is most accustomed to.

In Christianity, we have a central issue, that is Jesus being anointed as Messiah, who was condemned to death by the High Priest of Judaism at the time, and the Torah scholars who believed that Jesus was guilty of sin. But we believe He wasn't, and Christianity is the side of the dispute that says God is with Jesus.

This is the fulfilment of a prophecy in Daniel 9:24-26, you should think heavily on that.

Now, it doesn't matter which religion a person is going for, because when they come up to the topic of Jesus Christ, they have to take a side. Unfortunately though, it's not the end of the story, because there have been false teachers in Christianity who have made it into something that doesn't represent Jesus at all .. in fact, the false teachers are liars. They are liars because whenever the truth comes along to show them that their beliefs are in error, they refuse to accept the truth in order to defiantly stick to their beliefs. I don't hesitate to call them the children of the devil, I name them as antichrists (although, forum rules prevent me from specifically saying that a group or an individual aren't Christian if they have identified themselves as Christian) - so I speak in general terms, and I never direct my accusations at anyone in particular. You will know them by their fruits.

This page of the booklet I share has some interesting quotes of scripture about that topic.

.. so I could say that Christianity, in it's proper form, is about building up a solid teaching rather than the tearing down of the false teachings (as that is what the devilish ones would do). St. Paul wrote that whatever is built that is of poor quality will be burned up with fire, and that only the quality will remain.

But yeah, post the link to that article and I will see what thoughts I get about that!

If Jesus rose from the grave, Christianity being true is the best explanation for that. Whether or not another religion seems to nail an ancillary philosophical point is immaterial to this.

What books have you read on Christian apologetics?

Islam, Christianity, and Judaism, are all related religions with esteemed teachings and characters present in all three. This is why they are all called "Abrahamic Religions".

So if you think Christianity is a false religion, it would certainly be a bad idea to convert to either Islam or Judaism.

Yes, it's a good question. Every religion claims they're the one and true way. Miracles also happen in Islam, they also have a process of casting out evil spirits, etc.

And then we have the many denominations of Christianity, each claiming they are guided by the Holy Spirit to the right understanding of scriptures.

You have to wonder of all these denominations are guided by the same Spirit, why the different (often conflicting) interpretations with another denomination?

And if they claim to be **continually** guided by the Holy Spirit. How come the Spirit they claim allows them in their conflicting understanding against another denomination??

A lot of things don't really make sense in religion if you look at it closely. Most adherents claim one thing but actual results are often contradictory. If results don't agree with what is claimed. If there are no false religions, then we only have believers who deceive themselves and deceive each other (most often not intentionally but out of irrational/mindless fear to investigate further).

I initially ruled out Islam as the true religion because Muhammad's only real exposure to Christianity was through a heretic (probably an Arian). If the founder of a new religion (Islam) that's meant to succeed another (Christianity) is exposed only to that religion's heretics (Arians, etc.), then serious doubt should already be cast on it.

What differentiates Christianity and Islam in this respect is that Christianity (which "succeeds" Judaism) was exposed to the genuine believers of the faith it "built upon". The Pharisees and Sadducees, though different, were genuine Jews, not Jewish heretics. All of the people who "built" Christianity (for lack of a better term) were men who practiced the religion which Christ fulfilled. Opposite to that, as I've already explained, Muhammad was only exposed to heretics, so he didn't know what genuine Christianity is.

So do you think Islam is the true religion?

False Religions EXPOSED!
I do think that Bible is what you should base everything off. I go to a non-denominational, bible based church, no offense to denominations.

I think that sometime Satan has blinded a person so much in a false teaching or religion, they cant leave it, even if God trys to get their attention.

Im just saying they just want to stay with their false things they ignore God. How was your conversion of being a Mormon to a Christian? Was it hard? Did you feel like you were taught false things? I love to see people come to Christ

God doesn't try and fail.

True. God never tries. He succeeds every time.

In moments of doubt I have taken solace in the Jesus' Prayer and reciting the Apostles' Creed.

The Jesus Prayer is "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner."

And the Apostles' Creed, if you are not familiar, is,

"I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen."

I commit myself to the confession which I first received.
