Cortez herself said the women was risking deportation by what she had done, did you watch the video? Of course that is just pure grandstanding of her to say that.
And as we already agreed, legal immigrants can be deported. But are you saying just because she isn't an American citizen she doesn't have the right to express her opinion to Congress?

I stated in another thread should Kavanaugh not get the confirmation, Trump should nominate Hillary Clinton so we can finally get a thorough FBI investigation of her and family .

Illegal aliens, spys, bots, diplomats etc. do not get to decide anything about the governance of the US.

I'm not sure what your point is. It's not like the appointment of Supreme Justices only effect American citizens. Anybody who is a part of the United States, citizen or not, has a say in the governance of the US.

The only people that are actually "part of the United States" are citizens. Neither welcome guests nor illegal intruders, nor invaders are part of the United States they are part of whatever country they are legal citizens of.

Oh, will we return her taxes to her then? Is she immune from all laws of the United States? She doesn't have the right to vote, but she has both a legal and moral right to express her opinions about the governance of the country.

Like an every other country in the world a non citizen is not immune from the laws of the country they are in and like a every other country in the world non citizens have no say in what those laws are. I never disagreed that she has the right to express any opinion she chooses to express. She just hasn't got the right to insist that anyone to pay attention to her opinion. She also has no right whatsoever to expect her views to carry any weight with an elected representative of the actual citizens. As for taxes. IF she has paid taxes to the US government it is because she profited as a consequence of being allowed by that government to be working in in the US. She has no cause for complaint on that score. Of course, if you would like top change the constitution and make it the law of the land that all taxpayers get a voice in government, I suggest you call your congressperson and advocate that he/she introduce such a bill. I might even be for it should it be expressly stated that only taxpayers a get such a voice in government.

Good thing as she ought not get to decide a thing in a country she is nt a citizen of. That is exactly what I was telling the poster that thinks she and any other non citizen that just happens to be here ought to get to have a say in governance.

She has a voice as a human being.

A very loud one from what I understand. And she can use it all she wants. I just don't want our representatives to pay any attention to her as I think she has no business meddling in the affairs of what to here is a foreign country. I thought a lot of people were against that sort of meddling in US politics by foreign nationals. What happened?

I don't care where it comes from,if it is wise counsel I want our leaders to listen,I'm not claiming it was wise only that if it is a wise person should consider it.

From what I gather, this wasn't some sage proffering wisdom in a calm and considered manner. Nor was her opinion sought after by the person she thrust it upon.

Well, I'd be putting forth a whole lot more energy into how Trump failed to properly sanction a foreign country for meddling in US politics than being upset about a sexual assault victim speaking out about that trauma. The latter has no international lines, it's a human being experience. There are plenty of folks born on American soil who've spoken up loudly but not been heard, so I'm all for anybody who can actually be listened to.

Was John the Baptist calm? As for whether opinion being sought after she was in a public building, I can think of at least a few cases in which wise counsel wasn't sought but was appropriate.

I cannot tell you how calm John the Baptist was while he was crying out in the wilderness as opposed to screaming in the halls of power. I believe John the Baptist was beheaded. I don't advocate that. He did not violate Herod's space but simply gave his opinion to all that would hear and he also was not a foreigner but a citizen in Herod's domain. Had an Arab been publicly shaming Herod about Herod's behavior I believe the Jews would have payed that Arab little heed. I expect my fellow citizens to have influence in the workings of government whether I agree with them or not, but since I would not consider it my place to go to a foreign country and tell their officials how to behave , I find it ludicrous for foreign nationals to think they should do that. I would also wager that those foreign nationals would think me ill mannered and presumptuous to act in that manner while a guest in their country.

Your entire argument is summed up in the last two sentences. To which I reply, again, if it is wise counsel, I don't care who it comes from and neither should anyone else.

Who cares who invited them? Even if their words did encourage Flake to call for an FBI investigation the investigation should have happened anyway. I don't care who convinced him to call for it.

Most of us do care. We don't agree with the tactics of
smear and intimidation used so commonly by the left.

No, they don't, which is why we have laws in the first place.
