The Failing NYT has a letter Kavanaugh wrote to other prep school students about renting a condo for Beach Week.

Through his lawyers, Judge Kavanaugh declined to comment for this article, other than to say of his letter: “This is a note I wrote to organize ‘Beach Week’ in the summer of 1983.”

In a neatly written postscript, he added: Whoever arrived first at the condo should “warn the neighbors that we’re loud, obnoxious drunks with prolific pukers among us. Advise them to go about 30 miles...”

Other choice quote:

"I think we are unanimous that any girls we can beg to stay there are welcomed with open..."

I wonder if that ellipsis is a reference to the Who's "You Better You Bet" (released 1981)

Oh, and that signoff:

FFFFF,
[Brett] Kavanaugh

For comparison, from the Senate testimony:
KAVANAUGH: One of our friends, Squi, when he said the F word starting at a young age, had kind of a wind-up to the F word. Kind of a “ffff.”

(LAUGHTER)

And then the word would come out. And when we were 15, we thought that was funny. And it became an inside joke for the — how he would say, “Ffff” — and I won’t repeat it here. For the F word.

Kind of an odd way to sign off a letter. F-word, Brett

Eh. So what. People drink, people sometimes swear. If that disqualifies you from being a senator then we should investigate the current senators because I'm sure none would pass the test.

People who lie about it in a job interview don't get the job, if they are found out.
Because no one has ever lied....ever. This is all just democrats looking for any reason to get Kav out. As the one senator already said he has a link to a website that was already setup in case Kav doesn't make the cut. Its for the next republican pick. A site that picks the next guy apart too.

Its about losing power for the democrats. Which is all very silly to me because come next election they can have power back again and vica versa. Its an ongoing battle that never ends though both sides treat it like its the end of the world each time.

I do not believe a stumble drunk never lied. GQ did a story, "All of Bret Kavanaugh's Lies," two days ago. All of Brett Kavanaugh's Lies

He actually signed it Bart. I thought it was fake until his lawyer confirmed he wrote it.

You think that he committed perjury from this revelation?

I don't see a slam-dunk smoking gun here, but the picture is becoming clearer. His discussion of his drinking and his explanation of FFFFF are straining my credulity.

(Other testimony, such as his handling of stolen Democratic memos, is closer to the lying/perjury line.)

If you'd like to discuss President Obama, shouldn't you start a thread about him?

He signed it BART, as in Bart O'Kavanaugh?

I love that fact that democrats, who likely drink too, suddenly find drinking to be a bad thing for anyone in a high position. And the fact they are upset about a letter about young adults probably on spring break getting drunk and being horny to be bad is HILARIOUS. Have you seen young adults on their breaks from college? They go get hammered at the beaches, have sex and do all kinds of terrible things.

So we can add it to the list of horrible things hes done so far:
1. Drinks beer
2. Throws up
3. Makes fart jokes
4. Threw ice at someone once
5. Was horny as a young adult

Yes. Apparently he got that nickname after someone messed his name up.

I thought it was fake. He signed it with the F's that he claimed he couldn't remember what it meant. He signed Bart, after dodging the question if that was him. He mentioned drinking, vomiting in regard to drinking, being loud and obnoxious, and having girls spend the week with him. All the stuff he dodged or said he didn't participate in. I thought it was a plant because the only thing missing was a line saying not to invite Christine again because she doesn't know how to have fun. Seriously. He lied and dodged for dear life during that hearing.

It's telling that all you can do is attack a strawman.

And lied about all of it as an adult under oath after swearing to tell the truth, so help him God. Also boofing isn't related to fart jokes.

He lied about what all those things mean, probably because being honest would blow apart the Norman Rockwell facade he presented. It's pretty obvious Brett was a party animal whose drinking was out of control, and that he had little respect for women (that's what FFFFF is about).
