So a little background information.Me and my mom have gone to my current church for about 9 years.I had been in clubs every now and then, but I was usually pulled out of them.Currently,me and my mother go to service Sunday morning and Sunday night. We have service every Tuesday night,Saturday night, and Sunday morning and Sunday night.I get coming to church, but I feel weird having almost been at the church for close to a decade and not really knowing anyone. We have homecoming, which is where we sit and eat with other members after church in October, and we did that maybe once, and we have never done it again. We also have many events and ministries in my church, but the church is far,so I cannot join any since I cannot drive yet.Is it weird that we do not really fellowship with anyone?I want to change and get to know people my age in my church, because I just think its weird to go to church, but we do not join in on any activities at all.

I have to say fellowship is VERY important.

Like a charcoal that falls to the side, it will quickly cool down. The closer the center of the fire and with other coals, the greater the heat.

I think fellowship is crucial. I’m so sorry you feel distant at church. Your Christian brothers and sisters are the ones that will pray with you, encourage you in the Word when you are struggling, and celebrate your accomplishments.

I understand the transportation issue. Is there a church closer to you that you could plug into? Or someone you could carpool with? It may be awkward to ask at first, but so worth it when you invest.

The other answers so far are spot on, IMO. In addition, from the beginning of the Christian church it was communal, and emphasized the importance of partaking in the worship of Christ as a community. In addition, God works through other people to affect our lives.

Last we're social creatures by God's design on some level, even me as an introvert ;)

I could try to find a church closer to me.I may just have to go along with the carpool until I get my license.

That is true.I wondered if me not being able to fellowship with others would effect my relationship with God.

I am a introvert as well, but I have really felt that I need to fellowship with more people in my church now.

That's a good feeling to have! I totally agree that you do. As I said before, it's been important since the time of the early church. Even as an introvert, most Christians are extremely welcoming, so stick your neck out there. You won't regret it I'm sure :)

I tend to join in with volunteer stuff at church. That usually gets people talking when you're working together for a common goal. Not to be insulting of course. I only want to offer a suggestion :)

Yes, try to remember that Christianity is not completely an individual religion. We need the communion of Saints.

It’s essential as a new or old Christ follower.
I might even say that engaging in a group evangelism activity can be quite rewarding as well as it can grow your faith and knowledge in the Lord.

No. It can defile the girl by male. It is good to be 100% pure so you will find 100% pure husband there is no bigger reward than this.
