Any members, adherents, or sympathisers of them or with them on here? :)
Never heard of them until now but from I've just read, they sound fairly reasonable in their views. Though, there are some things I would certainly disagree with from their social platform, they seem to be far more moderate and reasonable than the current Republican Party platform which seems to be little more than blind adherence to the Word of Trump.

I agree with most of what I've read in their platform. And honestly I do think that the US needs a true Christian Democratic party. There are a couple of major points in the platform that would probably keep me from voting from them, but as I whole I can agree or at least tolerate most of it.

I don't know anything about them. Do they support President Trump?
It's because I couldn't vote for The Donald, nor for Hillary, that I began to look seriously at other candidates and other parties. I started out as a Democrat years ago, and that party left me behind when it insisted on abortion as one of it's core values. So I became an uncomfortable Republican, but managed at that for over 30 years. With Trump now owning the Republican Party I can no longer be a member. His supreme court picks have been pro-life but what their other policies are is yet to be seen.

In the last election I voted for Evan McMullen, an unknown decent conservative. I was glad I did, not compromising to vote for Tweedle Dee or Tweedle Dum. And McMullen actually had the tiniest real possibility of winning the election in a brokered election if everything went exactly right for him. It didn't. We would have been far better governed had he pulled it off. Or rather had the electorate not been so stuck on voting against the candidates they hated instead of for someone decent.

But leading up to the election and afterwards I got to look at platforms of various parties. I liked the idea of a party modeled after the European Christian Democrats such as Conrad Adenauer. The historian in me really likes Adenauer. The American Solidarity Party platform is centrist, values subsidiarity (doing things at the most local level possible) and is at least fair on everything it addresses. It is pro-life and I feel that it values the dignity of work. It has Catholic roots but also some Protestant roots.

Will they be able to actually make a go of it? We do have a moment right now where dissatisfaction with the two big parties is extreme. But it still takes a kind of drive to become a major party that I don't know if they have yet. It would be good for the USA if they did, but I'm not sure if they are that ready to grow. For now, they've got me. They should be of interest to lots of other people too. And we'll see what they do.

I am a staunch proponent of G. K. Chesterton & H. Belloc's 'The Guild State' and 'Distributism'; I am a supporter of subsidiarity. Also, We need to eradicate Usury, promote Credit Unions in place of banks, curb predatory loans and interest rates; curtail dangerous banking practises; curtail monopolisation and oligopolisation of our economy and control of our Government by the Banksters, Banks, and Mega-corps. Also, we need a genuine Pro-Life agenda: support for a mother pre and post birth of a newborn. An enforced cutting of medical inflationary costs. We need, desperately so for Medical care to become affordable again, and colleges and trade schools as well. We need to encourage Trades, Apprenticeships, and non-College Career venues as a large sector of skilled trained workers within our economy. To diffuse political power and economy widely throughout the United States; to ensure a healthier economic atmosphere.

I've seen nothing of the sort. I'd assume they'd support reasonable and temperate border regulation and guarding. Neither too draconian and inhumane; nor too lax.

Is this accurate information/description of the American Solidarity Party?

If they oppose Trump, they most likely do not concur with his style or at least some of his agenda. I do not myself. I neither voted for the man nor Hillary. His immoral, ungodly behaviour detered me; as did his endorsement of the Pro-Sodomite crowd. He hasn't proved as poor in the latter (thanks be to Our Blessed Lord); although, he has yet to roll back or reverse the Progressive onslaught against Christ and His Holy Church. We require a Constantine out of him, at the very least; not an evanescent or mercurial mind.

Pray for the President, his poor soul. Jesu mercy.+

I am hesitant with respect to endorsing a system of universal healthcare; however, a decentralised public health insurance programme might be viable. Our present system is broken and our healthcare costs are exorbitantly or usuriously high. However, on the whole, the party description is spot on more or less. As a Distributist and vehement pro-life man, it does a great deal. I disagree with the party with respect to Capitol Punishment; being a firm proponent of the gallows for murderers, paedophiles, identity thieves, and rapists. However, on the whole, it's a great party and a noble endeavour.

What is a Distributist?

Granted nothing is perfect this side of Heaven; however, these three videos provide a general approximation as to what Distributism is. It is a decent and laudable ideal towards which our society ought to aspire and implement. Even if our economy becomes a mixed economy of the 'Free Market' and 'Distributism' with guilds as well, that'd be a 'win' or nearly so in my honest view.
