Hello Cribstyl,

Please look at what you have written above. It is exactly what I have already posted to you. So I guess we are in agreement? The other scritures you provided in Deuteronomy 5:15 and Exodus 31:16-17 exposes your mistake. Of course Deuteronomy 5:15 is from the book of Moses to God's people as they were the ones who saw God lead them out of Egypt. The reference to us today is that we were in bondage to sin and God is leading us out of the World. The BOOK od MOSES however is not the 10 Commandments and it is the 4th commandment spoken and written by God himself that tells us why we are to keep the Sabbath

EXODUS 20:11 - For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and made it holy.

Once again this is a reference back to when God's Sabbath was given on the SEVENTH DAY of the creation week.

GENESIS 2:1-3 [1], Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
[2], And ON THE SEVENTH DAY God ended his work which he had made; and he RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY from all his work which he had made. [3], And GOD BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY, and made it HOLY <the 7th day>: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Not sure what you are talking about here. This is the point I am making since the first post.

Well that is not true. Here I will post the scriptures again for you. Please show how EXODUS 20:8-11 does not link back to GENESIS 2:1-3 when verse 11 is a direct reference to this scripture and when the Sabbath was created.

GENESIS 2:1-3 [1], Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
[2], And ON THE SEVENTH DAY God ended his work which he had made; and he RESTED ON THE SEVENTH DAY from all his work which he had made. [3], And GOD BLESSED THE SEVENTH DAY, and made it HOLY <the 7th day>: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

links to...

EXODUS 20:8-11 [8], REMEMBER the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> [Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day] [9], Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: [10], But THE SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God [This is a direct reference from God's Word defining what the Sabbath is; The SABBATH = the SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK]: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY> [11], For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and MADE IT HOLY.

To say otherwise is to disregard the scriptures. Maybe you can pray about it further.

You have only been provided the Strong's Hebrew dictionary meanings for rested and Sabbath. It is not me your disagreeing with.

Your trynig to make an argument now that no one is talking about. The fact that Sabbath is a noun and resting is a verb is irrelavant. When put together in context of the scriptures and Hebrew wrod meaning they mean the Sabbath (noun) is a day of rest (verb) so we are to rest on the day from our work as God did from his work.

Let's look at the scriptures again as they define what the Sabbath itself as well as the reason for it.

EXODUS 20:10-11 [10] But THE SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God [This is a direct reference from God's Word defining what the Sabbath is; The SABBATH = the SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK; It is a DAY of REST]

the reason for giving it....

[11] [11], For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and MADE IT HOLY.

Your posting here does not make any sense. The time of the Sabbath rest is in the SEVENTH day. Look at the scripture

EXODUS 20:10-11 [10] But THE SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God

You are yet to clearly respond to the scriptures in posts # 61; post # 64; post # 65; post # 66.

There is a lot of scripture that disagrees with you. Hope you can pray about it and search the scriptures.

Hope this helps.

Indeed I agree. Thanks for being honest

Only God's Word is true and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God. There has been a lot of scripture shared with you. I hope you can pray about it further at home.

May God bless you as you honestly seek him through his Word.

Very good post.

And no worry about the last sentence, no, no worry at all.

Yahweh tells us (Ekklesia, not the people of the world)
all we need to know to live perfect lives in Christ Jesus,
and actually often very abundant lives (spiritually) in Christ Jesus,
with daily, continual righteousness, peace and joy --- yes, every day, in Him.(no continued depression in Him, no continual anxiety, or other such things, as written in Scripture - IN UNION WITH JESUS is the strength of our constant overflowing joy and peace and righteousness)

Yahweh created everything simple. Jesus is Life Giving Spirit.

Men messed up. (every day , obvious, eh? )

Hello Cribstyl, the statement above has no truth in it. God's 4th Commandment which is one of the 10 Commandment of God's eternal law gives us a knowledge of what sin is (Romans 3:20; 7:7; James 2:11).

God's 4th Commandment is a memorial of creation...

EXODUS 20:8-11 [8], REMEMBER the SABBATH DAY, to KEEP IT HOLY. <Why?> [Because God made it Holy for mankind and commands us to keep it as a Holy day] [9], Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: [10], But the SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH of the LORD thy God [This is a direct reference from God's Word defining what the Sabbath is; The SABBATH = the SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK]: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: <WHY> [11], For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the SEVENTH DAY: wherefore the LORD BLESSED THE SABBATH, and HALLOWED IT.

* The reason for the Sabbath Commandment is to REMEMBER the God of creation. He rested on the SEVENTH DAY of the WEEK, BLESSED the SEVENTH DAY OF THE WEEK and made it a HOLY DAY that no work is to be done. v11 Refers back to Genesis 2:1-3 and the origin of the Sabbath.

v8 shows that this commandment is a MEMORIAL of creation v11 [the reason for the 4th commandment]. Let's now look at the origin of God's 4th commandment...

Genesis 2:1-3 is a direct link to Exodus 20:11 as the reason God's 4th commandment was given in the creation week on the SEVENTH DAY.

................

Now take a look at the word REST highlighted and underlined in Genesis 2:2. The HEBREW word used here for RESTED is the root word used in EXODUS 20:8-11.

RESTED 7673. שָׁבַת shâbath, shaw-bath´; a prim. root; to repose, i.e. desist from exertion; used in many impl. relations (caus., fig. or spec.):—(cause to, let, make to) cease, celebrate, cause (make) to fail, keep sabbath, suffer to be lacking, leave, put away (down), (make to) rest, rid, still, take away.

The word RESTED used above in Genesis 2 is the root word used of the 4th Commandment. This word means to "KEEP SABBATH" to desist from exertion [context is work or ending work and blessing and making the SEVENTH DAY a HOLY DAY].

Now let's look at the HEBREW word used for SABBATH in EXODUS 20:8-11.

SABBATH 7676. שַׁבָּת shabbâth, shab-bawth´; intens. from 7673; intermission, i.e. (spec.) the Sabbath: every sabbath.

The SABBATH as defined in God's Word as v10 The SEVENTH DAY IS THE SABBATH OF THE LORD YOUR GOD because God BLESSED the SEVENTH DAY in the creation week outlined in GENESIS 2:1-3 and made the SEVENTH DAY a HOLY DAY of rest [שָׁבַת shâbath] [keep Sabbath]. The word used in the God's 4th Commandment "SABBATH" means the commandment is applied to EVERY SEVENTH DAY [שַׁבָּת shabbâth].

................

Let's look at the scriptures here a little further....

The 4th commandment of the 10 Commandments is a MEMORIAL of CREATION and a sign to his people that they worship the only true God of CREATION. This is an EVERLASTING COVENANT between God and his people.

EXODUS 31:13-17 [13], Speak also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths you shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am the LORD that does sanctify you. [14], You shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defiles it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. [15], Six days may work be done; but on the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever does any work on the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. [16], Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a EVERLASTING covenant. [17], It is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

New Living Translation
The people of Israel must keep the Sabbath day by observing it from generation to generation. This is a covenant obligation for all time.

English Standard Version
Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a covenant forever.

New American Standard Bible
'So the sons of Israel shall observe the sabbath, to celebrate the sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.'

King James Bible
Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

Christian Standard Bible
The Israelites must observe the Sabbath, celebrating it throughout their generations as a permanent covenant.

Douay-Rheims Bible
Let the children of Israel keep the sabbath, and celebrate it in their generations. It is an everlasting covenant

Darby Bible Translation
And the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations -- [it is] an everlasting covenant.

Now all of this links into the next key scripture as follows

............................

ISAIAH 66:22-23 [22], For as the NEW HEAVENS AND THE NEW EARTH, which I will make, shall remain before me, says the LORD, so shall your descendants and your name remain. [23], And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and FROM ONE SABBATH TO ANOTHER, shall all flesh come to worship before me, says the LORD.

............................

CONCLUSION: Yep the scriptures are pretty clear here that God's SABBATH is an EVERLASTING COVENANT that will be kept in the NEW EARTH that began in Genesis 2:1-3 in the SEVENTH DAY of the creation week. God's 4th Commandment Sabbath is one of the 10 Commandments that give us a KNOWLEDGE of what sin is of broken.

................

SIN is still the same as it has always been which is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4). SIN is no laughing matter because those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

Hope this helps.[/QUOTE

Don't get it twisted,
your comments are the traditions of men rather than what the scriptures conveys.

Now my dear friend. You have been provided nothing but scripture. Let God's WORD be your guide. Only God's WORD is true and we should believe and follow it over the teachings and traditions of men. It is God's Word that says all, who follow man made traditions that break the commandments of God are not following God not me....

MATTHEW 15:3-9 [3], But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? [4] For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. [5] But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; [6] And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. [7] Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, [8] This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. [9] But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Many do the same thing in MATTHEW 15:3-9 with God's 4th Commandment. It is very clear from reading the above scriptures that if we are knowingly breaking any of God's Commandments by following man made traditions we are not following God and stand guilty before God in sin.

................

SIN is still the same as it has always been which is KNOWINGLY breaking ANY of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4)

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

................

Actually providing God's Word at this point is not necessarily helpful or effective after it has been rejected so often repeatedly, just in this thread. i.e. unless another poster requests an answer from His Word,
it may be a time to stop responding to those who don't want an answer from His Word. No worries either way - we are learning as we go, and there is no condemnation for all of us Ekklesia in Jesus.....

Prayer remains, and may be all we can do, YAHWEH WILLING. (pray if He says to, for those He says to, as He direct Jesus who to pray for and who not to pray for, so He directs us)

WONDERFUL POST> but as you know, as Jesus said over Jerusalem, when people are unwilling, even Jesus did not help them.
Where does it mention, 'ten', in the New Testament concerning the commandments. All I have ever seen in the New Testament is the word, 'commandments', by itself.

Will we therefore just assume that the apostles are always referring to the ten commandments, when they mention the word commandments?

Making assumptions is always unwise, yet we know that there are other commandments, besides the so called ten in the New Testament.

The speed at which people quote the phrase, 'ten commandments', always amazes me. Perhaps in future it might be far more accurate to precede, the mention of the phrase, 'ten commandments'. With a statement notifying the readers that you have assumed, the word commandments means the ten.

What amazes me is that some people try and claim that if the words "Ten commandments" are not being used in a scripture verse then it cannot be referring to God's 10 commandments.

To determine if the words or phrases God's law; the Commandments; Law of the Lord; the Law is in refereence to the 10 commandments you need to look at the scripture and chapter context of the words being used. It is not very difficult.

For example some scriptures NOT referring to God's 10 Commandments using "commandments"...

NUMBERS 9:23 [23] At the commandment of the Lord they rested in the tents, and at the commandment of the Lord they journeyed: they kept the charge of the Lord, at the commandment of the Lord by the hand of Moses.

JOHN 13:34 [34] A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

EPHESIANS 2:15 [15], Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace.

TITUS 1:14 [14] Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth.

MATTHEW 22:40 [40],On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

..............

Examples of the word "commandmants" referring to God's 10 commandments...

MATTHEW 19:17–19 [17] And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, [19] Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

ROMANS 13:8–10 [8], Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. [9], For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [10]Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

ROMANS 7:7–9 [7] What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. [8] But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. [9] For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

..............

CONCULSION. The above are only used for examples to show that a similar word can be used but points to a different meaning. So what is the point of the above?

What determines if a scripture is in reference to God's LAW; the commandment; the law?

CONTEXT!!

To say that a scriptures is not in reference to the 10 Commandments because the words "10 Commandments have not been used is an argument based on error. What determines if a reference is talking about God's 10 commandments is the subject matter and context.

Q. For example what is the subject matter of "the LAW" used in James 2:8-11?

JAMES 2:8-11 [8], If you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well: [9], But if you have respect to persons, you commit sin, and are convicted of the law as transgressors. [10], For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. [11], For he that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if you commit no adultery, yet you kill, you are become a transgressor of the law.

A. God's 10 Commandments

..............

Q. For example what is the subject matter of "the Commandments" used in Matthew 19:17-19?

MATTHEW 19:17–19 [17] And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, [19] Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

A. God's 10 Commandments

..............

Q. For example what is the subject matter of "the Law" used in Romans 7:7?

ROMANS 7:7 What shall we say then? is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, you shall not covet.

A. God's 10 Commandments

..............

You should get the picture that just because the words "ten commandments" are not used in a scripture does not mean that the scripture is not referring to God's 10 Commandments.

The subject matter and context within scripture and chapter determine if the 10 commandments are being referred to or not (not the use of the words "the 10 commandments).

The 10 Commandments are referred to all through the OLD and NEW Testament scriptures.

Hope this helps.

What amazes me is that some people try and claim that if the words "Ten commandments" are not being used in a scripture verse then it cannot be referring to God's 10 commandments.
I never said that and I am not sure why you said that?

Not all references with the usage of the word, 'commandments', are referring to the ten commandments.

I will just use one example from the scripture to illustrate the point I was making.

1 Corinthians 7:19
Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but what matters is the keeping of the commandments of God.

In this verse the exact meaning of the word, 'commandments', that Paul is referring to is unclear. The context is of no help in deciding what commandments Paul is talking about. It is not at all a simple task to decide, which set of commandments Paul is referring to here. The context seems to indicate the instructions listed in that chapter, yet it is impossible to know absolutely.

A very common reference in the New Testament for commandment is shown below.

JOHN 13:34 [34] A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

So obviously, Christians are not under the ten commandments as such. There are far too many other commandments given in the scripture.

Hmm really David?

Didn't you try to use the same argument in another post in another thread somewhere else to try and say that God's 10 Commandments were not being referred to because the words "the ten commandments" were not being used within the scriptures, when the context and subject matter was each of the 10 Commandments? I can go and pull it up if you need me too.

The scriptures teach ALL those who KNOWINGLY Break God's Commandments are "UNDER THE LAW" because they stand guity before God of breaking it.

ROMANS 3:19–20 [19] Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. [20] Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

God's 4th Commandment is one of the 10 commandments

............

Is God's LAW (10 Commandments) now abolished through faith?

ROMANS 3:31 [31], Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

LOVE is the FULFILLING (doing) of God's LAW...

In the post you quoted of mine, I said nothing of the sort.

You know that I did not say what you said I did.
You were amazed and I am not sure why and your claim was not accurate.

What has that got to do with your inaccurate post regarding what I actually said?
The scriptures teach ALL those who KNOWINGLY Break God's Commandments are "UNDER THE LAW" because they stand guity before God of breaking it.
This has nothing to do with what we were discussing.

The rest of your post is irrelevant.

You were claiming in the post that you made earlier that the new testament does not use the words "ten commandments" only commandments by itself. Then you make the claim in your own words

klutedavid said: Will we therefore just assume that the apostles are always referring to the ten commandments, when they mention the word commandments? Making assumptions is always unwise, yet we know that there are other commandments, besides the so called ten in the New Testament.

Your post was that assumpations are being made about referring the 10 commandments to scriptures. You were shown in the earlier posts through the scriptures that no assumptions were being made and that within scripture and chapter subject matter and context determines which scriptures are talking about God's 10 Commandments and which are not.
You know that I did not say what you said I did. You were amazed and I am not sure why and your claim was not accurate.
I have posted your own words please feel free to re-read them. What claim have I made that is not accurate?
LGW wrote: The scriptures teach ALL those who KNOWINGLY Break God's Commandments are "UNDER THE LAW" because they stand guity before God of breaking it.

Of course it does. Your the one who claims that if you sin you are not under the law because your a gentile. Your teaching here disagrees with God's Word (Romans 3:19-20).

The rest of your post is irrelevant.

Why? Sin is breaking any of Gods 10 Commandments.

In the bible the new moons and the sabbaths was just that, as it still is. A new moon then 3 sabbaths is a month. Truly it is for mankind in more way than one, every mother has been or is on the same schedule. An ancient timepiece, a genuine sundial. It was readable WAY before even the early predecessors of. our modern calendars was even thought of.

In Genesis 1:14-19 God makes the Sun and Moon, he made the stars also, and this was the fourth day, the midst of the seven days of the Genesis week. The seventh day comes exactly 3 days later, which is the sabbath (rest) of God (Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11). The moon, its phases and sabbath are two differing times, the moon for months, and the seventh day for the end of the 7 day weeks.

The fourth commandment, Exodus 20:8-11 does not mention the moon by name, but includes all of creation together, the moon being a minor piece of it all.

Genesis 1 says "they" are for days, seasons and years. It is an unchanging thing. Over 10 times in the Torah new moons and sabbaths
are mentioned as interchangable. Its no lack because it's not finely detailed in exodus 20, the people of the time knew what day the Sabbath was. Paul, even relates the four days together in Colossians. The calendar we use now is worthless when counting biblical days. Just like the scripture says, "They" count time for days , seasons and years. Its a precision that will never change unless God does it himself. No man can change it. Our modern calender comes from the Catholic church, named after a pope, before that it was Roman, which is the same thing. World made and from an ignorant structure that isn't even mathmatecally correct to its own days, seasons or years.

Genesis 1 says "they" are for days, seasons and years
Yes, Sun for the light part of the day, and Moon for the night part of the day, as said. 'to divide the day from the night'. Also the Moon is for days of the month, and does not say for weeks, ever, in the Bible.

Genesis 1:18 also says, 'to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness'

Moon is also for months, and 360 day year.

It does not say for weeks, in Genesis or Exodus.

It is an unchanging thing.
I agree it is unchanging. That doesn't make your error right.

Over 10 times in the Torah new moons and sabbaths are mentioned as interchangable.
They are not interchangable.

There is only one instance in which New Moon and a (festal) sabbath meet all the time, and that is in the yearly festal sabbath of Feast of Trumpets, Leviticus 23:24.

Its no lack because it's not finely detailed in exodus 20, the people of the time knew what day the Sabbath was.
What you mean to say is it doesn't say what you want, so you make stuff up and as another user says, you quote you.

Paul, even relates the four days together in Colossians.
You need to read the other threads, see - https://www.christianforums.com/thr...-covenant-fulfilled-in-the-new-col-2.8062561/

sabbaths of years in Colossians 2, not weekly.

The calendar we use now is worthless when counting biblical days.
No it is not. The weekly cycle of time, the 7 continuous days, have not changed since they were instituted in Genesis, confirmed in Exodus, lived in the interim unto the NT, and lived by Jesus, then by the Apostles, and those who walked even as they walked, unto today.

There are Jews and Christians that know when the sabbath of God is (Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11).

Just like the scripture says, "They" count time for days , seasons and years.
You assumed your position, and prove that position by that erroneous assumption, and then discard evidence that is against it, by saying, "its not finely detailed". Yes it is. You just did not like what it said, because it disagrees with you. You would rather be right than God's word.

Its a precision that will never change unless God does it himself.
Differing time clocks.

No man can change it.
I agree, which means the error you are promoting failed before it started.

Our modern calender comes from the Catholic church
Oh please.

named after a pope
You do realize that there are other calendars in the world besides Gregorian?

before that it was Roman
You do realize that there are other calendars besides the Roman? There are even astrological calendars which have nothing to do with the Roman calendar.

which is the same thing.
Not really. Speak to a Chronologist.

World made and from an ignorant structure that isn't even mathmatecally correct to its own days, seasons or years.
The calendar you must go by has serious flaws, just using Leviticus 23 as a litmus test. See Pentecost; Leviticus 23:9-22. 50 days and 7 weekly sabbaths, or 49 days, plus 1 day. Lunar sabbath cannot do that math without 'common core' help.

Firstly, I dont see where I ever said week(s) anywhere. But if I would had it should still been acceptable considering I speak a southern dialect of American English. They/Them, what's a subjective or objective pronoun anyways?? Lol

What I meant by interchangable, is that on a New Moon, there is no Sabbath, but there is still a rest. New Moon literally means first day of the month. And guess what is 14 days later, after a new moon?

Of course I'm not ignorant of the MANY extinct and MANY modern calendars and no telling how many in between. I'm pretty sure you considered that already though. :)

I mentioned the gregorian calendar because we use it, this forum is timed right with it, a big part of world industries and such all use it, example, even if we may use a Chinese calendar too, we'll still often use gregorian for all our shipping and receiving. Plus there are more readers than just yourself.

As for the thread on Colossians you recommended me to read some of, so do you think that I'm recommending to follow these days as per ritual and law? Because if so, you have grossly misunderstood me.

Agriculture also played its role and the Sun too, I'm also not saying the entire system revolves around the moon alone. I'm just answering the question of, when was the sabbath days in the bible. The quickest way to recognize a close estimate is by simply looking at the moon.

Also I see you may be interpreting the 7 days of genesis 1 as being literal and applied directly to our own days ? Forgive me if I'm wrong on that but I personally believe they are unspecified amounts of time but that's not a discussion for this thread.

Going by what you say, Sabbath is a few days after the moon day..am I understanding you correctly? Well, we don't know exactly where the clock was ticking when God set the moon in place, but it does say it was lighted up right? That's not a new moon and could easily been three days prior to a full one..you and I wasn't there but I bet it woulda been cool seeing it. :)
