as in, which community, but I'll stick around here for now as I was raised Independent Baptist. The Mrs and I are going to attend a local Baptist church (Baptist Temple) when we come back from vacation next week. I hold to most of the doctrine from that upbringing. Long story short. lol. Nice to meet you all.

Ah, but we are generally all Christians, so you belong here everywhere where His are, which is in any and every area that is about being Christian.

The OP was in regards to congregation-specific sections of the forum. In that case, you actually have to be Baptist to post here, or else you need to be here to ask questions and learn about the denomination.

Well, as I said, I was raised as such. Attending an IFB church now.

Ah, sometimes in a denomination specific area, people don't realize the SOP is actually this way --

"House Rules:
All posts within this faith community must adhere to the site wide rules found here (Community Rules). In addition, if you are not a member of this faith group, you may not debate issues or teach against it's theology. You may post in fellowship. Active promotion of views contrary to the established teachings of this group will be considered off topic."

See?

Welcome. I was saved in an IFB church. Baptized in an IFB church. Married in an IFB church. Educated in an IFB College and Seminary. Pastored an IFB church for 27 years. Taught in an IFB College. Taught in an IFB Seminary.

I am now retired and living in a place where there are no good IFB churches so my wife and I attend and serve in a very conservative Southern Baptist church. We are not in 100% agreement but, for the most part, the doctrine and practice is the same as all the above IFB churches (after all, this is Texas, the buckle on the Bible Belt). :)

Again, welcome. Looking forward to some good discussions.
