Charlottesville rally organizer requests permit for 'white civil rights rally' in Washington

The organizer of the deadly white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, last year has applied for a permit to hold a "white civil rights rally" in front of the White House in August.

The event application was filed by Jason Kessler, the organizer of last year's "Unite the Right" white nationalist rally in Charlottesville that turned deadly.

Kessler requests in the application that the event take place at Lafayette Park, and the application states that the purpose of the event is for "protesting civil rights abuse in Charlottesville," and expects "400" people to participate.

Yeah - that has been on our evening news the last couple of days. In an interview he says he feels attacked by people wanting to take down confederate civil war statues, that it is somehow denigrating whites.

I have a statue of a WHITE civil war hero that could be put up in place of those other ones: General William Tecumseh Sherman.

Seeing tht guy on the TV, I really wanted to reach thru the screen and hit him. HARD. With a 2x4.

I don't feel very denigrated if a confederate statue comes down. It doesn't matter to me if it stays up either. It seems like an invented issue that isn't that important except it helps a bunch of college students feel like they're really fighting something. I suppose they need to feel important otherwise they'll just get into other mischief.

You are correct. If we look at the statistics, whites are lagging on so many indicators as they are victims of racial discrimination. As other racial minorities dominate companies, schools, housing, etc., what is clear is that whites have fewer rights.

White people have lost the right to call black people inferior without social backlash.

It's important to note that he's not racist or a white supremacist. He's a white civil rights pioneer and a black inferiorist.
