I like Huz and Buz, Mililai and Gililai, Shoa and Koa, Zur and Hur, Muppim and Huppim (or if you prefer "Shuppim" and Huppim") as well as the five sisters Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah. There are just too many to pick one.

Hmmm... off the top of my head only Milcah and Noah ring a bell. Who are all those other ppl?

Esau for forgiving his brother.

Simon Peter - he seems like he was always willing to try, such as getting off the boat to walk on water, or trying to defend Jesus with a sword. But he was so utterly human and flawed, yet...

He did seem like a real heart on his sleeve kind of guy. He was funny too. Remember when Jesus said will you 12 leave as well? And peter responded, you have the words of eternal life, where else when we go. That made me laugh. It was like, well since there are no other options... :D

omy i cant believe i forgot mary magadelene..shes my favorite..lol

When I saw Mary Mag listed, I thought ok, sure. Then she was listed again and it cause me to pause and look at her more closely. When I woke up this morning to respond, I had to wait because I had to drop off my son for SATs and thinking about her was making me emotional. This woman truly loved Jesus. Not the son of God, not the Christ, not the healer, not the prophet; but him. I’m not saying she did not believe those things, but that she loved him for him. He was beaten beyond recognition, he was hanging on the cross in his darkest hour, and the only other two people mentioned are his mother and John. When the lights went out and the party was over, she went to take care of his body. It didn’t matter who he claimed to be, it didn’t matter that they thought he failed, it didn’t matter that his dream came up short; it didn’t matter that he was gone. She loved him anyway. What man can love like a woman?

I love how faithful, humble and gifted he was.

All that power in Egypt. But he wanted to be buried with his people. You guys are making me feel like preaching this morning! :D

David,He made so many mistakes yet had such an heart after God and a
love for Jesus that makes me envy.

When Absolom rebelled against his father and died, David's supporters cheered, but David was devastated. Joab had to snap him out of it. I wonder if God feels that way about Satan.

David.

He was a mere boy when he fought Goliath, while the king and the entire army cowered in fear.

And he had NO armor.

Just stones and a sling shot.

(There are so many others, but David is who came to mind first).

Judah Ben-Hur. I just love the way he defeated Messala in the chariot race.

I wasn't familar with Judah Ben-hur, so I looked it up. It appears he is a fictional character in a movie called "A tale of Christ" Sounds like an interesting story though. I might have to watch it. :)

It's funny how we can discount people because we don't know their personal history. David's brothers say him as a kid, but somehow, even though they lived with him, they didn't understand what a rich history with God David had already developed even as a boy. Goes to show you; we never really know who we are dealing with.

Yes, God had been preparing David for such a time as this. David, as a shepherd, had already killed a lion and a bear. He had already gotten to know God and love Him with all his heart, and what might be most profound, and which is very precious to God, is that David "feared" God. This is why he had no fear of man. beast, or even a giant named Goliath.
