David, a man who had some serious lows, and was able to praise God in the tough times.

Yeah, by the time you get done reading about David, you realize that God isn't looking at our idea of a good person the way we do. But I guess what I do love about David was that he really loved God and his dream was not to rule nations, but to dwell in the house of the Lord forever. My favorite moment with David was when he said he would not sacrifice to God something that cost him nothing.

I like John ... the Disciple ...
Yeah, he's my favorite in the new testament. It seems like he quietly got things about Jesus in a way that the others did not. His gospel puts a confused look on my face every time i read it, but it makes me look deeper.

I think my favorite 2 moments were when the ark of the covenant was being brought in to town and David was dancing with just a loincloth. Totally not caring what people thought of him.
The other is in 1 Samuel 30, where David comes home from a battle only to find that his village had been raided.
His men wanted to kill him, but David encouraged himself in the LORD and then went and got his things back.

Ananias, no, not the "My wife and I lied to the Apostles and we died!" one, no I mean the guy who after Saul of Tarsus was struck down was told by the Lord to go and heal him because the Lord had a job for Saul to do...and then Ananias ARGUED with the Lord. I like that even though he argued he did eventually go and do exactly what the Lord told him to do...then he's never mentioned again. I like all of that, he was obedient but he wasn't afraid (because come on, pretty much everyone else in the Bible simply starts groveling when the Lord speaks to them.) AND he had to be pretty gutsy to go heal someone who had been killing Christians for a while!

There was definitely something special about her. I can't think of anyone else who Jesus just came out and told, yup I'm the Messiah.

It's because they shouldn't care; but they did (circularly, He told them because He knew they shouldn't care, but would.)

I think it is an image of how He is open to everyone if you can actually make out His voice.

Yeah, was just listening to acts today. It's so cool the way those guys would dialog with God like it was a normal conversation. I need you to heal Saul. Umm, as in the killer? Yes, but the good news is he's going to suffer for me. Well, since you put it that way. :D just kidding, but love the level of connection God has with His people.

I like Huz and Buz, Mililai and Gililai, Shoa and Koa, Zur and Hur, Muppim and Huppim (or if you prefer "Shuppim" and Huppim") as well as the five sisters Mahlah, Noah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah. There are just too many to pick one.

besides Jesus, Peterrrr...
Yeah, Peter did have a big heart. He would just jump in head first. I loved the combination of scenes. How he denied Jesus 3 times, but when he knew it was Jesus he jumped off the boat to get to him. He must have been fun to hang out with. He was always saying something. :D

I would say, David, because I got my name from him. Just kidding, I like how he was considered a man according to God's heart even when he did all those terrible things.

Yeah that took me a minute to understand why. But the Psalms kind of put it in perspective for me.
