People who relentlessly state:
You must obey the TC, have little understanding of the core truth on which the Christian faith stands. The law God desires you to follow is within you, it is part of your dna, it s part of who you are. Telling people they must observe law that is in their mind and heart is pointless. And that law, is the law you sin by transgressing.
I have had much consciousness of sin in my life, but never once have I been conscious Ia sin by failing to observe a set Saturday sabbath
Marco70, what Law was specifically written in Jesus' heart by the Holy Ghost? He is the example for mankind, and must have the right Law, what Laws were those and where can I find a copy of what they say so I can compare the written word to the 'spirit', since all things must be tested by the word, even the spirits of Zimbabwe [Isaiah 8:20 KJB] for there are false and lying spirits that may try to deceive me [1 Timothy 4:1 KJB]:

1 John 4:1 KJB - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Revelation 16:13 KJB - And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

Revelation 16:14 KJB - For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

What laws?

Psalms 40:7 KJB - Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

Psalms 40:8 KJB - I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.

Psalms 40:9 KJB - I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest.
I need to see a written copy of this Law that you speak of Marco70 in the Bible, where can it be found to be specifically written out?

If one wants to know which law is written on their mind and placed on their heart, the simple response is: Anything that makes you conscious you sin by doing it. That is transgressing the law written on your mind and placed on your heart.
Lets look at what Paul said:

Carry each others burdens(love them) and so fulfil the law of Christ Gal 6:2

Do those, who do not practice what they preach obey Christ's law? Not a chance!
Do those who demand of you what they do not demand of themselves obey Christ's law? Not a chance!
They crush you with impossible demands/burdens that they do not even try to follow(Matt23:2-4) Just the opposite of obeying Christ's law isn't it. They are in wilfull rebellion against it

1JN3:18-24
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

I take John's word to heart. I have the real truth as found in the above verses. The Gospel of Jesus is so simple and SDAs make it so difficult. You follow a prophet that would write such things as God cannot love wicked children. She had no idea what the word "wicked" means. I have never seen a wicked child.

Your question was ...

(full scripture reference added in red by me)

The scripture says...

1 JOHN 3:9 [9], Whoever is born of God does not commit sin; for his seed remains in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

we can link this to...

JOHN 3:3-6 [3], Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [4], Nicodemus said to him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?[5], Jesus answered, Truly, truly, I say to you, except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. [6], That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. [8] The wind blows where it wants, and you hear the sound thereof, but can not tell from where it comes, and where it goes: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

to which I responded...

To which you agreed to and now you say you do not agree. So you have changed your mind. o_O?

I am not disagreeing God's true followers are born of God's SPIRIT. What I am saying further is that God's SPIRIT is the SPIRIT of TRUTH and only comes by FAITH in those who BELIEVE and FOLLOW the WORD of truth.

You
cannot separate God's WORD from God's SPIRIT as the SPIRIT of TRUTH works through the WORD of truth.

Anyhow the answer provided above is correct. You cannot have God's Spirit without OBEDIENCE to God's WORD (ACTS 5:32).

God's Spirit is the SPIRIT of TRUTH (JOHN 16:13; 6:63; 14:17; 15:26) - God's WORD is TRUTH (JOHN 17:17; 1 JOHN 3:9; LUKE 8:11) - God's WORD says the SEED represents the WORD of GOD (LUKE 8:11) and that we are sanctifed by it through faith by God's Spirit (1 PETER 1:22; 2 THESSELONIANS 2:13; JOHN 17:17).

GOD'S SPIRIT is the POWER behind God's WORD as we BELIEVE (ROMANS 1:16; 15:13; 1 CORINTHIANS 1:18; 2 CORINTHIANS 6:7; 1 PETER 1:5)

Only those who through FAITH in GOD'S WORD, RECEIVE God's SPIRIT to WALK in his WORD in LOVE to FOLLOW him who forst LOVED US (ROMANS 1:17; 3:22; GALATIANS 5:5; PHILIPPIANS 3:9; 2 PETER 1:4)

Only God's WORD is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God. You cannot separate the SPIRIT of truth from the WORD of truth.

................

SIN is the breaking of God's Commandments (James 2:9-11; Romans 7:7; 1 John 3:4)

Those who CONTINUE in UNREPENTANT SIN will NOT enter into the KINGDOM of HEAVEN.

................

God's 4th commandment is one of the ten (Exodus 20:8-11) If we knowingly break it when God asks us not to we stand guilty before God of committing sin (James 2:8-12). If we do not seek him in repentance and forgiveness we are in danger of the Judgement (Hebrews 10:26-27)

Sunday worship is a tradition and teaching of man that has led many to break the commandments of God. Jesus says that if we follow the traditions of man that break the commandments of God we are not following God (Matthew 15:3-9)

There is not one scripture in all of God's Word that says that God's 4th Commandment is now ABOLISHED and we are now commanded to KEEP Sunday as a Holy day.

Who should we follow the teachings and traditions of men or the Word of God? Who should we believe the Words of men or the Word of God?

In times of ignorance God winks at but now ,<when a KNOWLEDGE of the truth has come> calls all men everywhere to REPENT (FOLLOW) (Acts 17:30-31).

The point is they didn't have the baptism of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament. It is the empowerment of the Spirit prevents one from sinning.

Hmm? What does this have to do with 1 JOHN 1:9 and the post you are responding to? If no one had the Holy Spirit in the OLD Testament there would have been no prophets and people who walked with God.

Agreed:

Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.’ 39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.

To put it concisely:

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you for ever – 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you(with you) and will be in you(in you).

Yet God's WORD says...

JOHN 7:39 [39], But this spoke he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.

JOHN 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

..................

MICAH 3:8-10 [8], But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin. [9], Hear this, I pray you, you heads of the house of Jacob, and princes of the house of Israel, that abhor judgment, and pervert all equity. [10], They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity.

1 SAMUEL 16:13 [13], Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the middle of his brothers: and the Spirit of the LORD came on David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

2 CHRONICLES 24:20 [20], And the Spirit of God came on Zechariah the son of Jehoiada the priest, which stood above the people, and said to them, Thus said God, Why transgress you the commandments of the LORD, that you cannot prosper? because you have forsaken the LORD, he has also forsaken you.

2 PETER 1:21 [21], For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

NUMBERS 27:18 [18], And the LORD said unto Moses, Take you Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay your hand upon him

JUDGES 3:10 [10], And the Spirit of the LORD came on him, and he judged Israel, and went out to war: and the LORD delivered Chushanrishathaim king of Mesopotamia into his hand; and his hand prevailed against Chushanrishathaim.

JUDGES 6:34 [34], But the Spirit of the LORD came on Gideon, and he blew a trumpet; and Abiezer was gathered after him.

JUDGES 11:29 [29], Then the Spirit of the LORD came on Jephthah, and he passed over Gilead, and Manasseh, and passed over Mizpeh of Gilead, and from Mizpeh of Gilead he passed over to the children of Ammon.

JUDGES 13:25 [25], And the Spirit of the LORD began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.

JUDGES 14:6 [6], And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily on him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.

JUDGES 14:19 [19], And the Spirit of the LORD came on him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments to them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father's house.

JUDGES 15:14 [14], And when he came to Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily on him, and the cords that were on his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands.

1 SAMUEL 10:6 [6], And the Spirit of the LORD will come on you, and you shall prophesy with them, and shall be turned into another man.

1 SAMUEL 16:13 [13], Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the middle of his brothers: and the Spirit of the LORD came on David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

2 SAMUEL 23:2 [2], The Spirit of the LORD spoke by me, and his word was in my tongue.

1 KINGS 18:12 [12], And it shall come to pass, as soon as I am gone from you, that the Spirit of the LORD shall carry you where I know not; and so when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find you, he shall slay me: but I your servant fear the LORD from my youth.

2 KINGS 2:16 [16], And they said to him, Behold now, there be with your servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray you, and seek your master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD has taken him up, and cast him on some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, You shall not send.

EZEKIEL 11:1 [1], Moreover the spirit lifted me up, and brought me to the east gate of the LORD's house, which looks eastward: and behold at the door of the gate five and twenty men; among whom I saw Jaazaniah the son of Azur, and Pelatiah the son of Benaiah, princes of the people.

EZEKIEL 11:5 [5], And the Spirit of the LORD fell on me, and said to me, Speak; Thus said the LORD; Thus have you said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them.

EZEKIEL 37:1 [1], The hand of the LORD was on me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the middle of the valley which was full of bones,

EZEKIEL 39:29 [29], Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit on the house of Israel, said the Lord GOD.

EZEKIEL 43:5 [5], So the spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and, behold, the glory of the LORD filled the house.

MICAH 3:8 [8], But truly I am full of power by the spirit of the LORD, and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin.

to many time to stop...

................

CONCLUSION: God's people at the time of Jesus could not receive his Spirit while in the presence of Jesus when he sent them away or when he departed Jesus gave his disciples his Spirit. In the OLD COVENANT God's people recieved God's Spirit through his WORD and the prophets.

................

Only God's WORD is true and we should BELIEVE and FOLLOW it over the teachings and traditions of men that break the commandments of God. You cannot separate the SPIRIT of truth from the WORD of truth.

you are welcome to post to me, if you like, but only fair to tell you I am placing you on ignore. As I have read the bible extensively, and you only quote the letter, nothing to be gained by reading your posts. And as you constantly bear false witness, then compound your sin by your further comments and accusations, whilst insisting God's laws must be obeyed to remain in a saved state, I prefer to avoid such hypocrisy.
Goodbye

Hello Marco, I have never said or believe that anyone must obey God's law to be saved. This is something you are promoting even after you have been corrected. It is only God's WORD you are ignoring not mine. This is sad for you.

The point is they didn't have the baptism of the Holy Spirit in the Old Testament. It is the empowerment of the Spirit prevents one from sinning.
People were baptized with the Holy Ghost/Spirit in the OT, and Born Again in the OT:

Notice this statement then of Jesus, since being "born again" was commonly known in the OT, and taught by the Rabbis, Pharisees, etc:

John 3:10 KJB - Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?

Notice:

1 Samuel 10:6 KJB - And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.

1 Samuel 10:7 KJB - And let it be, when these signs are come unto thee, that thou do as occasion serve thee; for God is with thee.

1 Samuel 10:8 KJB - And thou shalt go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down unto thee, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shalt thou tarry, till I come to thee, and shew thee what thou shalt do.

1 Samuel 10:9 KJB - And it was so, that when he had turned his back to go from Samuel, God gave him another heart: and all those signs came to pass that day.

1 Samuel 15:11 KJB - It repenteth me that I have set up Saul to be king: for he is turned back from following me, and hath not performed my commandments. And it grieved Samuel; and he cried unto the LORD all night.

1 Samuel 16:14 KJB - But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

1 Chronicles 10:13 KJB - So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;

Consider John 3:3 KJB:

John 3:3 KJB - Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Therefore, let's look in the NT/OT to see if any "saw" the Kingdom of God:

John 8:56 KJB - Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.

Abraham was born of the Holy Ghost/Spirit and was baptized with such. Notice:

John 8:33 KJB - They answered him, We be Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man: how sayest thou, Ye shall be made free?

John 8:34 KJB - Jesus answered them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin.

John 8:35 KJB - And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

John 8:36 KJB - If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

John 8:37 KJB - I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.

John 8:38 KJB - I speak that which I have seen with my Father: and ye do that which ye have seen with your father.

John 8:39 KJB - They answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.

Abraham's works by faith:

Genesis 22:18 KJB - And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Genesis 26:5 KJB - Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.

He also returned tithes: Genesis 14:20; Hebrews 7:5-9 KJB, etc. and those who do not, verily rob God, of righteousness, for tithe goes all the way back to God, Adam, Abel, etc, etc....
The Holy Ghost inspired:

Genesis 18:19 KJB - For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

Again, speaking of Abraham:

Galatians 3:6 KJB - Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.

Galatians 3:7 KJB - Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

Galatians 3:8 KJB - And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.

Galatians 3:9 KJB - So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

Romans 4:7 KJB - Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

Romans 4:8 KJB - Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Romans 4:9 KJB - Cometh this blessedness then upon the circumcision only, or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

Romans 4:10 KJB - How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

Romans 4:11 KJB - And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

Romans 4:12 KJB - And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

Notice:

Genesis 4:26 KJB - And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD.

Psalms 116:13 KJB - I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the LORD.

Psalms 116:17 KJB - I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD.

Joel 2:32 KJB - And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Zephaniah 3:9 KJB - For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.

Acts 2:21 KJB - And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Romans 10:13 KJB - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

1 Corinthians 1:2 KJB - Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

They were all "sons of God" [Genesis 6:2,4 KJB], born again, filled with the Spirit:

Romans 8:14 KJB - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Hebrews 11 itself proves men were born again, and had the baptism of the Holy Spirit in their individual lives.

Moses and the 70 elders had the baptism:

Numbers 11:25 KJB - And the LORD came down in a cloud, and spake unto him, and took of the spirit that was upon him, and gave it unto the seventy elders: and it came to pass, that, when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, and did not cease.

The Prophets had it, the schools/sons of the prophets had it, even Namaan had it.
