Dear Christian,.

If Jesus (AKA God) is evident, that you can prove to other's that he is real (And God) That his invisible qualities are clearly seen in nature, then why aren't we all Christian's?

If you have undeniable, irrefutable proof that your God is real, then why am I not convinced by your evidence. If God is as real as the earth is round or the sky is blue, why would any rational person deny that.

People don’t deny the true God because of a lack of evidence - at least this is not the deepest and truest reason. The purposes of a man’s heart are deep waters, but a man of understanding will draw them out. Some people think they reject God because of a lack of evidence, but this is a veneer which is covering the real reason. The real reason that people reject the true God is that they hate Him. They reject any person who wishes to assert his authority over themselves. They love themselves and their autonomy. So they hate God, especially when He demands something of them which they would not demand of themselves.

If your God can be proven by facts, then why do you need belief. A Christian who says "You must believe in your heart" doesn't understand what using facts mean.

The evidence is there - it's just how you interpret it. For example, a Christian will look at the heavens, the earth, the animals, etc., and conclude that there had to be a magnificent and omnipotent Creator of it all. An atheist (or "seeker") will look at the same evidence and conclude it all happened by chance. For the most part, I think everyone sees what they're looking for.

God says He can be clearly seen. You say He cannot. I wonder which one is not telling the truth?

Romans 1:20 (NASB)
For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse.

Maybe, just maybe both sides are mistaken.

God is mistaken? Interesting thought, but if He was, He would not be God. I think just one side is mistaken.

How can anyone get a clear picture of the creator by observing what it created.

Hi PP, the great thing to remember about Jesus is that we know far more about Him than simply looking for evidence of His invisible qualities and at nature. Rather, He came here and was born, lived, died and, especially, was Resurrected, as one of us. And we have written evidence of who He was/who people who knew Him believed that He was, as well what He believed, taught and did.
If you have undeniable, irrefutable proof that your God is real, then why am I not convinced by your evidence. If God is as real as the earth is round or the sky is blue, why would any rational person deny that.
Question, what evidence or proof 'would' convince you? (a family member rising from the dead and telling you that it's all true perhaps?)

Thanks!

Yours and His,
David

I didn't say God is mistaken, I said that both side's who are making their observations about the meaning of the universe could be mistaken.

Evidence would start with observing the very real power of God, especially among the Christian quarter.

God was one that was making the statement about the universe. God said “His ”attributes can be seen”. The second is the person who made the OP. They said they couldn’t be seen.

Still wondering which one is telling the truth?

Hey, your signature doesn't make a real lot of sense.

Say you have a son, wouldn't you love him? Or do you expect Jesus to love him, but not yourself. Don't you think you're capable of love?

It does.

I could of predicted you'd say that, that actually is quite annoying. You had to reply with a completely formulaic response.

Have a good night.

Well because people choose to be willfully ignorant. If people assessed fairly all the vast items needed to keep and maintain an orderly system rational people would conclude there no way such can be by chance without a Creator. Granted because men want to hold back and say it isn't so doesn't mean God won't stand by his decision that people will be without excuse. I guess all one can do is encourage you to be on the right side of God when this thing called time is all said and done. Quite frankly I wouldn't take pleasure resisting the Creator. No offense but such pleasure will only be temporal.

If your God can be proven by facts, then why do you need belief. A Christian who says "You must believe in your heart" doesn't understand what using facts mean.

The post enlightenment concepts of “proof”, “knowledge”, and “belief” aren’t symmetrical with the biblical concepts of the same name. The existence of God and what God requires of man is known to all. God evidences himself through his works of creation and providence and through our own conscience.

Acknowledging the existence of the Biblical God does not mean that we believe in Him. Even the demons acknowledge his existence, and shudder. To believe in God rightly means to submit to Him and to trust Him in all of life - to depend upon Him.

If you agree to His existence but do not depend upon Him then you do not have saving faith. All the facts and proofs in the world will not necessarily produce this kind of dependent trust within us.
