I am a liberal because it is the only way I know to keep my spiritual and intellectual integrity and remain Christian. As a liberal I strive to never impose my views on anyone or to give anyone crap.
I suppose one cannot say a lot of what is given by certain people, WHOEVER, is very much crap, especially when apologizing for perversion.

But since he makes the post totally boasting about himself ...

This was not a boast but a highly personal statement of fact. YOU seem to be trying to turn it around into a personal attack. I refuse to debate in this manner.

Exactly the manner you are debating is exactly the manner you are debating.
(WE COULD HAVE FUN DOING THIS, thou h I doubt you want to.)

So I guess I admit I was wrong; it was NOT "totally boasting."
(That could never be true, but that is another story.)
Both boasting and "facts," (like they get from science I suppose?).

These supposed facts, "statement of fact" you call it, a rather SUBJECTIVE package.
Should we believe you, let alone think you understand what you are claiming things about?
(I don't mean to be too obnoxious.)
Pretty unscientific "objectivity,' a rather "self-interested" assessment. SELF ASSESSMENT.

AND TOTALLY OFF TOPIC, whether true or not.

Virtue signaling with claims about what one seems to assume are virtues, and possessed by someone hereabouts.

Geez, you come looking for a fight in the threads this morning or what?

Because it is the one thing TOTALLY AGAINST CHRIST.

Yes, the one and only thing so totally against Christ ... that He didn't even bother to mention it specifically in all of the recorded Gospels. Not once. Much less froth at the mouth about it in condemnation like you are.

Jesus did mention adultery specifically, though. Something that many "all homosexuals are damned perverts taking over this country!"-type conservative Christians seem to curiously not take too much issue with these days ....

Really? If "liberal" includes affirming and speaking highly of those who practice sexual perversion, then NO.

There can be no spiritual integrity (of thought, etc.) that can be maintained in any context of perversion, its practice and promotion. This is why mainline churches that turned liberal are dying!

Don't know if there was ever any spiritual integrity to maintain, yet that's another story.

I don't think he found it infiltrating his followers, like it has today. Like it IS today.

There was NO QUESTION ABOUT IT, mostly did not much occur to anyone having contact with Jesus.

And he was not about to give THE ENEMY too many ideas of how to assault him, I reckon.

Seems Jesus wanted to be positive - he quite specifically indicated THEE WAY OF GOD.
A man leaving and cleaving, leaving his parents and cleaving to an actual one-flesh wife.

All the posts you quoted are a prime example of why I'm no longer an evangelical Christian and why I could never, in good conscience, ever be one again. And you're certainly right about conservative Christians curiously not taking issue with adultery these days since they started supporting Trump.
It's astonishing just how quickly conservative Christian Trump supporters have changed what moral issues they will be morally indignant about when it concerns someone they politically support.

I don't take their Christian witness or their moral convictions against sin seriously anymore. I've started to confront any evangelical Trump supporter when I see or hear them start to complain about how homosexual marriage is ruining traditional marriage and family values while they flatout ignore Trump's long history of adulterous philandering and his bragging about groping women. Any chances of a convincing Christian witness goes out the window for me if that Christian supports Trump.

GOD INSTITUTED a man touching a woman; therefore any example of it could not possibly be as bad as absolutely denying the sexuality of (true) sex, practicing its perversion, and thus calling into question the entire enterprise of spirit, the Spirit male-female dialectic.

THUS one either sides with the Holy Ghost, or perversion.

The concept of "Christian privilege" is abusive towards our First Ammendment rights.

When I identified as a Buddhist, I didn't care a whit about "Christian privilege". I understood the majority of people in the US had a Christian background and expecting them to be indifferent to religious cultural symbols would be unrealistic and would ultimately be a mental burden for me to entertain.

How did this thread turn into a homosexual and adultery discussion?

A couple of liberals decided to stand up to religious prejudice against homosexuals and point out the hypocrisy of how said religious people nearly coming unhinged over homosexuality while willingly turning a blind eye to Trump's adulterous philandering and his lewd behavior of groping women.

And I repeat...

It's astonishing just how quickly conservative Christian Trump supporters have changed what moral issues they will be morally indignant about when it concerns someone they politically support.

The above post made me curious, so I thought I would ask a question about it. My question is general (and post) isn't directed toward any particular member(s). Can someone please point me to the scriptures where all the sins that have ever been committed by mankind are listed in the order of their seriousness? For the record, I know the bible states that the wages of sin is death and homosexuality is called an abomination, but lying is also called an abomination, so that doesn't help.

There are 95 posts above the last one. (A lot to be curious about.)
A fine number on the 500th anniversary of the Reformation.

Anyway, I doubt there is any such Scripture as you request. Can't please everyone!

CALLING BOTH LYING AND HOMOSEXUALIY "AN ABOMINATION" does help a lot. It tells us they are very very bad things.
I guess that is the part you would like to dismiss/ignore?

edit: VERY AGAINST THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST (Truth), is what lying is.
And that other thing too of course!
(It is sexual lying, affecting the very heart and being of one's soul.)
SEXUAL LYING.

I think it is reasonable to put homosexuality in the same category as other sexual sins.

The reason Christians are forced to emphasize the fact that homosexuality is a sin is because some in the homosexual community deny that it is a sin or try to argue that it is an irrelevant sin. They try to force the Church change its position in relation to homosexuality being a sin.

We don't have fornicators, adulterers, or others, trying to strong arm the church about changing its position in relation to their sins. Either they care enough to change their ways or they don't.
