My people; The Lord’s chosen ones, His elect; the people of God. Who are they exactly?

New Testament teaching is clear, the ethnic people that He originally chose rejected Jesus, so He rejected them; therefore the Kingdom is taken from them and given to another people. Matthew 21:43 None of these prophesies mention Israel.

Those new people are described in Revelation 5:9-10, as those bought by the blood of Jesus and they come from every race, nation and language. Isaiah 66:18b They are all the born again Christian believers. 1 Peter 2:9-10

The Lord will guide His people; Isaiah 35:1-10 describes the ‘highway’, the Lord will provide for them. Isaiah 49:9-13, Psalms 68:7-10, Zechariah 8:7-8

Awake now; Lord, bring on Your judgement against the enemies that now threaten the Holy Land. Act again now, as You did in times past to save Your people and to establish them once again in the Land.


Isaiah 51:12-13 & 15 Why be worried and fearful of what may happen, of threats from oppressors and of the Lord’s wrath that makes the seas roar?

The Lord’s wrath....This is the many prophesied Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, an event described by the prophets as an explosion of the sun: a terrible punishment by fire that will affect the whole earth. One result of this CME hit, will be tremendous ocean movement, Jeremiah 51:42, ‘that makes the seas roar’, Luke 21:25, causing gigantic tsunamis. This soon to occur, blast of superheated cosmic particles will mainly strike the Middle East region, Zephaniah 2:4-5, fulfilling all the prophecies that say how the Lord will clear and cleanse His Land. Isaiah 51:17-20 Get up now My people, you have drunk the cup of the Lord’s wrath, a double disaster has struck you; havoc and ruin and who can console you? Of all the sons borne to you, there is no one to guide the people, they have all been overcome by the wrath and terrible rebuke of the Lord.

Isaiah 51:21-23 Therefore, listen to this in your affliction, you that are drunk, but not with wine. Thus says the Lord your God: I will plead My people’s cause and take from you the cup of wrath, I will hand it to the enemies, who say: Let us walk over you, we will flatten you to the ground like a road for us to trample on.

Isaiah 51:14, 16 & 11 My people, will soon be set free, they will not be confined, they will not lack food. I keep you covered under the shelter of My hand and I put My Words in your mouth. The Lord’s people, now in exile, will come back and enter Zion with shouts of triumph. Joy will come upon them, while suffering and sorrow flee away. Isaiah 62:10-12 Ref: REB. Some verses condensed.

Of the true descendants of Jacob, only the Lord’s faithful Christian people will survive His wrath, as we are told in Isaiah 17:4-6 On that Day, Jacobs glory will fade.....only the gleanings will be left. Jeremiah 6:9, Ezekiel 20:37-38, Romans 9:27

His people are ‘drunk, but not with wine’. Amos 8:11-12 explains this: In days to come, I shall send a famine on the earth, not of hunger for food, but for hearing the Word of the Lord. People will stagger everywhere, searching for the truth, but will not find it.

‘The cup of wrath, handed to the enemies’. This will be the fulfilment of Psalm 83, Ezekiel 30:1-5, Revelation 6:12-17 and many other verses that detail this sudden and shocking disaster to those who want to take over the holy Land.

‘I keep you covered by My hand’. Isaiah 31:5 describes how the Lord will protect Jerusalem, but there are many promises how all who call on Him will be saved. Joel 2:32, Acts 2:21, Isaiah 43:2

‘They will gather and settle into the Promised Land’. The great Second Exodus of all the Lord’s people, whether they be true descendants of Abraham or those grafted in, will live in peace and security, at last fulfilling their true destiny being a ‘light to the nations’ and proclaiming the coming Kingdom of Jesus.

For the church, miracles DO NOT happen when there is sin in the life of the believer.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A LICENSE TO SIN.

An oft quoted phrase today is that Christ destroyed the Law. He did not.

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." - Jesus as quoted in Matt 5:17

The OT is riddled with stories about failure of human efforts due to God's refusal to bless sin in the congregation. If one wants to know why there are no miracles, one has to look no further than one's own flirtation with sin.

I have something I’d like to share that I think was a miracle. I took my kids to an indoor trampoline park and was playing in a huge ball pit. It was about 30’x30’ and about 4’ deep. My daughter was throwing balls at me so to get even I scooped a huge bunch of balls with both my arms and flung them at her and my wedding ring came off. I panicked and immediately started searching for it. It was impossible to see the floor and no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t move the balls out of the way so I could see the floor. So I had to start sliding my hands on the floor scanning every inch. I searched for about 30 minutes and found a cell phone and someone else’s ring. I gave them to the people who worked there. After 30 minutes my arms were getting really tired of pushing thru all the balls and I decided I had to take a break. So we ordered a pizza and sat & ate. Afterward I prayed and asked The Lord to please help me find my ring. My wife & I were both very upset that I had lost it. I went back to the ball pit and started digging towards the bottom again and as soon as my hand touched the floor my hand landed exactly right on top of my ring. I mean I didn’t have to slide it or anything as soon as it touched the floor I felt my ring. People may say that’s not a miracle but the odds of my hand landing right on it in that huge ball pit right after praying were pretty astronomical. I immediately shouted THANK YOU LORD!! I was amazed the thought that The Lord blessed me with finding my ring was very heart warming. PRAISE THE LORD!!

Psalms 9:15-20 The nations are trapped in a pit of their own making, entangled in their own net. The evil peoples have all gone from Your holy Land. Jeremiah 12:14, Ezekiel 30:2-9 Your people WILL rejoice and praise the Lord, Jeremiah 33:6-26, as they gather and return to their heritage. Today neither finds the answer they are looking for because we have corrupted the question.

Jews do not want a sign.

They only want the traditions of the pharisees to continue as it has since Jesus' day. Traditions reject signs. Jewish tradition rejects the truth of Torah/Tanakh and accepts only Talmudic interpretation. Even if Moses and Elijah were to appear before them a mere three rabbis could overthrow their words (a paraphrase of the Talmud).

Greeks do not want wisdom.

They only want a good argument. Political correctness will infuse the cancer of intellectual blindness into every attempt to gain wisdom. In the end their effort will rot and die from within.

Christians want neither signs nor wisdom.

They only want a spiritual thrill. Such thrills can be manufactured by a Vegas style musical extravaganza on Sunday morning coupled with repetitious propagandistic slogans in their mid-week pseudo Bible studies. Lies repeated often enough are accepted as truth. The danger is that false doctrine is accepted as divine revelation and foreign ideology(*) will become second nature thus completing the total corruption of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The End Times are indicative of loss - loss of moral values, loss of devotion to the true God, loss of truth and loss of life. All of this is in place today.

What people are really asking for is more of the same.....

(*) Islamic ideology is creeping into sermons and accepted buzz words in the church. Gullible bobbleheads on Sunday morning wag their craniums and buy it all without so much as the slightest evidence of doubt upon their brow. I've sat in such places heard the words and seen the reaction. The gospel is dying and its replacement is being accepted with open arms.

So what do Christians want? Tickling of the ears? 2 Timothy 4:3-4 The proliferation of books, movies and preachers spouting prosperity and the rapture rubbish, just leaves people complacent and uncaring.

Jesus clearly stated what will and has happened; The wisdom of the wise will vanish and; You have hidden these things from the wise and revealed them to the uneducated. Matthew 11:25

Many will try to gain this knowledge. Daniel 12:4 But only a few will understand. Daniel 12:10

Here is a Bible passage that seems to fit how internet forums operate in our modern age:

Ezekiel 33:30-33 People gather in groups and talk among themselves, saying: Let us see if there is any message from the Lord.
So people will read what is Written, but they will not act on it. Fine words, they will say, with insincerity, for their hearts are set on going their own way and they believe false teachers who promote prosperity and removal from any Tribulation.
