Theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking has died at 76
Stephen Hawking now knows that God is real. I am sadden for his soul. He made a statement that said because of gravity the earth can and will create itself. He was pretty sure God was not real. Well, now he knows the truth.
I am not a moral person, so I have no right to take a moral high ground. I know the truth and I continue to sin. If I die my punishment will be worse then his. For Paul said that it would be better for a non-believer to never hear the truth then for a believer to hear the truth and continue to sin.
I don't think OP needs counseling. I think OP simply recognizes that it isn't our place to judge another soul. The only soul we can account for is our own. Although "Well, he believes in God now" was my automatic first thought when I read the news, nobody should judge Stephen Hawking or speculate on his eternal destination. We simply don't know. We can never say with any certainty that anyone died unsaved. Reason, we don't know what their dying thought was. If they called out to Jesus at the last possible second, the parable of the eleventh-hour workers tells me that's good enough.
Recommend you post the above portion over in the Christian advice forum. Let us minister to you brother.I am not a moral person, so I have no right to take a moral high ground. Welcome to Christian Forums. We do talk about God here a lot.Can we not turn this into a thread about how "now he knows the truth" and all that? Let's make it about him and his contributions, not about people using this sad time to promote their own beliefs?

He knows whether he needs it or not. I'll leave it up to him.
Thanks. We as brothers and sisters in Christ His Church are all pilgrims living in an unholy land. We need each other. You are probably right about that. I will probably make a thread over there.
