Not one but four sheriff’s deputies hid behind cars instead of storming Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS in Parkland, Fla., during Wednesday’s school shooting, police claimed Friday — as newly released records revealed the Broward County Sheriff’s Office had received at least 18 calls about the troubled teen over the past decade.

Sources from Coral Springs, Fla., Police Department tell CNN that when its officers arrived on the scene Wednesday, they were shocked to find three Broward County Sheriff’s deputies behind their cars with weapons drawn.

While this is extremely true, there needs to be a better way to determine which human beings are too dangerous to wield a gun.

I think opposite is true.

What we saw was that we do not knowing how people will react with gun under pressure. Those officers could have rushed in guns shooting and killed innocent people by accident. That has happened before as well.

So popular myth not dispelled.

The real problem is the gun/kill mindset that is America. I know I will get push back for saying this but, just look at the reaction to the shooting. People are saying arm the teachers.That reaction , imho, is completely wrong.I can see multiple hazards in that approach. And there is no guarantee that the armed teachers will not act just like the armed deputies.

Had to say... this belongs under Politics. They are thick as thieves here... using our children again to try and get people to demand the removal of guns from citizens. Just as the supervisor of elections was never charged, I doubt the Sheriff nor his deputies will be charged. The only decent one was the one who resigned. I'm pretty sure we'll find a "stand down" order somewhere in the video/audio police traffic. (Cops tried to blame a "20 minute" delay of the CCTV from the school. NOW we all know why.) They are so corrupt in this county they thought they could get away with it and they might.

The deputies have side arms and bullet proof vests...and stood listening to the children screaming and being shot. How evil are those who pretend to protect us!

I hope and PRAY that the students and their families see this is not a gun control issue. The very reason we have the 2nd Amendment is for this type of government here. That right is not given by government, but from God. People cannot take it away.

I agree. Arming teachers seems quite insane to me. Police Officers with (they must have?) many many hours of training were erratic in their behavior. Imagine how erratic will be teachers when they have much less training.

According to government there are 3.2million full time teachers.

So I believe Trump said 5-40% of teachers should be armed. So take middle at 22.5%, and that has arming 700,000 teachers. So at least 700,000 guns introduced into schools, under sometimes very poor security (This will sometimes happen in such a large bureaucracy). Thinking this is going to lessen the tragedy seems insane to me.

I don't believe the deputies were erratic. They were told to stand down. Betcha. The only one with a conscience resigned.

Remember the church shooter was stopped by an NRA member with an AR 15.

Cowards won't go into a gun zone especially where they don't know which/whom has the ability to kill them instead.

The Constitution certifies our inalienable rights from God. The 2nd Amendment is included in this right to protect and defend ourselves---especially from a tyrannical government! (Such as seems to be in Broward County, FL.)

We're in a war against evil. If you don't believe that, okay that's your prerogative, but don't rely upon me to defend you first, I'll defend someone who wants to be defended first.


However, finding the supportive background verses is not a difficult thing to do, if one would but try and study God's Word!

Sheriff Israel has a right to his political view, as do all of us. I fail to see the connection between his political view and the shooting. Maybe you can show us how they connect.

I suppose it's best to wait until the whole world knows the corruption connections regarding this shooting (and the rest I surmise that the FBI "missed") and the socialist's desire for gun control.

(However you read that, it means that the movement is fueled and led by those who want the New World Order to control the world and the USA is a thorn in their sides because we have the ability to defend ourselves against tyrannical governments. Some believe strongly that those instigators will go as far as sacrificing innocents to meet their agendas.

Just because you might want "gun control" doesn't mean you are a socialist. But I personally pray that you have an American God-fearing basis for your view.)


As I said in an earlier post, nothing was done to our elections supervisor, who, after meeting with Hillary before the election, was found to be opening and "processing" and destroying absentee ballots alone... an illegal act.... so I doubt that even if the "stand down" order is verified, that anything will be done against the Sheriff and his deputies for failing to perform their jobs. The corruption is in the courts, too, see?
