“The place shall remain unknown until God gathers his people together again and shows his mercy.
God has gathered again the Hebrew from Babylon, so may be Jeremiah has taken The Ark back to the people of Israel ?

The Ark is in a cave in Mt Nebo Jordan , check it out.
2 Maccabees 2
4 It was also in the same document that the prophet, having received an oracle, ordered that the tent and the ark should follow with him, and that he went out to the mountain where Moses had gone up and had seen the inheritance of God. 5 Jeremiah came and found a cave-dwelling, and he brought there the tent and the ark and the altar of incense; then he sealed up the entrance. 6 Some of those who followed him came up intending to mark the way, but could not find it. 7 When Jeremiah learned of it, he rebuked them and declared: “The place shall remain unknown until God gathers his people together again and shows his mercy. 8 Then the Lord will disclose these things, and the glory of the Lord and the cloud will appear, as they were shown in the case of Moses, and as Solomon asked that the place should be specially consecrated.”

Jeremiah 3: 16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.
17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.
Welcome to the forum, Pup. In those two passages Eze 10:19 and Eze 11:16-19, where are you reading about the ark? What you fail to understand is that the throne of Jesus will be set up at the time of the 7th trumpet, more than 3 years before Armageddon, before the ark is returned to Jerusalem. The children will look up from the place of the eastern gate:
*[[Eze 10:19]] KJV* And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the EAST gate of the LORD'S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.
Afterwards they will be gathered and given the land of promise:
*[[Eze 11:16]] KJV* Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.
17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
18 And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.
19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

it's not in Jerusalem and hasn't been since Nebuchadnezzar. That is a part of your point. It isn't there until sometime after the GT. It wasn't there in the temple that Zerubabbel built. The reason that we know that it went to Babylon is because Hezekiah showed the men of Babylon, all the treasures of the temple. See 2 kings 20. Isaiah told him that they would come back and plunder what they had seen. Hezekiah showed them everything. Including the ark. Concerning trib signs point, what ever was there , it wasn't the real one. It is never mentioned after the Babylonians came.Welcome to the forum, Pup. ARK OF THE COVENANT IN THE BIBLE
It is in the temple of God in heaven.
Actually, my point was that during the messianic age, it will not be around. When it says in Jeremiah 3:16 neither shall that be done anymore, I think it is talking about the sprinkling of the blood of the animals on the ark during the annual day of atonement Holy Day. That particular function is no longer requiredit's not in Jerusalem and hasn't been since Nebuchadnezzar. That is a part of your point. It isn't there until sometime after the GT. Are you trying to say that there will be no sin during the millennium? Sacrifices to the God and creator of heaven and earth will be needed as long as there is sin in the world.
