Whether you know this or not, but "demons" "evil-spirits" etc., all originate in man. These "demons" are attitudes. Human attitudes. They are not fallen angels, or another class of beings God may have created, but this is not true. There are only three spirits the gift of the discerning of spirits can detect. This gift allows the person exercising it to know the source of spiritual activity, and there are only three spirits the gift can discern:There are so many things to think and pray about after a tragedy like this. The topic I'm bringing up here I do not view as the first or necessarily even most important issue related to this shooting. Certainly things like praying for the families of victims and healing of the injured and emotional healing for all who were there is more important.
But this issue is also important. It has been reported in the news that the shooter claimed to hear voices in his head and some have identified these voices as being demonic.
This raises some discussion topics.
What do you think about this?
How might demons gain such influence in a person's life?
Can Christians be oppressed and influenced by demons?
What can we do about it?
1. The spirit of angels (Fallen and Elect)
2. The spirit of man
3. The Spirit of God.
These are the only beings in creation.
"Demons" are human "attitudes" - good or evil. And yes, Jesus had to die for the evil attitudes of His Elect people. Angelic beings nor Lucifer are responsible for this killing.
The blame lay in the sin-ful, un-regenerated, unsaved, non-Covenant youngster that committed this crime.
Yes, Christians can still have "bad" or "evil-" attitudes.
