The arguments have all been made. Teachers should be armed? Not enough security guards? If college students should be armed? Ban all guns?Sad, but true.
Our final step into abject insanity on this subject was Sandy Hook. After we decided we're ok with classrooms full of dead five year olds, there was nothing else to even talk about.
Business as usual. Just offer 'thoughts and prayers', throw out a few tired old canards about mental health and restart the clock.

Sandy Hook was really our last chance. If dead first graders doesn't soften one's heart, nothing will.
Sandy Hook was really our last chance. If dead first graders doesn't soften one's heart, nothing will. At this point it's just part of American life, all for a massively perverted interpretation of "freedom." And we've experienced freedom 18 times already this year.
Very sad. Paying for all of them.
IMO if you want to help solve this problem insist upon mental health counseling available in schools
allow stronger measures when such a student throws all those red flags
add GOD back into classrooms
stop the violent video games
Wow, someone talks about policing violent video games... is it 1998?
