Jordan Peterson, a clinical psychologist from University of Toronto, has been lecturing about ideas that are building a bridge between science and religion. Lately for reasons totally unrelated to this he has become a YouTube sensation.

I've been following his lectures online from the days he was only getting 2000 views for a video. I watched his 'Maps of Meaning' lectures and his 'Personality and its Transformations' lectures.

I won't post a link. I'm sure everyone is capable of typing his name into a search field on YouTube.

I've been a fan from the first video I watched of his entitled 'Tragedy vs Evil'. From there I have watched all of his lectures for the last three years, and then watched his Biblical Series exploring symbolism in Bible stories. If you haven't watched him, I recommend you do. He is having a dramatic impact on the lives of many people and it would be beneficial to be informed about what he is saying (rather the rumors of what he is saying).

Have you heard of him before? Do you have an opinion concerning his lectures or Bible presentations?

Much respect for Mr. Peterson... I came upon him while he was battling the gender identity issues a couple of years ago. Definitely one of the brightest minds we have today.

Did you watch the Shapiro/Peterson discussion of Christianity vs Judaism? As much as I like Shapiro's viewpoints, he was, imo, out classed in this discussion by Peterson... good to watch though as each have some good points.

That was on the Rubin Report?

I did watch that. I like Shapiro too. I see him as the young lion and Peterson as the wise sage. Shapiro is moving the conversation forward with the boldness of youthful certainty, but Peterson has tempered ideas through long experience into carefully crafted narratives.

To me these 2 videos were very off-putting.
In the first video around 3 minutes or so he says that he doesn't know about the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ.
When the Bible is quite clear on the bodily resurrection of Jesus.
The second video is self explanatory. I still watched it thinking he might be saying he believes in gathering in people's homes. But he never even brings that up.
Hebrews 10:25 is quite clear on whether or not we should gather with other believers in assembly or not.

Sorry Doug, the videos you linked to didn't show up in your post. Were you referring to a Jordan Peterson video? To be fair, I don't know the man's spiritual beliefs or if he belongs to a certain denomination. What I respect about him is his common sense approach to confront misguided and manipulated millennial's spewing their post modernism nonsense.

The first video is supposed to be
Jordan Peterson - Does God exist
The second video is
Jordan Peterson - Why I don't go to church
I am not certain why they wouldn't come through for you, when I click on them they play just fine.

i love Jordan Peterson. I must've first noticed him right around maybe two years ago, when i happened to see him on Youtube, intelligently engaging in conversation, remaining calm, while those around him screamed at him. He's had my undivided attention since.

Lately his voice is a bit hoarse. i've noticed this several times. i pray for him, that God protects and defends him from fatigue or anything that could compromise his immune system.

He's a brilliant man and he is very brave-hearted to do what he does.

He's OK. Though I don't think he understands postmodernism all that well, because in many ways he is a postmodernist since he doesn't seem to assume a foundationalist epistemology.
