You're straining at a gnat and swallowing a camel.
Thank you, dear lady. But, it were be more powerful to quote the Bible verse by the Church rules. Or to write, if you have less time to find the numbers, something like: "In the Beginning - God" (to my memory, Bible).

Trump is protestant. Are there icons in Protestant churches?

Christians go on tours to Jerusalem and also get baptized in the Jordan River...and not necessarily as a first Baptism, but for the experience of it, for the pilgrimage and with the mindset of the history of Baptism in the same waters. Likewise, I cannot imagine the experience, of praying to God at that same wall where countless Christians and Jews have prayed, in the same area where King David himself prayed. President Trump I imagine, was paying respect to God and Judaism at the same time, just as Christians who go on tours to Israel, have respect for Judaism and Jewish people and their manners and customs.

Church rules? Now you're being even more ridiculous.
However, just to humor you...
Matthew 23:24 "Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel."

Matthew 23:24 "Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel."
The scientific facts are: 1) there are the shrines, and the churches.
2) the organisations have rules, the rule of atheism: "to deny God in public."
3) thus, there can be said "according to my Church rules."

If it weren't for the God of the Hebrews, we would have no salvation! We believe everything the Jews do and more... because their history becomes ours as we are grafted into the Vine, Who came as a Jew. Read up on the history of the temple, and the "more recent" history of that wall and you will appreciate the opportunity to go there and pray! Peace.

Being Protestant really has nothing to do with the wall or Jews per say. Being Christian I suppose does. With that being said, I have a simple question. Where is Trump's testimony? If he is saved, then I have certainly not heard his testimony of salvation.

Here is one report: Reports of Trump's salvation experience
It's common for church members to not be true Christians, especially those who are "brought up" in the church. Many believe that going to church "all their lives" makes them a Christian, makes them "good enough" for God's heaven. Indeed, sitting in church makes you no more a Christian than sitting in a garage makes you a car! Being Presbyterian myself I can see how someone in this religion can be in that state of mind until they truly do make a one-time personal commitment to Christ.

I noticed the difference in his campaign speeches, but didn't hear til later of his conversion. He has publicly promoted God and His goodness now too.

Not all Christians frame their salvation as a private experience. In the Lutheran tradition, this is generally not how we think about salvation.

Many Christians and Jews only think they are praying at a wall that was once part of the 1st century temple. Archeologists have found that this wall was part of the Roman fort called Antonia.

Researchers who maintain that certain words found in the book of Mark, were no longer used past 38 A. D. and agree with Josephus that every brick of the temple was over-turned in 70 A. D.

Though this comes as a disappointment to those who have made the journey over there to see this relic, it would have been better to have believed what the book of Mark recorded what Jesus said was going to happen to Herod's temple.

There were 4 or 5 ministers with him at that time. Dr James Dobson, who was one present that gave that particular report, has publicly announced the event. Unless someone was there (you or I) it will not be a first person account!

IF you follow Mr Trump (twitter works) THEN you will see his faith not only in action, but words. He is often giving God glory, relating how MAGA is getting us back to God etc. I mean, really, if the President of the United States is declaring God and His love publicly, that's a good testimony to me. That all those ministers have told of Mr Trump's conversion, that's good enough for me. As always, God is the final judge though, right? Even with you and me, you can't know for sure until God declares it to the other, before all. WE can know it, but others can't truly be positive as there are many deceivers.

But we can take from accounts in the NT that those who declare Christ can be used of God even if they, themselves have not accepted.

President Trump spoke to one of the most faithful blocs of his base on Friday, telling attendees of this year's Values Voter Summit that in America "we don't worship government, we worship God."
"As long as we have pride in our country, confidence in our future and faith in our God, then America will prevail," Trump said.
we are reminded of Scripture's promise that 'God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble,'" the proclamation states.
“In America, we know that faith and family, not government and bureaucracy, are the center of the American life. The motto is ‘in God we trust,’ ” the president said.

I try to lead a life where I don't have to ask God for forgiveness ...
Why do I have to repent? Why do I have to ask for forgiveness if you're not making mistakes?
- Donald Trump 07/22/2015

8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sin and purify us from all unrighteousness
10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us

Just what would "The Donald" pray about - certainly not asking forgiveness from sin!

Is he required that he shares that testimony publically to prove his faith? I've never heard of that as a requirement or even as an expectation for a Christian.

As for praying while at the wall, I'd imagine I'd do the same thing. The thing I find more worrisome is judging people for where they pray at and trying to set rules on where we should or shouldn't be allowed to pray if we identify as Christian

Matthew 10:32-33 King James Version (KJV)
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
