No just no. Tony Perkins has over the years shown that he's become the personification of a Pharisee. But after this development, I can't see him as being a good moral leader. Stop making excuses for Trump, and stop invoking he's just not perfect because that's not a cover for a man who has lived such a shameless life.

If it happened, it was a LONG TIME AGO and they both deny it happened. End of story.

What needs to stop are people who claim to be Christians trying to drag up things he did (or might not have done, but running with wild accusations) 10-20 years ago. People like you are so eager to ruin this man's life and reputation that you quickly accept and believe every single news story that's negative.

This is a chronic problem with this man. He doesn't keep his promises. If you didn't excuse Clinton then, then don't excuse this sorry piece of a man. We haven't ruin this man's life he did a long time ago.

Not quite as bad as King David who tried to hide his adultery by adding murder to the offense.
Not quite as bad as King Solomon either, who had thousands of wives or concubines.
All in all, I think Trump is on a lower scale of sexual naughtiness when compared with them.

Agreed. Its so obvious they are dredging anything and everything they can find no matter how ridiculous, as well as offering many $1000s for anyone willing to make an accusation against him.

The liberal left know that most will be proven just nonsense, but they don't mind as the damage will be done whether its true or fake.

What Clinton did was IN the White House while president. If it came out today that Trump had an affair while in the White House, I would remove my support from him. But what the man did (or probably didn't do, since they both deny it) 20 years ago has no bearing on today.

I'm starting to notice a pattern. Any time Trump starts to gain new momentum and has a victory of sorts, the democrats suddenly have a new story about him to peddle in the papers. Most of the time it's unverified and anonymous sources, but the left eats them up as if they're gospel. It's not gospel.

And for the so-called Christians who get up on their high horse and do their best to destroy a man for what he may or may not have done 20+ years ago is ridiculous.

Your past character will always matter. Actually after all he has said I doubt anyone actually is going to condemn him when he commits adultery against Melania again. You forgave him for his atrocious comments during the past year, how am I going to believe you guys are going to condemn him when he's going to do this kind of stuff in the future.

The answer is when you start making excuses for sin then it becomes easier to go down the rabbit hole and weakly justify it as not judging him.

This man is not David. He doesn't have the integrity and heart to bow before God and say he's wrong.

And as for the claim that Trump doesn't keep his promises, he's kept more of his promises than I've seen any other president do in my lifetime. For the most part, he's stayed true to his word and is working through just about everything he said he would do during the campaign.

That's only political gain in order to keep us all complacent.

What do I have to forgive him for? He never sinned against me. Everything he's said that maybe the haters think is atrocious was spoken with absolute honesty. I don't accept the leftist interpretation of his comments in the media where they try to twist his words to make them out to be as hateful and racist as they possibly can.

I don't know how old you are, but do you want to lay out all your sins on the table for us to see? Then we can make up stories about you, attack your family, twist your word, make you out to be a monster, and claim it doesn't matter how much you've grown and changed over the years, we're still going to judge you for everything you've done (and things you haven't done, but I want to ruin your reputation because I disagree with you politically).

Does this sound like the behavior of a Christian? Is this what Christ intended when He said to forgive? Where in the gospel does it say to rub people's noses in guilt and hold their sins against them their whole lives?

If someone works for me as an accountant and they embezzle funds, does forgiving them include appointing them as my CFO?

Sorry, but everything he's said has been justly criticized as being racist and appalling. You say his past behavior is just the past, but if you seen the present then you would know his actions speak for himself.

This is not rubbing their sins in their nose, but the fact that they don't give a hoot about their sins and people like Perkins excuse it as long as they get their political needs met. That is straight up moral relativism, and Perkins is one of the reasons why his type of Christianity is not going to last.

Lets think about this for a minute. THe DACA kids . . . raised as americans, brought into the USA as children and schooled here, now working as adults here, paying taxes, being normal consumers . . . were unilaterally decreed to be deportable by Trump.

That's not Christ like.

Then he declares it should be up to congress to change that situation.

Then he resists every effort to get such a policy passed, to the point of even holding up approval of government funding if such a relief for those "dreamers" is part of that deal.

I cannot imagine Jesus being pleased with such actions. Can you?

A christian point of view is Christ forgives and forgets and a christian should strive to be Christ like.

Actually after all he has said
.

After all he has said pubically I highly doubt compares to ALL WHO HAVE SAID behind his back.

I doubt anyone actually is going to condemn him when he commits adultery against Melania again.

Is this your husband that you are so familiar with his relationship with his wife and she with him?
I highly doubt he or his wife include you in was going on between them, as if it is your business.

You forgave him for his atrocious comments during the past year,

Forgave him for what? What are you talking about?

how am I going to believe you guys are going to condemn him

Yipes! Condemnation for what?

when he's going to do this kind of stuff in the future.

What kind of thing?

The answer is when you start making excuses for sin

What sin are you pronouncing are being excused?

then it becomes easier to go down the rabbit hole and weakly justify it as not judging him.

I do judge his performance of doing his job, and am quite pleased with his efforts, depite the constant barrage of people attempting to start irrelevant scandals.

This man is not David.

Noting the obvious! His name is Donald.

He doesn't have the integrity and heart to bow before God and say he's wrong.

Do you deem yourself a professional psychic?

As soon as it's a Democrat, you guys will be saying not to excuse his actions and that liberals don't have morals. That's the problem is that double standards are being played here and yet people are crying out about moral relativism.

I believe Jesus is pleased when a WRONG is corrected.
Breaking into a country in violation of Law, is what? Your first hint THE violaters have respect and intent to obey your country's laws?

Trump says what he would like to see happen, going through the proper channels, is required, whether or not it is pleasing to you or time-wise satisfactory to you.

Look, I could care less if your election of representatives look like an old worn out hag, or has the color of skin that is appealing or whatever you choose to vote for.....

But I do have a right to be critical of them stepping outside of the bounds of their authority.

You guys have to point of ad nauseaum criticized Trump's wealth, appearance, relationships, businesses, that have NOTHING whatsoever to do with being President.

And morals? Surely you are aware, politicians are taught to HIDE their immoral behavior at all costs, and some pay very high costs to HIDE their immoral behavior. That is so people like you, will presume politicians sit on a moral high ground. They don't.

But then, Trump is not a politician, and has no pretense to the public. He doesn't need the public to continuously be hounded for his personal slush fund, or foreign delegates for that matter, as is so often the case with politicians. Tit for tat is the political game.

No it's using forgiveness as a cover for allowing a man to continue on being a piece of work. That's the thing that is now how forgiveness is supposed to work. Someone has to show they have corrected their behavior. However, with Trump all there is boorish behavior being excused but he keeps on doing it all over again.

The ideal to achieve is to have moral behavior not flaunt it as a badge of honor.

I don't excuse either of them. Fortunately the issue has little to do with the duties of their job.
