We should, because in your servant's humble opinion He spells out time for us throughout the Scriptures, even when the end of this age, the flesh age, should end. No, not the day or the hour as so many are likely to point out, but the generation in which the end shall come. That generation is our generation, again, in my humble opinion.
There are only seven days in a week, and in previous posts I mentioned that our generation is exactly 6 days out from Adam (4004 B.C.). In another post I mentioned our generation is exactly 2 days out from our Beloved's crucifixion and it is repeatedly written that He will be raised again on the 3rd day.
Now allow me to bring in King Saul, the 1st king of Israel, with this admonishment: To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. Our Heavenly Father does not grab dates of Biblical happenings in a whim. There is always a purpose for when this happened or that happened. The anointing of King Saul is no exception to that rule, for it foreshadows the anointing of the true King of Israel, Jesus Christ. Let me explain.
The book of Judges ends this way: In those days there was no king in Israel, every man did that which was right in his own eyes. Judges 21.25 Then, after the short book of Ruth, the Bible takes us into 1st Samuel, where Saul becomes the 1st king of Israel. Question: When exactly was that? It was precisely 3 days out from Adam, 1,000 B.C. Do you believe the Holy Spirit, when He wrote the Bible, was trying to tell us something?
Could it be possible Saul's anointing happened exactly at that time to foreshadow what would be happening during this generation, because we are precisely 3,000 years out from his being anointed as the 1st king of Israel? I was terrible at math when in school, but even I can do that math. 3,000 + 3,000 = 6,000 years from Adam. In my opinion, we are about to anoint a new King of Israel, when He returns to this generation. Exciting, huh? If you care to, please give me your opinion. Merry Christmas. James.
