I did like him (still do actually), and I probably would have liked her as well. Of course I tend not to be a big fan of reality shows, bullies or dumpster fires so that has to be take in to consideration. :sorry:
tulc(is a fan of coffee though) :coffee:
I'm not a fan of either and yet what we have now is so much worse that it really cannot be described adequately. We will be paying for this for a long, long time - and that's the best-case scenario.

I've worked for someone like this, and I know that "outsiders" cannot understand the destruction they wreak. We all are outsiders. Whatever we expect, the reality will be worse.

So we'd have the absence of that with HC.

We'd be better off in that we'd have a moderately alert career politician in the office

She's actually proven to be a career liar and crook more investigations everyday getting kind of old wrote a book about how everybody else did her wrong.

Made very stupid remarks such as calling Trump supporters deplorables that I see as the final nail that was put into her election coffin.

All showing a lack of any substance. Weird the right would be excited about spending money to continue showing that she's done nothing wrong.

We'd be facing
2) A possible war with Russia.

vs the possible wars with NK and Palestine that Trump seems intent on stirring up?

Definitely not the smartest move on her part, but subsequent actions on the part of some of his supporters have since convinced me that the statement was more accurate than I perceived it to be at the time she said it.

It is said that Clinton could have won if she hadn't taken the trip to Arizona in the last few days. A campaign trip to MN, WI, MI and PA (especially non-city areas) might have won her the election, but no more senate seats.
========================
I've been a Democrat for over 50 years. I don't think that we would be better off now had Clinton been elected.

So, I'll listen. How would we be better off? Surely, no legislation would have been passed. I suppose that we'd still have the youth paying the Obamacare penalty.
It would just have been different. That’s all.

A lot would depend on whether the composition of Congress had been different.

But one thing that would have been better--we would have had Merrick Garland--or someone much less extreme than Gorsuch--on the Supreme Court, and she would not have nominated unqualified 33 year-old religious extremists to the lower federal courts.

She would have appointed Cabinet members who wanted to RUN their departments, not dismantle them.

Hundreds of important executive orders would still be in effect. Dreamers wouldn't be deported. Federal lands wouldn't be given to the highest bidder.

Net neutrality would still be in effect.

Even if a Republican Congress tried to investigate her, their investigations would be stalled for lack of evidence.

Puerto Ricans would have had electricity and water a month or two ago. An overpriced crony contract wouldn't have been given by Zinke.

That's just for starters.

Oh, Kim Jung Un wouldn't be sending missiles all over the place--he might have done his usual test in the spring, but, without Trump tweeting inflammatory nonsense, he'd settle down.

Jerusalem will be the flash point for (gasp) the 'final conflagration'. Trump is just advancing prophecy (who could be against that?).

Why do people think this is the case? In neither Christianity nor Judaism does THIS nation state of Israel have to be THE ONE OF PROPHECY. In theory, it could be wiped out for another two thousand years and nothing changes.

Considering the present state of things in the world it fits end time prophecy pretty well; Genesis 49:8-10, Ezekiel 5:1-5.

It appears you have not been paying attention or studied Kim in any kind of way.

I agree that the major enduring difference would have been the courts. With a Republican majority, we might still be waiting for Clinton's nominee to be approved.

Clinton would have been Obama on steroids. If you liked him, you would love her.

Very much disagree with your post.

Overall, I liked Obama (certainly wasn't thrilled with him, but relative to other recent presidents, I liked him), I would have like Hillary significantly less - I very much dislike Hillary Clinton (I don't think many of the claims the right makes about her are valid, but she's certainly a corrupt career politician as they essentially all are).

As to the OP, some differences we'd have with Clinton as president is that our reputation on the world stage would still be intact, rather than tattered from Trump's puerile behavior.

We'd still be sharply divided as a country. Electing either Trump or Hillary (or even Cruz) would have insured that. Probably Bernie too, but I think the division might have been along slightly different lines.

We wouldn't be putting in a massive tax cut for the wealthy. As to whether the proposed tax reform will be a good or bad thing, i'll let things play out before we assess the impact.

I dunno. Would getting run over by a bus be better or worse than getting run over by a garbage truck?
Ya gotta admit it's been an interesting year.

Despite determined efforts of the old Democrats, the dying mainstream media, hostile Republican leadership, the entrenched bureaucratic state and anti-Trump bots rampaging through social media ... Trump has managed to thrive ... and fulfill campaign promises nobody believed possible.

Gotta give credit where credit is due.

I"ll agree. He fulfilled the promises. Now, I hate the promises and I think the people who want them don't really know what they're doing but, yes, he fulfilled the horrible promises that ensured I voted against him.

Can you name say...3 laws where he actively "helped" that got passed? Not one where he just signed his name to a folder for a photo op, but manged to get through both Houses and it then became a law?
tulc(is actually curious about this)
