The Ark is in a cave in Mt Nebo Jordan , check it out.

2 Maccabees 2

4 It was also in the same document that the prophet, having received an oracle, ordered that the tent and the ark should follow with him, and that he went out to the mountain where Moses had gone up and had seen the inheritance of God. 5 Jeremiah came and found a cave-dwelling, and he brought there the tent and the ark and the altar of incense; then he sealed up the entrance. 6 Some of those who followed him came up intending to mark the way, but could not find it. 7 When Jeremiah learned of it, he rebuked them and declared: “The place shall remain unknown until God gathers his people together again and shows his mercy. 8 Then the Lord will disclose these things, and the glory of the Lord and the cloud will appear, as they were shown in the case of Moses, and as Solomon asked that the place should be specially consecrated.”

The mark made by one of Jeremiah’s friends was discovered in the late nineteenth century by French scholar Charles Clermont-Ganneau b.1846, d.1923, while exploring the quarries of King Solomon under the city of Jerusalem. He spotted the carving of a cherub with a body of a lion, the wings of a bird, and the head of a man etched into a stone wall. This was removed and is now housed in the British museum.

God has gathered again the Hebrew from Babylon, so may be Jeremiah has taken The Ark back to the people of Israel ?

Since when were both 'houses' of Israel gathered back in the holy lands per Ezekiel 37?

The nation of Israel today is made up mostly of foreigners who became religious Jews, and then mostly Jews from the tribes of Judah, Benjamin, and Levi, with some small remnants of the 10 ten tribes that sided with Judah after God split old Israel into two kingdoms (1 Kings 11 thru 2 Kings 18).

Using a mysterious "wheel within a wheel" reference [Ezekiel 1:16], Ezekiel speaks about God leaving the temple in Jerusalem [before Babylon and Edom destroyed it.] I believe this is God's Ark being removed.

Per Ezekiel 11:23, God [Ark] left the temple, to a mountain to the east of Jerusalem.

In Bible prophecy, a "mountain" can symbolize a kingdom.

Since the Ark is the seat or throne of God on earth, per Jeremiah 49:38 - "I will set My throne in Elam" - I think the Ark was moved to Elam [Persia] the place where Cyrus arose to power.

Ironically, the only symbol of the Achaemenid Persians' [Cyrus, Darius, Xerxes, etc] one invisible God which they called "Wise Lord" is an eagle-like flying symbol that has two wheels.

Below is a link to that symbol in the ruins of Persepolis, Achaemenid Persian capital city built by Darius I who also completed rebuilding the temple in Jerusalem [Ezra 6 - notice Darius' curse on any people who would destroy that second temple. Later Edomite-"Jew" Herod did destroy it] that Cyrus had decreed rebuilt [Ezra 1.]

Per Revelation 11:19, God's Ark will be revealed from heaven.

The ark is somewhere in the land of Babylon, that includes the provinces of Elam and Shinar. It will be returned at the time of the end when the future rebuilt city of Babylon is destroyed.
The words found in Rev 14:

*[[Rev 14:7]] KJV* Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
*[[Rev 14:8]] KJV* And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

These verses are not simply about something that just took place, but that the hour of his judgment has come. God has promised to make Babylon a perpetual, forever, desolation. This is described in detail in Jeremiah 50-51. This is a call to rebuild the city, so that judgment can be given to her double, for her sins. Both Jer 50 and Rev 18 proclaim to God's people to flee out of her. But, first she must return there:

*[[*[[Mic 4:10]] KJV* Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

When it comes time for her the final step of her regathering from the wilderness...

[*[[Eze 20:34]] KJV* And I will bring you out from the people, and will gather you out of the countries wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arm, and with fury poured out.*[[Eze 20:35]] KJV* And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face.

She, Israel, will be dwelling on the outskirts of the land of Israel:

*[[Isa 11:11]] KJV* And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

Rev 18:4]] KJV* And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

*[[Jer 51:6]] KJV* Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and deliver every man his soul: be not cut off in her iniquity; for this is the time of the LORD'S vengeance; he will render unto her a recompence.

When the time for judgment arrives, near the very end of the last days, for Babylon, they will bring the ark back to Jerusalem.

*[[Jer 51:44]] KJV* And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.

The future destruction of Babylon is difficult to grasp because few see that she will be rebuilt. But if God's people are sent there, in the days that leads to her final redemption, never to stray again, then she will unequivocally be rebuilt, and destroyed by the judgment of God.

The scripture says that NEBUCHADREZZAR took it to Babylon, and from there it will return.

*[[Jer 51:44]] KJV* And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he hath swallowed up: and the nations shall not flow together any more unto him: yea, the wall of Babylon shall fall.
*[[Jer 51:45]] KJV* My people, go ye out of the midst of her, and deliver ye every man his soul from the fierce anger of the LORD.

This did not happen in the past. Here they were told to flee out of Babylon, before the judgment of God comes.

Jeremiah 3: 16 And it shall come to pass, when ye be multiplied and increased in the land, in those days, saith the LORD, they shall say no more, The ark of the covenant of the LORD: neither shall it come to mind: neither shall they remember it; neither shall they visit it; neither shall that be done any more.

17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the name of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart.

When Ezekiel told of the departing of the Shekinah glory, this was not when the ark left. This is a vision of when the children of Israel shall be gathered in the future to Jerusalem, during the great tribulation, and they will see the glory of God, the Son of man departing at the time of the rapture, when EVERY eye shall see him,
*[[Rev 1:7]] KJV* Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

*[[Mat 24:30]] KJV* And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Those remaining in that DAY, in Jerusalem, along with the whole world, will see the sign of the Son of man, coming in the clouds of heaven, returning to the Father:

*[[Dan 7:13]] KJV* I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

Once those remaining in Jerusalem, perish as a result of the 5th and 6th trumpets, then the remnant that fled into the for winds of heaven will be gathered together at the sounding of the great trumpet spoken of in Isaiah 27:13-14.

*[[Mat 24:31]] KJV* And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

They will have been scattered into all the world, the 4 winds of earth:

*[[Isa 11:12]] KJV* And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Where they will be gathered to the wilderness, and the rebels purged, will meet with God face to face:

*[[Eze 20:35]] KJV* And I will bring you into the wilderness of the people, and there will I plead with you face to face. 36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Egypt, so will I plead with you, saith the Lord GOD. 37 And I will cause you to pass under the rod, and I will bring you into the bond of the covenant: 38 And I will purge out from among you the rebels, and them that transgress against me: I will bring them forth out of the country where they sojourn, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Matt 24:30 is the rapture of the church, with the trumpet of God, and after Michael casts out Satan. Verse 31 comes about 5 months later on the day of jubilee. You see, judgment and release takes place in the same year:

*[[Isa 61:2]] KJV* To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
*[[Isa 61:3]] KJV* To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

Notice the words "TO APPOINT UNTO THEM THAT MOURN" and "that they MIGHT BE CALLED trees of righteousness". The acceptable year of the LORD and the day of his vengeance.

What you fail to understand is that the throne of Jesus will be set up at the time of the 7th trumpet, more than 3 years before Armageddon, before the ark is returned to Jerusalem. The children will look up from the place of the eastern gate:

*[[Eze 10:19]] KJV* And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: when they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the EAST gate of the LORD'S house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

Afterwards they will be gathered and given the land of promise:

*[[Eze 11:16]] KJV* Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet will I be to them as a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come.
17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will even gather you from the people, and assemble you out of the countries where ye have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.
18 And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the detestable things thereof and all the abominations thereof from thence.
19 And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:

The ark is in Jerusalem. Right in a cave underground under where Christ died on the cross. It was Jeremiah's burial cave that he ordered the priests to hide the ark right there before city fell to Babylon.

600 years later. Christ went to the Cross. He died upon the Cross on a rock above where the cave held the ark, prepared to receive his blood. When Christ died, the rock rent which I believe created a crack next to cross pole so that Christ's blood comes out of his side flow down to the crack and anointed the ark below.

It is finished.

The Gold covered box that held the stone tablets was merely a shadow of the ark that now exists.

Based on Hebrews 8:13, it is now "obsolete".

If you are a Christian and you want to see the ark of the covenant, look in the mirror.

1Co 3:16 Don't you know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?

Heb 8:10 But this is the promise that I will make to Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my teachings inside them, and I will write those teachings on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. (GW)

ARK OF THE COVENANT IN THE BIBLE
it's not in Jerusalem and hasn't been since Nebuchadnezzar. That is a part of your point. It isn't there until sometime after the GT. It wasn't there in the temple that Zerubabbel built. The reason that we know that it went to Babylon is because Hezekiah showed the men of Babylon, all the treasures of the temple. See 2 kings 20. Isaiah told him that they would come back and plunder what they had seen. Hezekiah showed them everything. Including the ark. Concerning trib signs point, what ever was there , it wasn't the real one. It is never mentioned after the Babylonians came.

It is in the temple of God in heaven.

Bingo.

Rev_11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.

Actually, my point was that during the messianic age, it will not be around. When it says in Jeremiah 3:16 neither shall that be done anymore, I think it is talking about the sprinkling of the blood of the animals on the ark during the annual day of atonement Holy Day. That particular function is no longer required

Are you trying to say that there will be no sin during the millennium? Sacrifices to the God and creator of heaven and earth will be needed as long as there is sin in the world. Our God is a merciful God.

We are already in the millennium kingdom through Christ's church that He as established since the Cross. Many people misunderstood thinking that the millennium is about a "sin-free" kingdom on earth in the future for 1,000 literal years. Not going to happen.
