I believe in the seven churches as ages...

Ephesus - Messianic - Beginning with the Apostle to the Circumcision, Peter
Smyrna - Martyr - Beginning with the Apostle to the Un-Circumcision, Paul
Pergamos - Orthodoxy formed in this time... Pergos is a tower... Needed in the dark ages
Thyatira - Catholicism formed in this time - The spirit of Jezebel is to control and to dominate.
Sardis - Protestantism formed in this time- A sardius is a gem - elegant yet hard and rigid
Philadelphia - Wesleyism formed in this time - To be sanctioned is to acquire it with love.
Laodicea - Charismatic movement formed in this time - Beginning with DL Moody, the first to make money off of ministry

If I had to pick an end time date I would go with the scientist, Isaac Newton...

“And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half.” –Daniel 12:7

From a folio cataloged as Yahuda MS 7.3g, f. 13v:

"So then the time times & half a time are 42 months or 1260 days or three years & an half, reckoning twelve months to a year & 30 days to a month as was done in the Calendar of the primitive year. And the days of short lived Beasts being put for the years of lived kingdoms, the period of 1260 days, if dated from the complete conquest of the three kings A.C. 800, will end A.C. 2060.”" - – Isaac Newton

As Charlemagne was crowned king on December 25, 800 by Pope Leo the III so the day of Christ's coming will be on Christmas Day, 2060. If the rapture of the saints (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17) occurs seven years before the time of Christ’s coming the date of the rapture 12.25 2053. However… Isaac Newton notes…

“It may end later, but I see no reason for its ending sooner. This I mention not to assert when the time of the end shall be, but to put a stop to the rash conjectures of fancifull men who are frequently predicting the time of the end, & by doing so bring the sacred prophesies into discredit as often as their predictions fail. Christ comes as a thief in the night, & it is not for us to know the times & seasons which God hath put into his own breast." –- Isaac Newton

Before Christ comes the Anti-Christ must be revealed...

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; - 2 Thessalonians 2:3

Who....

16 causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six. - Revelation 13:16-18

I traveled to Tahiti and couldn't help but notice all the electronic devices hooked to databases. All you have to do is swipe your passports and all your information comes up. You can even have your iPhone display your ticket information. We are not far away from having everything stored on a universal database in which we will all be required to be tied to! And for most folk this will be just another tattoo! 2060AD is a very close, scientific, and accurate prediction!

Between the Laodicean church age and 2060AD we will experience what Paul calls, "The fulness of the Gentiles..."

For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. - Romans 11:25

When the fulness of the Gentiles has arrived look for the fulfilling of the Ezekiel prophecies in which the Lord will defend Israel in Ezekiel 38-39 and the temple will be rebuild in the aftermath.

After the temple is rebuilt the Anti-Christ will set up his kingdom using Jerusalem as his chair.

2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. - 2 Thessalonians 2

I believe that once the temple is rebuilt that the Anti-Christ will reign and have seat in that temple. Setting Jerusalem as capital of Israel is a move toward this direction.

I believe this is the temple spoken about in the book of Ezekiel. Which has yet to be built. I believe that the Ezekiel 38-39 prophecies will make way for the building of the temple and the full restoration of Israel.

Rocky, how are you tying in the parable of the fig tree in with 2060?

Is there something in the Bible that makes you think this is analogy?

Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches. - Revelation 1:19-20

Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; - Revelation 2:1

1. Christ walks in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks, which are the seven churches.

2. Christ holds the seven stars, which are the people of the seven churches, in his right hand.

Yes the churches. But why do you think they are representing the church in different ages?
Every one of those churches existed during that time when John had the vision.

Were all of the Israelites partially blinded, or were part of them blinded and part of them were not, as found in Romans 11:1-5?

Based on Luke 21:24-28 the times of the Gentiles ends at the future Second Coming of Christ.

Well... You can read into Matthew 24 and find two meanings...

1. The destruction of the second temple
2. The return of Christ

You can also read into the seven churches....

1. Actual seven churches in Asia
2. Seven, as it is a complete number, congregations of the churches.

Great Question.
I've always wondered how (or why), in the absense of ANY scriptural instruction to do so, people allegorize the 7 Churches, instead of interpreting them literally.

Actually it's the 2nd Temple.

That would NOT be "reading into" the text, rather that would be accepting the text literally, at face value, and not reading anything into it.

2. Seven, as it is a complete number, congregations of the churches.

Now that WOULD BE reading into the text, inserting meaning that is not explicitly taught.

I was brought up in my early years Catholic. I visited the local Catholic Church last Christmas and a whole lot was different. I do believe that the Laodicean times have affected this congregation.

So that "Extra Biblical" information you gleaned from that visit to a random Catholic parish last year is what makes you allegorize the 7 churches of Revelation, instead of taking the text literally, at face value?

Is that what you are saying?

I believe these are Laodicean times....

1. Materialistic
2. Lukewarm
3. Sometimes downright cold
4. The love of many has grown cold - Matthew 24:12
5. There is a great falling away - 2 Thessalonians 2:3

And it has affected the Catholic Church. My dad studied to be a Catholic priest at Duns Scotus in Southfield Michigan. The whole 100 acre university is now a Word of Faith church and the Bishop there goes by the name of Keith Butler

The seven general congregations...

1. Messianic
2. The persecuted church
3. Greek Orthodox
4. Catholic
5. Protestant
6. Methodist
7. Charismatic

Are all very much different church congregations.

Catholic before Greek Orthodox :)

I think you may have misunderstood the reason for my question. In the parable of the fig tree - that generation is not supposed to pass away until all of things Jesus spoke of surrounding His return are fulfilled, including His return.

So 2060 doesn't fit. It is too far into the future. 1967 the Jews recaptured Jerusalem, the fig tree. Adding 70 years would give 2037 as the most future year, not later than than that.

Isaac Newton had no idea that Jerusalem would be back in the hands of the Jews in 1967. So his numbers are not based upon the actual information we have now.

I understand that you believe this.
What I don't understand, and what you have thusfar failed to demonstrate, is where scripture TEACHES you to believe this?
