You think making USA look like even more of a racist country is going to help you? I think you are very mistaken.

Even before this ruling, you were calling America racist. Clearly, the opinions of some will never be changed no matter what happens. May as well do what we can to keep our country secure without worrying about what everyone's opinion is about it--especially of those who can't be pleased no matter what.

About Islam not being a race: quite correct, it would not be proper to assume that someone with an unsubstantiated distrust of Muslims is a racist (although to the extent that being Muslim is perceived as connected to skin color, race could still be an issue).

Such persons are more correctly characterized as bigots and / or xenophobes.

And that's assuming that the religion is being linked to skin color rather than associated actions.

Security is so much more preferable to freedom. Good thing we don't call ourselves "brave" or anything. Boy, would that be embarrassing...

Dear Trump Voter,

1.) That's why I used the word "bigoted".

2.) Despite whatever you may perceive to be its effect, your quibbling over terminology doesn't distract anybody from the substance of the discussion, which is anti-Muslim bigotry.

Brave: "ready to face and endure danger or pain; showing courage." Plenty of people have shown bravery in their fight against terrorism and those who perpetrate it.

Stupidity: "behavior that shows a lack of good sense or judgment." The past 8 years of Obama have shown us and those in Europe what happens when good sense or judgement aren't used. Letting your guard down so that you don't get called names by those on the Left would be stupid.

1) The word doesn't have any meaning if it can be used to apply to anything we disagree with.

2) Use whatever terms you like. Such scare tactics only help Trump.

We're not applying it to "anything we disagree with". We're applying it to the negative labeling of a people group based on the actions of a handful of people within that group, and without consideration of the rate of bad actors within that group to the rate of bad actors within other groups. You can't honestly, accurately, or intelligently claim that Muslims are more dangerous than other groups without comparing the rate of crime/terrorism within that community to the rate of crime/terrorism within other communities.

It's more than a "handful of people." How many suicide bombings are carried out by "bad actors" in other religious groups?

This is why I used word "More".

Any country that has their leader (Trump) calling some of those pictured below "some very fine people" to keep significant part of their base happy has problem with racism:

The high court's action means that the ban will now go fully into effect for people from Chad, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen seeking to enter the United States.

Which one of those countries is 100% muslim?

I agree Islam is a horrible ideology and should be purged from the Earth along with any other oppressive, ancient Middle Eastern belief system we find incompatible with our free and secular society. I never thought Christians would support such a thing but, here we are.

Really if they vote for trump, I’m down with restricting the movements of Christians as well. Gotta be consistent.

Or everyone could stop generalising the actions of a few to the whole.
