Hello everybody,

What percentage of the overall population would you guess know that some of the end times prophecies are currently being played out in in our world.

>>According to the Hartford Institute of Religion Research, more than 40 percent of Americans “say” they go to church weekly. As it turns out, however, less than 20 percent are actually in church. In other words, more than 80 percent of Americans are finding more fulfilling things to do on weekends.Oct 14, 2013<<

Based on this... I would suggest that the amount of people who attend weekly AND read on their own outside of church AND attend any kind of study and class is likely to be under 10%. I think from that you probably will get a large number but it by no means will be the entire 10% because we have the pre-millennial/Ammillennial differences to take into account plus personal interpretation. Even myself, a premillennialist... I can see why we would think we are in or near the tribulation, but I can also see it happening in 100 years? I am not dogmatic over it even though I lean in the direction you probably do as well.

Some of the end-time prophesies have been played out in the world of almost every generation, depending upon how one wants to interpret current events.

That may account for the reason most people are not running around saying that the sky is falling. It is not because they dont believe there is an end to the age or that we might be getting closer towards it.

Htentrybody,

The world population?

A very small percentage, %1 at best would be saved, knock it down to one tenth of that who studies and is aware.

Yes I believe we are in the last days, developments in my lifetime, not seen in history?

Same sex marriage, with a majority of nations partaking in this, Netherlands was the first in like 2000, since then its been a landslide.

Homosexuals taking the pulpits in what is called the church?

Killing of the innocent unborn, 50 million a year, Abortion.

Save the dogs and whales, let the elderly rot away in rest homes.

I can't see it going on much longer?

What's next?

When a man of peace is in Jerusalem, proclaiming to be Messiah to the Jews?

The tribulation is on!

The Jews are trying to build a temple, the temple mount faithful sacrificed a lamb inside the temple mount walls this year, sanctioned by the Jerusalem government.

Russia is in Syria, only 100 miles from Jerusalem, tensions in Iraq, Iran, Palestine, Muslims, Jews?

Interesting times!

Hi I would think it is much higher as I talk to a lot of unchurched people and they have questions about it and are aware to some degree of the illuminati or coming tribulation. Also the Muslims are thinking that they are close to bringing in their eschatology of the 12th Iman coming at a time when great wars come and 2/3 of the world is killed off. Also the new ager's believe we are coming to the next stage in evolution and that something big is going to happen. The Catholics and many atheist are believing we will be contacted by our space brothers soon. A guy named Tom Horn gained access to the head Vatican astronomer in AZ at MT Graham where the worlds largest infrared telescope called LUCIFER is held. UFO"S can be seen better through infrared. This guy said not if but when our space brothers come forward they will be Gods creation too but without the sin of Adam and that they will not challenge the authority of the pope and will fundamentally change our understanding of the scriptures.
Most non church people have heard of the mark of the beast and with all the new cashless ways to pay even they are wondering about this as Apple put out a new commercial the other day with pay with your face. So in my humble estimation I would say 50% at least are considering it on a global level.

I can live with that number but I will add that the whole idea of "end times" is really at odds with Scripture. What we are looking for is the new "beginning" not the end. :)

It's a great segue to talking about the Gospel, imo! Except for those who purposely don't want to hear about what's going on in the world, and those who may be homeless and totally isolated (for there is plenty of banter on the streets) "everyone" sees what is going on in the world!

Do they realize it's in the Bible, these end-times events? Nah, most don't with whom I talk.

But I do find most are very concerned, and many are really scared (though they don't easily say that). You hear of someone stocking up on food or supplies and you know "why".

Address their hidden fears, I say! Intrude into their chat, or their list-checking. "Stocking up? I have a little, but only for hurricane like preparedness. Things are really scary in the world eh? You know, God tells us much about these events, in the Bible."

Go on... " God tells us that when the last days on earth as we know them, as we've become accustomed to, begin to look just like they are, Jesus will come back. "

It's holiday time for many in the whole world... but we have the BEST reason: Jesus! Go on and continue to share....

"Jesus came 2000 years ago. It's hard to imagine that He's coming back in our lifetime! Are you ready for that? Have you prepared for that event? Where will you be in 100 years? That's what I prepared for-- would you like to hear how to do that?"

Just. Do. It. Folks. Talk to strangers about Jesus like they're lives depend upon it---oh wait...!

To keep things in perspective, the Jews used to sacrifice their children in fire to Moloch in Megiddo. The world's most dominant empire to ever exist (the Romans) made the worship of Pagan gods a part of the daily lives of all its citizens. In the dark ages the RCC murdered millions of protestant Christians just because.

The world has seen much darker times, therefore the amount of evil in the world can't be a predictor of the end of the age or it would've ended hundreds or thousands of years ago.

The Jews are trying to build a temple, the temple mount faithful sacrificed a lamb inside the temple mount walls this year, sanctioned by the Jerusalem government.
They can sacrifice all the lambs they want. That's not going to bring Jesus back.

Russia is in Syria, only 100 miles from Jerusalem, tensions in Iraq, Iran, Palestine, Muslims, Jews?
As irrelevant as the thousands of other wars that came before.

As Brian M says in #6, there is a lot of people out there who know there must be some kind of dramatic change to the world quite soon. This is really obvious to any thinking person, who follows the news and knows statistics, like populations, food and resource supplies, etc.
Also scientists know about the increasing problems with human and plant diseases, weather changes, earth changes and the real threat of a cosmic event happening.
The big one that is known to be not just a possibility, but a probability; that Governments and the elite, are busily preparing for, is a Coronal Mass Ejection; an earth directed explosion of the suns surface. These CME's occur frequently, generally small and almost always shoot off in every other direction.

We Christian Bible believers have the sure Word of God's prophets, who have given us all the information needed to be aware and prepared for what He plans to do.
Isaiah 30:26 plainly states: the sun will shine seven times brighter [stronger] like seven days in one..... This CME; there is no other explanation for it, is what will cause all vividly prophesied details about the Lord's Day of wrath to literally come true.
But for every faithful Christian, all who call upon God's Name, Joel 2:32, Acts 2:21 and Isaiah 30:26 goes on to say; on that Day, the Lord will heal our wounds, that is: our sins and our hearts of stone will be changed by His spirit. Hebrews 10:16, Romans 9:24-26
Ezekiel 34:11-16 says that after the Day of cloud and darkness, the Lord will gather His sheep and bring them home into their heritage. Romans 8:18-19

50-60 million unborn killed every year by Abortion silences your claim in my opinion.

You could put all the wars and killings In history, that wouldn't exceed 3 years of killing the unborn in the world.

Possibly, at best, 5%. (world-wide)
Maybe only 3%.

It's not important how many though.
Jesus Says it's not important how many - rather DO the will of the Father in heaven,
as that is what is important,
and is UNaffected by how many.

There it is "The Coronal Mass Ejection"!
There it is: Truth7t7's denial of scripture!
I provide undeniable Biblical proofs of what God plans for our future, you just dismiss them without any scriptural support or any alternatives.

Isaiah 30:26 is your proof text in the sun shining seven fold, the moon is brighter also.

Keras does the moon find its light from the sun?

The thing I struggle with, is,, what am I supposed to tell people - who have no spiritual roots?

You can't say "hey, by the way: I'd rather commit suicide than take the mark of the man of sin - just saying"

But the longer people's sin stays under the hood: what else are those without a conscience going to "push"?

-

I mean is it failed leadership, because God wants it to fail? That's wishful thinking in the extreme?

The same way the moon always does; by reflection.
This extremely bright CME flash of the sun, will make the moon shine as bright as the sun. But only for a few moments.
The Bible says this will happen. What is your motivation in deriding and denying it?

I agree The moon is a reflection of the sun, and the sun will be a reflection of Jesus Christ in his Glory, in the Brightness of His Return.

I see the second advent of Jesus Christ in Isaiah 30:27-29, and I see the Brightness in Jesus Christ's Return Alone, Eminating From His Glory Alone, Fulfilling The Sun Increasing In Brightness SevenFold, As Seen In Isaiah 30:26

Acts 26:13KJV
At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.

2 Thessalonians 2:8KJV
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
The same way the moon always does; by reflection.
This extremely bright CME flash of the sun, will make the moon shine as bright as the sun. But only for a few moments.

Read the context of Isaiah 30:25-33. Nothing about Jesus' Return in glory, but plenty about His wrath and punishment of the nations.
Allegorizing or spiritualizing prophesies like that is a bad mistake and just leaves you in the dark.
