....and do you think there is a spiritual facet to it all?

We all know this stuff has been going on forever. Here and there we hear of someone getting caught, but there certainly has been a rash of reports lately. It could be that some women feel more confident to talk if others do as well, but I am wondering if there is a spiritual facet to it.

It's not just sexual harassment, many crooked kings and politicians are being exposed of late.
I really wonder if God is allowing evil to be exposed for what it is and how prevalent in society it is. Evil meaning corruption, modern slavery, sexual harassment, ect.

Any feelings on this? I have done a few in depth searches but nobody else is making any connections that I can find. Is it just coincidence or is there something bigger going on?
I realize any answer is speculation, but can we speculate?

People who have been feeling hopeless and unable to speak up against the powerful are finding the courage to speak up finally because others are speaking up.

It's impossible to say what the long term effects of this will be. It's a good thing, certainly; whether it will result in a long-term change in society and in our institutions is something we'll have to see as time marches forward.

I think one possible outcome could be that more and more women get elected; they could change both the law and attitudes on sexual harrassment in all its forms in any work environment. This may take a generation but big change could happen.

People are finally getting the courage to speak out about things that have happened in the past, whereas in the past, they were much more likely to simply just be dismissed. As more people are coming out and the accused are actually facing consequences, it's only encourage more victims to speak out.

I think it's a result of the feminist's "Me too" campaign
backfiring against them. Instead of bringing out more
false charges against Republicans, it encouraged those
who were actually abused to come forward. It seems that
those who thrive on vilifying others have been the most
serious offenders.

There is no backfiring. This is the real thing. Both sides of the aisle have misused their power and women are so, so relieved to finally be able to talk about it.

I think the media explosion of past sexual harassment claims against politicians is evidence of organized power trying to undermine confidence in our government officials.
So do you think it would be better to just continue to keep quiet and let other women go through the same thing, only to have to silence themselves, too?

Is it anti-man for women to save their sexuality for their husbands?

No, its more like common sense that seems to be disappearing more and more with each progressive generation.
Its like everyone wants the experience of flying a military jet or other similar "adrenaline experience", but not many want to deal with the work and responsibility that comes along with it. Unfortunately, sex doesn't have similar stop gaps to prevent a couple from copulating who are not interested in the potential responsibilities that go with it. They want sex on demand, and since the advent of contraceptive devices/drugs, this practice has become quite ubiquitous and an acceptable part of society.

Well, of course.

Suppose someone visited nazi germany when the pharmacists there were praciticing their gruesome experiments on , well, on whoever they wanted to without any restrictions, without any remorse, without any good purpose.

Would the average visitor be invited to the horror chamber ? (no)
Would the commandants love all the power, money, control, and (so-called) prestige they received, even applause, for their 'achievements'? (even if condemnable and totally inhuman)

Would you trust any news stories about their 'progress' that they published ? (no)(hope not anyway) ....

Society in the days of NOAH was a lot like that also - only they cared even less if anyone knew, since everyone was totally wicked and evil except for Noah and those with Noah who got on the ARK and were saved.

Jesus said society today is like that also, and it has been, and is growing worse rapidly, everywhere almost, and daily, towards the summation of all in the 'system' being set up as God's Word Says. (the enemy's system)

All the 'hype' is just that, hype, spin, deception, throwing out a scapegoat now and then to accomplish the hidden goals, the secret agenda,
to get the 'people' cowed or submissive or controllable and willing to go along with the evil system ,
and of course ot get their money, etc ....

I apologize in advance if I am missing something, but how does your comment relate to the topic at hand? Women are getting unwanted sexual advances - - the current "Me too" campaign deals with advances experienced at work. If a woman does not want to be sexual with a man she is not married to, I don't think she should be criticized for speaking out against it. Talk to the women in your life. Do you think they should just shut up if they are harassed or raped? I think it is... I don't really have a word for it. Jesus was on the side of those who couldn't defend themselves, not mad at them for doing what they can to be morally pure.

Speaking out has so far most often resulted in things getting worse.

Yahweh has a Plan, and Yahweh knows how and what to do.

That is what to find out, and to DO. "Whoever hears MY FATHER'S WORD, and DOES IT... " [is the MASTER'S CALL to HIS disciples TODAY, still, as always....]
..." IS MY FAMILY" (mother and brother and sister)

Yes, good to follow up/ pursue this. [by His Way, in His Word, Daily protecting all who we are able and who are willing (maybe some even if they are not willing?) ...)

Remember Jesus, and a multitude of others, died without resistance in obeying Yahweh and standing up for the GOSPEL of JESUS (see Foxes Book of Martyrs) ....

So would you want your wife to just let sexual behavior by her boss escalate until she is being forced to do things that aren't appropriate with him? Quit her job? Say it was a different relative who had to work or let their kids go hungry. I have no idea what you think is going on here but I find it strange that Christians think women should just....? What? I will let you say it, and my most charitable guess is that you are a man who does not understand what so many women go through.

But Jesus never had a boss who treated him like his sexuality was there for the taking. Men do experience this too, and some men are speaking out. From personal experience I can tell you that God does not interfere with abusers' free will in these cases. And depending on the circumstances, many women will be damaged for life from this behavior

Anyway. Jesus died for us all but my experience is that women/girls who believe can be mistreated by men who claim to believe, and justice needs to be served. Praying and reading the Bible is good, but it won't stop the abuser. The law and speaking out is a chance that the abus will stop.
