Gonna be honest, I hate Islam more than anything else on earth. (not the people who are muslims, mind) but they would still kill Jesus if they could.

Islam is antichrist in ideological form, with just enough resemblance to Christianity to make it a half-truth ideology to drag Christianity down.

I feel like it's okay for me to feel this way and that I should stop trying to stop myself. God does have enemies, after all. Christianity is not some progressive, go along to get along system of niceties like so many would have the world believe.

I for one am going to embrace my contempt of Islam. Giving it any benefit of the doubt is tantamount to sympathy for the devil in my book. I will seek to undermine it at every opportunity.

Psalm 139:21-22 Do I not hate those who hate you, LORD, and abhor those who are in rebellion against you? I have nothing but hatred for them; I count them my enemies.

what do you think? not progressive enough?

As a former Muslim yes we can hate Islam like all false religions but we shouldn't hate Muslims themselves since they are ignorant to the truth and severely misguided. But Islam is the religion from which the the antichrist will arrive this is a fact.

Sounds like a good ol' fashion righteous anger, I feel that way as well. Just be careful not to have it make you hostile in spirit whenever it comes up in conversation. Yes Jesus had His enemies, but he fought spiritually and timely.

I think how you feel about Islam should depend on which form of it we're talking about. Forms of Islam which promote homophobia, sexism, violence, etc., are bad, and every decent person hates them. Forms which promote peace and love deserve our respect.

There is only one form of Islam which means to follow the Salaf and actions of Mohammed and his companions. Which can include any one of the things you've stated since when I say follow mohammed some Muslims follow him in every way that's how you have people like Isis and Salafis.

I find the teachings of Islam, both the fact that they exist, and the fact that people believe in them, frustrating. But, what is the purpose of a Christian in a lost world? One answer to that is that we are supposed to influence other people for Christ. I don't think I'll ever influence anyone positively by trying to shout them down. Nabeel Qureshi's seeking Allah, finding Jesus, is worth a read. He's pretty emphatic that is was as much how a Christian friend reached out to him as what he then learned from that friend that led him to Christ.

I guess it was going to be par for the course for someone to read the OP and get it wrong. He did not say he hated Muslims. He said he hated Islam. There is a difference.

Last week on holiday I met some Yazidi Christians who had escaped ISIS in Iraq and are now living in Australia. They had to leave with just the shirt on their backs.

There are many Muslims in Australia who would not think of doing to them what ISIS did so we are not talking about individual Muslims. We are talking about a political system started by Mohammed who established his rule by brute force. Convert or die and the people that follow it to the letter which is what ISIS does.

If you read the Koran, they have every right to do what they do because it tells them to do it. In one sense they are the true Muslims, that is why more Muslims die at the hands of ISIS than non Muslims do because if you do not interpret the Koran like they do you are an infidel and the Koran is very clear that you kill infidels.

So you have three sides to this story. There is the Koran, there are those like ISIS who interpret it literally and then there are the majority of Muslims who go about there business.

The fact is most Muslims haven't a clue what the Koran says because it is in Arabic and most of them do not know the language so their understanding of it is what they are told by the Imam.

If he is a radical Imam they will be told to wage jihad (kill the infidels). If he is not radical, they will not be told to wage jihad beyond one that will affect them personally.

That's correct but I must correct you on one point Yazidis aren't Christians at all they are a religion which combines aspects of native Kurdish beliefs and Abrahamic traditions and they are actually closer to Muslims then Christians but most Muslims consider them to be devil worshippers. One of the reasons I left Islam was I read about the life of Mohammed.

Islam is the only religion which denies Jesus directly in its scripture. On the Temple Mount today the Dome of the Rock on each one of its sides denies Jesus because you can find the words of the Sahada written لا إله إلا الله ومحمد رسول الله, which literally means there is not god but Allah and Mohammed is his messenger this is a direct denial of Jesus and his father and what does that mean.

1 John 2

Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things. I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

Gonna be honest, I hate Islam more than anything else on earth.

That seems to me unhelpful. It might perhaps be better to say that you hate those aspects of Islam which are wrong.

No they believe in a false Jesus which was not crucified and was not the son of God. In truth Muslims believe in a completely different Jesus not ours.

Or rather, Muslims talk about the same Jesus, but misunderstand His nature in several very important ways. They are Arian, denying that Jesus is God. They deny Jesus' role as Saviour. And they are Docetist.

I myself dread Islam to a massive extent since it distorts and covers truth and replaces it with falsehood but I'm careful to not let Satan lead me to falsehood with my hate and anger and I'm careful to remind myself not let hate get the better of me.

I don't want to get into the debate about whether Yazidis worship Satan or not, but Yazidis are definitely not Christian.

Like the Bible, the Qur'an has been translated into English and other languages. And I'm also willing to bet that more Muslims learn Arabic than Christians learn Greek.

Islam took many concepts form Arianism a Christian heresy which denied the holy trinity and the divinity of Jesus as you probably know. Actually Islam is different then Mormonism in the sense that it was directly inspired by Satan while Mormonism is a false heretical belief Islam was inspired by Satan you'd ask for proof ok read the Quran and you'll find it's like the exact polar opposite of the Bible and it's teachings I know God inspired the Bible and if the Quran is the exact opposite only one being could have inspired it and it's name is Satan prince of lies.
