Should Christians be politically united against abortion?
Christians should unite against abortion! Even as it means disagreeing with and peaceful resistance to pro-abortion flanks within their respective political parties. All peaceful means should be taken to pursue an effective legal solution to that problem where humanist judges and politically correct politicians have essentially amended our life-protecting laws out of the legal code. The window of opportunity is narrowing for any such peaceful solution. Killing unborn babies is a sin against God.

Should Christians be politically united against abortion?

A true follower of Jesus Christ should value life that includes the mom and the child both during the pregnancy and after the baby is born. Sometimes people take a strong stand against abortion; but, do little to help after they convert the person's thinking. Sadly, the same often happens after getting a confession of faith from someone as well.

Christians should provide adoption services to any and all
mothers carrying babies. This policy would save lives.
Being "against" anything is futile.

It should not be a major issue because people of goodwill disagree on the issue. There are conflicting goods that make the politics and ethics of abortion difficult. Wisely, my church takes a very nuanced and vague position on the issue.

I believe the Church should be in the business of helping widows and orphans. This includes single parents in my opinion.

It wouldn't be biblical. Abortion was practiced in the world of the New Testament and in no place does the Bible, Old or New, condemn abortion.
This post needs to be ignored.

........and who fails like that, so miserably? We Christians. We "look the other way" while babies are being murdered. It is worse than any holocaust.

I believe that abortion should be legal, it should be safe, it should be available and it should be the woman’s informed choice but most important of all --- it should be rare. With that in mind Christians should unite in supporting policies that have been proven to reduce the abortion rate. Sadly that has not been the case for a variety of reasons. Instead most Christians have held out for an absolute prohibition. This is not only politically unreasonable but actually leads to an increased abortion rate with a huge increase in maternal mortality.

It's kind of hypocritical to insist babies be born into poor families, but be against social programs, so I'm kind of torn over how this idea is applied in reality in the US.
.
I'm in general concerned with the souls that are left without a life to live, which is a perspective that usually doesn't get addressed regarding this issue.

Its not murder in the absence of a functional brain.
From the precise split-second of conception the fetus is functional. The brain and organs are there, chemically and biologically.

I agree. I also think the Church should take care of widows, orphans, and single moms.
