An Indiana hospital system says a nurse is no longer an employee after she was tied to a message on Twitter claiming white women are raising sons “with the HIGHEST propensity to be a terrorist, rapist, racist, killer, and domestic violence all star.”

Officials at Indiana University Health said over the weekend they were investigating “several troubling posts on social media” that appeared to be made by a recently hired employee identified in news reports as Taiyesha Baker. IU Health spokesman Jason Fechner confirmed Monday that the nurse no longer works at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis but he would not say whether she was fired, citing company policies.

The controversial tweet, which the Indianapolis Star reported was posted on an account named “Night Nurse,” said: “Every white woman raises a detriment to society when they raise a son. Someone with the HIGHEST propensity to be a terrorist, rapist, racist, killer, and domestic violence all star. Historically every son you had should be sacrificed to the wolves B‑‑‑‑.”

Should we use words to incite others? That was a racial slur.

Proverbs 10
11 The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life, But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.

Proverbs 18
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Ephesians 4
29 Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

As far as we know, there is no indication she is a Christian.
Bible verses are irrelevant in this situation. They are instructions for how CHRISTIANS are to live.

This is America. She can say whatever she wants, but even freedom has its price. With freedom comes responsibility. Those comments were stupid and insulting. She as a nurse, is supposed to be compassionate, caring, and ethical no matter the race or color.

How would it be?
She was fired from a government position for speaking her beliefs. (even though it is state government, not federal)

No. Free speech has limits.
What ever happened to:

"I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it." ???

Is this not a violation of her free speech rights?

No. Her attitude is incompatible with a profession like nursing. That kind of prejudice has no place in a helping profession.

Not really. For example. No one can stop you from calling your boss a jerk. But your boss may very well fire you for doing so.
US constitution, amendment #1:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

It has no qualifiers.

Yes it does. "Congress shall make no law". Employers have every right to fire an employee when their conduct is incompatible with their profession.

Yeah. That means they can't put you in jail for what you say. Not that your boss can't fire you.

I think that’s been explained. If you refuse to understand, not my problem.

At this point, I believe you refuse to understand plain statements, so again, not my problem. See ya. Have a day.

My dear. You have every freedom and every right to tell your boss off and even insult their spouse or your co-workers. But you will most likely be fired for doing so. Freedom of speech means we wont go to jail for what we say. Not that we won't get fired for what we say. I really do not know how else to explain this.

Employers still have the right to fire people. Her contract probably as she has to talk nicely and post nice words on social media.
