Here's another FACT:
Automotive industry crisis of 2008–10

Trump has been sworn into office what less than a year, and all this economic turmoil I've been referencing happened not on Trump's watch, but on Obama's. The man had 8 years to be an activist, you know do something proactive about it, saying that Obama had nothing to do with, just doesn't fly, what did he DO to help the economy? Please don't even say anything like lower gasoline prices, that only started to happen conveniently during election year. And no, there was no good excuse for previous admin either, save the "war on terrorism" and related costs. The fact is, Obama had 8 years to improve and grow the economy, and that is but one BIG reason why Hilary lost, and by a sizable margin.

uhmmm...first line of the link you posted:
was a part of a global financial downturn.
and when did that start?
https://www.canstar.com.au/home-loans/global-financial-crisis/
The global financial crisis (GFC) or global economic crisis is commonly believed to have begun in July 2007 with the credit crunch, when a loss of confidence by US investors in the value of sub-prime mortgages caused a liquidity crisis.(emph. added)

The person currently occupying the White House will probably be leaving soon, too. He will go down as the worst US President ever. Of course, being one of the worst Americans ever makes that connection easy.

Awe....Has The Donald got someone feeling a bit TRUMPED? :)

Interesting how you missed the word "global", that reaches well beyond the United States...

You seem to have missed the whole point. I have conceded (I'm not such a partyist that I refuse to acknowledge faults) that the economy was in down swing especially during the last couple years of the second term of Bush Jr. The silence concerning Obama having 8 years to correct an economy which he was chief leading commander of, is telling.

Was that a goal post I heard moving?
tulc(thought the claim was that the economy collapsed under President Obama)

The post to which you are referring was tongue placed firmly in cheek as an indirect response to another post which amounted to nothing more than accusation and slander. Now if you read post #33, you will clearly see my position. The post to which you are referring, was not a "claim" as you suggest. Kindly provide some substance, I am tiring of this rhetorical emojii tennis match.

We did have a great President, only to have a minority of American voters replace him with a D-list reality tv show host.
tulc(hence the President Trump dumpster fire comment)

George H. W. Bush had a tv show....huh, that is news.

...your position NOW. Now that you were shown to be wrong suddenly the discussion is about something else. That's called moving the goal posts. :)

uhmmm...sure read like a claim. :sorry:

It's cute how you've tried a couple of times now to make this about how I post, how you were only kidding moving the goal posts etc instead of simply admitting you were wrong about when the economy tanked. :)

Wrong, it has been my position before Obama ever took office. Thank you for trying to correct a position to which you had no earthly idea until I revealed it in post #33 before any so-called "correction". Seriously get a clue.

Let me see if I understand this: we were discussing one thing, but what we were discussing isn't what we thought we were discussing because you hadn't actually revealed what we were discussing until we showed you were wrong but NOW you've decided to reveal what we were actually discussing?
tulc(wonders how that's different from goal post moving?) :sorry:

Oh believe me, I pray for him and pray for America. Loving one's neighbor doesn't mean turning a blind eye to their sin. I pray that he truly finds God and repents.

Donald Trump has the potential to be one of the greatest presidents of all time. Do you agree?

James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, Franklin Pierce, John Tyler and Warren Harding can all rest easier in their graves, secure in the knowledge that the current occupant in the White House will replace them as the all-time worst President in American history!

Obviously a lot will depend on what exact events he has to deal with in the future.

But, given what is shaping up on the foreign front and also what is before us on the domestic front - and considering his abilities, which out weigh his liabilities IMO, and considering his take charge and forthright manner - there is great potential for him to go down as one of the best.

Is there not?

Wouldn't it be true that any president, at the beginning of their term, had the potential to be the "best ever?"

In any case, I don't think the policies on which he ran would be the "best ever" even if he were able to get them through congress.

You said Obama lies, but then in saying that about Trump, (like so many people that hate Trump), say in the most derogatory, hateful and at times vulgar language things about his personal looks, his family, his businesses, his estates, his wealth, and on and on.

That behavior is not unique to Trump only, but rather is what democrat's do to people who are not a democrat, that may appear close to holding a political seat, or actually being seated, to which they carry on and on during that persons tenure.

That is precisely why, poll after poll, people who claim they are Christian and democrats rank low on being found to be exhibiting Christian behavior, nor are the majority of the working class, are highly favoring of compelled welfare handouts, and low on voluntarily giving to charities.

By common sense, you should know;
being accused of a lie, is not evidence that one is a liar.
hoping to do something, then not being able to do it, does not make one a liar.
trying something, and it not succeeding, does not make one a failure, it makes their attempt a failure.

By Scripture you should know;
How people look, or what they eat, is not a qualification for God to accept them.
Luke 12:22
Those who say, they Love God, but do not Love others that Love God, are liars.
1 John 4:20
If you don't work, you don't eat.
2 Thes 3:10
Those who fail to take care of their own families, are worse than unbelievers.
1 Tim 5:8

This OP is;
Donald Trump has the potential to be one of the greatest presidents of all time. Do you agree?

You can certainly disagree. However HOW you disagree is in the mode of a typical democrat, that adds in as many personal derogatory and hateful things that a democrat has been programed to do, as if that somehow justifies their hate. newsflash...it doesn't.

nauseous, stupidity, lying slabs of flesh, cess pool mouth, lying scum ball, nothing but shame

Typical ~ speech from a Christian democrat, and the world says, Christian? Huh, you want us to teach our children to be Christian, and this is what a Christian is?.....
you have got to be kidding.

Funny - a Fake newspaper, titled The Not Fake News and that's your source?

Failure
The Federal Misedukation of America’s Children
Book: Failure: The Federal Misedukation of America's Children - Vicki E. Alger

Failure results - poorly educated children grow up to be poorly educated adults and make poor decisions and believe fiction as facts. :(

You said Obama lies,
Yes, Obama lied about the ACA. He knew that many people would have to
change their coverage but told them that they could keep their coverage if they liked it. Regardless of the good intentions that he had, he still lied.
but then in saying that about Trump, [/quite]
Trump takes lying to a whole new level. One which hasn't been attained by any other person to hold office in Washington. He will lie just to lie and then lie about what he lied about.
(like so many people that hate Trump), say in the most derogatory, hateful and at times vulgar language things about his personal looks, his family, his businesses, his estates, his wealth, and on and on.
I don't hate Trump or anyone else. I'm just not blind to his rhetoric. You have to start out and understand that he is an egotistical phony. Then, you can Wade through all of the bull and cast aside 95% of what he says and then find a little truth.

God bless
