How many of those 55 million did Mr Jones murder?

Doug Jones supports a woman's "right" to terminate innocent life without legal counsel, jury or judge.

No reasonable person could consider Jones anything other than a zealot in this area. Indeed, in September, Jones told MSNBC host Chuck Todd that he has always refused to support a single restriction on abortion and that he will continue to do so if elected to the Senate. From that interview:

Jones: I am a firm believer that a woman should have the freedom to choose what happens to her own body, and I’m going to stand up for that, and I’m going to make sure that that continues to happen. I want to make sure that as we go forward, people have access to contraception, they have access to the abortion that they might need, if that’s what they choose to do.

Todd: You wouldn’t be in favor of legislation that said “ban abortion after 20 weeks,” or something like that?

Jones: No, I’m not in favor of anything that is going to infringe on a woman’s right and her freedom to choose. That’s just the position that I’ve had for many years, it’s the position I continue to have.

The question probably should ask how many deaths to come will be on his head if he is elected.
How many deaths are on the heads of Republicans in Congress who have failed to do anything to stop abortion?

Good question. Especially with a majority in the Senate and House, there is no longer an excuse.

Yes, Jones is pro choice. But I didn't ask that. SCOTUS gave us abortion rights in the 70's. Not Congress. Jones being a lawyer is not to blame for abortion rights, even though he presently is pro choice.

This has been the case for almost 50 years. Whether in a majority or not, Republicans just do not do much on the national level

No but Jones would be a Nay vote on legislation limiting abortion to 20 weeks. He clearly does not support this.

The US is in the stone age with regards to abortion restrictions. Most European nations have a 10 week limit.

The US, China and North Korea have the most liberal abortion laws.

It's not a good situation for Alabama voters.

Quite a few, I would think. However, none of them is running for a Senate seat this December and that's when the next opportunity to do the right thing will occur.

There is always next year in the swamp and all that seems to be what we can say for sure is a bunch of finger pointing.

I have a problem with abortion.
Here's what I also have a problem with:
Forcing a 13 year old rape victim to carry a child to term.
Forcing a woman to carry a child to term even when it puts her life in danger.
Returning to a time when women would seek extremely dangerous back-alley or DIY abortions.
Making it difficult for women to receive contraceptives.
Cutting or gutting social welfare programs which benefit women, especially single mothers and their children.
Restricting or gutting sexual education programs.
Creating social conditions in which a woman is pressured to choose an abortion.

I have a problem with conflating pro-choice with pro-abortion; and anti-abortion with pro-life. Because being pro-choice is no more being pro-abortion than being anti-abortion is pro-life.

Horrible situation. What did the unborn human life do to get a death sentence? All you do is make another victim to the rape. While the rapist might get 7 years in jail, three hot meals, climate controlled cell, cable etc. Then gets out in 3 for good behavior and back on the streets.
Forcing a woman to carry a child to term even when it puts her life in danger.
Even before Roe v. Wade such was never an issue. Not even in Texas.
Returning to a time when women would seek extremely dangerous back-alley or DIY abortions.
The human life inside the woman is either that or it is not. Such drives the hearts and minds of a society.
Making it difficult for women to receive contraceptives.
Don't see anyone blocking the doors there.
Cutting or gutting social welfare programs which benefit women, especially single mothers and their children.
Don't see anyone suggesting the cutting of such programs.
Restricting or gutting sexual education programs.
It should be up to families and local communities how they handle such.

Do you think that Bill Clinton would be elected now if he were to run for public office?
As he is now? No. But if you are asking if the Bill Clinton of 1992 were transported into the present, what then would happen, that's an exercise in speculation. There's no way of knowing. But remember that he won in 1992 only because Ross Perot got 19% of the vote. Something equivalent to that development isn't likely to occur again soon.

No, Clinton's actions costed the Democrats the 2000 election.
Do you have some info. to base that on?

Personally I think Al Gore lost the election, at least my vote for Bush had nothing to do with what Clinton did.

There was a Pew Report poll done in which voters, especially Independents, had soured on all of the Clinton scandals and wanted something fresh in office. Gore still won the popular vote but with Florida going to Bush by a slight margin the electoral votes went to Bush.
