Time magazine is disputing President Donald Trump's account of how he rejected the magazine's request for an interview and photo sessions ahead of its "Person of the Year" issue.

In a Friday evening tweet, Trump says the magazine informed him he was "probably" going to be granted the title for the second year in a row. He tweets: "I said probably is no good and took a pass."

LOL! This post is totally backwards, Saucy. For one, it's foolish to say that folks who have called Trump out on this latest whopper of his have unwavering trust in the media. That's just silly nonsense. All you need is to use some good sense. Has Time ever had the same person as the person of the year back-to-back? Trump lies constantly, often for dumb, childish reasons, when there's no reason in the world to lie. This is an example. It was all about stroking his ego. The issue is the with the folks who have unwavering trust in Trump, believe whatever he says is true no matter how false it is. It's like that fellow who said if Jesus came down from the cross & said something that contradicted what Trump said, he'd believe Trump.

I'm not sure why you're having a problem with this: President Trump is the one who made it news, Time didn't post anything about it until President Trump said something, then they just corrected what he said. If anyone is to blame for making "this crap news" look no further then the White House "tweeter in chief".

Relevant to this case ; we know he has lied before by faking those Time covers among other things so his credibility here is nonexistent.

Time Mag gathers potential names, contacts the names on their short list to see if they would agree to photos and interview, from those that agree, the editors make the selection, before the name is publicly announced by the mag. and the mag printed and sold. IF a person does not agree, they are no longer in consideration.

The same happened in 2004, when both Michael Moore and Mel Gibson agreed to share the "person of the year", where by both had to agree to an interview and photos. Mel changed his mind, thus neither were interviewed or photographed or were on the cover of the mag.

The point of the mag to make that particular issue ie "person of the year", necessarily requires the person selected to agree to be interviewed and photo shoot. Of course they contact the potential persons ahead of time to see IF they would agree to the photo shoot and interview.

Rarely, if ever, is a US President not on the list of names to consider. And of course they would require him to agree to participating in the interview and photo shoot.
Trump knows the routine, and wasn't interested this year to be considered.

What is the big deal?

What does ANY photo of Trump in "his" clubs, office, home, or otherwise, have to do with you?

And when did he "trot out"... print, manufacture, or sell any such magazines?

And by the way - Time "asked" the Trump organization to take down from public view, the covers that were not created by the Magazine, but that were created for Trump.

Lots of people create magazine and product covers with personal family photos, for their own enjoyment. How does that make make a person lying?

If you put your kids photo on the front of a Wheaties Cereal box, would that make you a liar?

I find it hilarious people want to know all about Trump, and when he tells all, people use the knowledge to make him so bad, while inferring they are so good!
