I couldn't find the discussion (I think it came up) about Hank Haanegraf's podcast on AFR. I was looking for it yesterday and don't see it, and his name isn't listed among the names list, and a search doesn't turn him up.

Thank you, but no, I saw that one. I could be wrong, but I though we talked about his podcast here. Maybe that was on FB I had that convo.
I'm not dreaming am I? I know I'm not - he DID have a podcast, along with someone else (or rotating guests) and I remember someone commenting that the way he spoke about the Church itself (as a body?) wasn't quite right ...
Anyway I was looking for it on AFR and can't find it at all now. I found an interview with Frederica Matthews-Green but that's it.
I do hope he's doing well. I know he was diagnosed with cancer as well.

I was afraid I had it wrong. But I searched for "Hank" just to be safe, so I turned up threads about Tom Hanks too ... And on AFR they have an authors page, and I checked all the H's (there aren't many). He wasn't there. But I don't know how often they update it.

Lord have mercy ...
My brother and his fiancée finally married a few days ago! They went to Mexico for their honeymoon, and there was a shooter on the beach where they are staying. Thank God they are safe - they had just left the beach (I don't know news of others). There is a bullet hole in their balcony railing. They said people didn't react strongly to it having happened at all.
I will feel better when they are back home, but of course nowhere is perfectly safe. I am thankful they are safe though. That would have been such a tragedy. They are a lovely couple and I'm happy for them finally getting married.

Is it ANY surprise that we seem to have a greater number than usual of non-Orthodox opinions etc. in TAW - given that we are a few days into a fast? Right on schedule, eh?

What a beautiful glorious day! Sunny and cool. I must say that I love fall weather and that's what we are having.
Large Sunday School class today too. Delightful children. It was my first time doing a lesson outside the box, since I wanted to focus on the Entrance of the Theotokos at the temple. And they gave good answers, and remembered the main points when I asked them later. And they colored icons and got the colors right.
And asked me questions I didn't know the answers to, lol. It will never fail I think ... I could know the answers to 1000 possible questions and they will ask me the 1,001st. I love that though. I love that they are thinking, questioning. And I love that I will never run out of things to learn, in the richness that is Orthodoxy.
My prayer is that I can do a good job at this, keep them interested, and teach them whatever will help them.
